What do we have to say about this?
They're remaking Papillon with Charlie Hunnam
by Anonymous | reply 56 | February 22, 2019 3:16 AM |
Why? Go see the original.
by Anonymous | reply 1 | May 13, 2018 2:51 AM |
The new version is "Bad-Ass"
by Anonymous | reply 2 | May 13, 2018 3:07 AM |
There's nothing bad ass about Charlie Hunnam.
This falls under the category of 'why' movies.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | May 13, 2018 4:28 AM |
Papillon is one of my all time favorite movies, and a pretty perfect one. Seems pointless. Why?
by Anonymous | reply 4 | May 13, 2018 5:07 AM |
Just no.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | May 13, 2018 5:23 AM |
Anything showcasing Charlie Hunnam's fine face and bod is A-OK with me. As long as there's a nude scene (but he's cool with those, so the chances are good).
by Anonymous | reply 6 | May 13, 2018 6:28 AM |
I'm all for it as long as there is sustained, prolonged nudity.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | May 13, 2018 6:47 AM |
Why, why, why
by Anonymous | reply 8 | May 13, 2018 12:28 PM |
The most pointless remake since Psycho
by Anonymous | reply 9 | May 13, 2018 3:53 PM |
Hollywood sure is trying and failing at making him a star.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | May 13, 2018 4:01 PM |
If they can remake a flop like Overboard (although I liked it), anything is up for grabs.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | May 13, 2018 4:02 PM |
No thanks! Awful idea.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | May 13, 2018 4:09 PM |
"Hollywood sure is trying and failing at making him a star."
We'll never stop trying to make Charlie Hunnam and Armie Hammer happen!!!
by Anonymous | reply 13 | May 13, 2018 4:09 PM |
efeery
by Anonymous | reply 14 | May 14, 2018 1:58 AM |
Hunnam better start stripping down and showing copious skin as his career needs a lift and its the best most direct way to get there. Unless! Unless a great script comes his way.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | May 14, 2018 2:17 AM |
The movie has already been complete for awhile now. I'm not sure if and when they are going to release it.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | May 14, 2018 2:25 AM |
I'd see it.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | May 14, 2018 2:31 AM |
Apparently the new Charlie Hunnam version of this movie will be released in the USA in August of 2018.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | May 14, 2018 2:34 AM |
"Apparently the new Charlie Hunnam version of this movie will be released in the USA in August of 2018."
And will promptly flop
by Anonymous | reply 19 | May 14, 2018 2:43 AM |
gosh he look old for his age
musta lived fast n hard...
be hard to beat the first one, was such a good movie
by Anonymous | reply 20 | May 14, 2018 2:49 AM |
True, every movie he in bombs, yet they keep giving him big movies. Someboddy up there likes him..
by Anonymous | reply 21 | May 14, 2018 5:10 AM |
Even if it's good, and it may well be with the talent involved, it's still just kind of......pointless.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | May 14, 2018 5:14 AM |
i wanan bum him
by Anonymous | reply 23 | May 14, 2018 5:16 AM |
lovely dogs, my sis found one by the highway near Waco tx, ... cutest thing! real attention getters, hers was tiny, black and white. lived to 13.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | May 14, 2018 5:36 AM |
I agree he needs to do a good nude scene. I couldn't get past his handle bar moustache in a recent movie. I like Charlie and hopes he has a big hit soon but sadly Papillon probably won't be it....
by Anonymous | reply 26 | May 14, 2018 6:00 AM |
Loved him since Queer as Folk, but he needs to do more nudity, cause his movie career is shit
by Anonymous | reply 27 | May 14, 2018 7:24 AM |
He is jinxed. will be just a tv actor
by Anonymous | reply 28 | May 14, 2018 7:44 AM |
This should do about as well as the remake of “Straw Dogs”.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | May 14, 2018 7:49 AM |
Who’s the co star ?
by Anonymous | reply 30 | May 14, 2018 7:52 AM |
Wish they would restore and release the old ones instead of remaking them. Bring back the repertory cinemas!
by Anonymous | reply 31 | May 14, 2018 8:19 AM |
For the youngsters who've never seen the original. This was one of my Dad's favorite movies.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | May 14, 2018 8:32 AM |
I'll take both...gift wrapped with bows, please.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | May 14, 2018 11:02 AM |
r33 Who's the guy on the right?
by Anonymous | reply 34 | May 14, 2018 11:21 AM |
He’s yet to top Queer as Folk.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | May 14, 2018 1:44 PM |
[quote]Who's the guy on the right?
I think it's Garrett Hedlund
by Anonymous | reply 36 | May 14, 2018 1:49 PM |
Uh, you mean remade, (2017 release) OP and already reviewed and off the screens.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | May 14, 2018 1:50 PM |
r37, it hasn't been released in America yet, so it's not "off the screens"
by Anonymous | reply 38 | May 14, 2018 3:33 PM |
What next? Patton?!
by Anonymous | reply 39 | May 14, 2018 5:32 PM |
Picture it: Charlie deep-throating Chris Hemsworth while getting eaten out by Travis Fimmel.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | May 14, 2018 5:39 PM |
Whatever he's in always reminds me of him in Queer as Folk.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | May 14, 2018 5:57 PM |
He was such a revelation as an actor in King Arthur. I predict an academy award!
by Anonymous | reply 42 | May 14, 2018 6:11 PM |
This year's Razzie award for Worst Actor
by Anonymous | reply 43 | May 15, 2018 2:43 AM |
DL kinda fave Rami Malek plays the Dustin Hoffman role...
by Anonymous | reply 45 | May 15, 2018 12:56 PM |
how does this guy keep getting roles?
jinxes every movie he in.
must have super tasty cock nectar.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | May 15, 2018 12:58 PM |
Charlie did another movie with for sure DL fave Aaron Taylor-Johnson. Guess who the director is?
by Anonymous | reply 47 | May 15, 2018 12:59 PM |
R47 who?
by Anonymous | reply 48 | May 15, 2018 1:09 PM |
Fine by me! The original isn't a very good movie, it's surprisingly bland and uninvolving, considering the subject matter.
The book is interesting, if you can find a copy.
by Anonymous | reply 49 | May 15, 2018 9:28 PM |
when was Hunnam's last hit??
by Anonymous | reply 50 | May 16, 2018 4:44 AM |
Aaron's wife. She directed 50 Shades of Gray a movie Charlie wisely(?) dropped out of....
by Anonymous | reply 51 | May 16, 2018 11:20 AM |
Trailer, showing what feels like the whole movie.
Handsome men, though.
by Anonymous | reply 52 | May 22, 2018 5:30 PM |
This will end in tears!
by Anonymous | reply 53 | May 22, 2018 11:59 PM |
I watched this last night on Amazon (it's free if you have Prime). Don't bother watching the remake unless you are a hardcore Charlie Hunnam fan (he is in great shape and handsome). If you've seen the original, this movie is so generic and emotionless - you feel nothing for the characters. Steve and Dustin had enough charisma that you felt for their plight. CH is not the actor to carry the many long scenes in solitary confinement. I guess millenials who don't even know who Steve McQueen is may get some entertainment from this film.
by Anonymous | reply 54 | February 21, 2019 4:52 PM |
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
by Anonymous | reply 55 | February 21, 2019 4:59 PM |
"I guess millenials who don't even know who Steve McQueen is may get some entertainment from this film."
Yawn, typical of a datalounger to bring up millennials for no reason, especially since it flopped with all ages. No one was interested in this.
