Funny enough, there's no nudity in the scene and yet there was an extended uncut version of the scene that infamously made the rounds in Hollywood, usually presented by Nicholson.

My question: If there never was any nudity, in the scene, what was there to cut? Hmmm.

Also, Lange is definitely cumming in the scene A's you detailed.

Is the extended uncut version available? I also read that Lange when referring to the scene said something to the effect of the realism of the sex was the directors choice which she respected and therefore went "all in" with. The foreplay is clearly real, why would they stop there.

Per the commentary, Nicholson was the one who insisted on wearing the hat, to be "goofy", against Rafelson's better judgment.
