Hiram Keller's Death

[quote]Keller was married to actress Kristina St. Clair from 1981 to 1987 and had a daughter named Serena Keller Undercofler, who also works in the film industry as music supervisor. His last years were spent with his family in his native homeland in Atlanta, Georgia. He died there on January 20, 1997 of liver cancer at age 52. Keller was exposed to hepatitis C during the production of Hair, which is linked to liver cancer.

Sounds like the AIDS to me.

He was gorgeous. Did Fellini fuck him?

He had a great ass. I'm sure plenty of men went up into it.

"Hiram was the most beautiful male animal ever. He starred in Fellini’s ‘Satyricon,’ and when it came out in 1969, Hiram rivaled Nureyev as the most desirable creature of the period. He whisked me off to Mykonos for a romantic weekend, which is where the photos were taken. Hiram was bisexual, and had affairs with people that I can never reveal. Years later, he died young. Sad. But I’m glad to have this photographic memory of him. In the last pictures: The actor Hiram Keller on the island of Mykonos, 1970s by Mary Russell (fashion insider)"

"Plz take this down.. Signed His Family Thank you."

In some shots he looks like Nureyev. In others, James Marsden. Killer cheek bones. Martin Potter, his co-star in "Satyricon," is still around.

The play Hair is linked to liver cancer?

His beauty and personality definitely bring a lot to his role in Satyricon. In Petronius' novel (admittedly fragmentary) I would wonder why Encolpius keeps hanging with this louse. Hiram Keller makes him the kind of exasperating, charismatic, anti-heroic frenemy you can't totally tear yourself away from.

Why did he basically have no career after Satyricon?

Little Euro films and that's it. He was Actors Studio trained but never did Broadway again.

Was he too busy with everyone jumping on his dick?

by Anonymousreply 11April 30, 2018 3:31 PM

Pity.

Did he waste too much time in Studio 54?
