Here we go.
Hotel shampoo sparks debate on white privilege
by Anonymous | reply 202 | May 14, 2018 12:31 PM |
I hate Halsey - stupid voice and dumb lyrics nobody cares that you like poon and peen
by Anonymous | reply 1 | April 27, 2018 9:23 PM |
It's always the black people who are hardly black that make the biggest fuss about "white people" and "discrimination."
She's whiter than I am.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | April 27, 2018 9:25 PM |
Is this idiot so poor she cannot afford to BRING HER OWN FUCKING SHAMPOO when she stays in a hotel? It's a complimentary item they put in the bathroom. If you don't like it, don't use it. And get over your nasty self-righteous attitude.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | April 27, 2018 9:26 PM |
I can't see how can she go on living deprived like that!
by Anonymous | reply 4 | April 27, 2018 9:27 PM |
You know, because stuff that's given away for free a courtesy, should be top tier spa quality stuff.
The only debate that should be had is how ridiculous whining about free stuff is.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | April 27, 2018 9:27 PM |
I have the same problem when I stay at Buckingham Palace.
Maybe if I show the Queen Halsey's tweet, she'll take me seriously.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | April 27, 2018 9:30 PM |
You know you all are mad at her for being white-adjacent. Preach, homegirl.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | April 27, 2018 9:32 PM |
She's super annoying. Plus, she might be biracial, but anyone who sees her will think she is white. I love all these 'woke' types of black/biracial women who sit preaching, but exclusively date white men.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | April 27, 2018 9:35 PM |
Newsflash, NO ONE can use that shampoo, you race baiting troll.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | April 27, 2018 9:36 PM |
Serious question: do black people have to use special shampoo? “Black people” shampoo?
And I am a white person who always brings my own toiletries because I AM SPECIAL TOOOOOO!
by Anonymous | reply 10 | April 27, 2018 9:38 PM |
cocoa butter and grease
by Anonymous | reply 11 | April 27, 2018 9:39 PM |
Halsey is not even half-black, her father is biracial, he's black and white.
She needs to STFU. And what the fuck does she know about Halsey Street in Bushwick?! That's where this poseur got her fake name. She needs to fuck off into oblivion!
by Anonymous | reply 12 | April 27, 2018 9:41 PM |
[quote] “I’ve been traveling for years now and it’s been so frustrating that the hotel toiletry industry entirely alienates people of color,” the biracial star tweeted, sparking a debate between herself and her fans. “I can’t use this perfumed watered down white people shampoo.”
And I thought that **I*** had problems!
by Anonymous | reply 13 | April 27, 2018 9:42 PM |
She is 25% black at most, her father is bi-racial and 3 of her 4 grandparents are 100% white. She does not have afro hair and is full of shit.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | April 27, 2018 9:43 PM |
[quote] I can’t use this perfumed watered down white people shampoo. Neither can 50% of ur customers.
FIFTY percent?!?
oh, I do NOT think so...
by Anonymous | reply 15 | April 27, 2018 9:43 PM |
I refuse to believe Halsey made a fuss about shampoo -- this is a man who was calm when the Japanese strafed the bridge of the Missouri.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | April 27, 2018 9:44 PM |
Why is she using shampoo from a hotel anyway? Unless a hotel is offering name brands, most crappy hotel toiletries are Made in China poison!
by Anonymous | reply 17 | April 27, 2018 9:45 PM |
On top of it all, her hair is quite short.... not much to even seriously tangle there. Perhaps she ought to choose nicer hotels, their free amenities are usually much nicer.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | April 27, 2018 9:45 PM |
She must be staying in some ghetto-ass hotels.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | April 27, 2018 9:48 PM |
Halsey, the Rosa Parks of the beauty industry.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | April 27, 2018 9:48 PM |
Can Jewish people use cheap ass white people shampoo?
by Anonymous | reply 21 | April 27, 2018 9:50 PM |
I’ve never heard of this person but she looks totally white.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | April 27, 2018 9:51 PM |
Jewish people are white.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | April 27, 2018 9:51 PM |
Ashkenazi are basically white, because of extensive interbreeding with Europeans, Cossacks, etc. but there's still at least a trace of semitic DNA, and semites (Arabs etc) are not white.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | April 27, 2018 9:54 PM |
She claims to be biracial, bisexual, and bipolar.
She appears to be an attention-whore, and I’d take anything she says with a serious amount of skepticism.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | April 27, 2018 9:54 PM |
Different hair textures do have different requirements, and most basic shampoos and conditioners sold in drug stores (or used as free hotel toiletries) are no good for type 3 or greater hair. That said, her hair is straight or straightened and I don't know why she'd ever be using hotel products anyway.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | April 27, 2018 9:57 PM |
I worked at an autistic home years ago and was completely ignorant about black peoples hair. One of the clients had her hair washed about twice a month. It seemed to take hours. Two aides would come with a caddy of hair care stuff and undo her hairdo and wash it. One of the products literally looked and felt like grease. After it was applied it seemed like a hundred gallons of water to wash it out. Then they wrapped her hair in a towel and it’s seemed like forever to dry it. I said why don’t you rub it, they sucked their teeth and told me I don’t know anything because black hair splits and cracks with that kind of treatment. Well excuse me.
So now I know why I see dandruf flakes on black women’s scalps, it’s an ordeal to wash it.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | April 27, 2018 9:58 PM |
I agree with her. Hotels need to stock all bathrooms with products for all guests, not only the white ones.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | April 27, 2018 9:58 PM |
[quote]So now I know why I see dandruf flakes on black women’s scalps, it’s an ordeal to wash it.
Why do you see it on white men?
by Anonymous | reply 30 | April 27, 2018 10:03 PM |
I love hotel shampoo!
by Anonymous | reply 31 | April 27, 2018 10:05 PM |
R16 My great uncle
I believe that she has inadvertently revealed what is at the root of the racial issues in this country. Does she honestly believe that black people make up 50% of the traveling public? If she does, then I have to think that many others do as well.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | April 27, 2018 10:08 PM |
[quote]Does she honestly believe that black people make up 50% of the traveling public? If she does, then I have to think that many others do as well.
I often take the E train from Jamaica Queens, which is where the Air Train drops off travelers on their way from JFK to the city. I always say it's easy to spot the black people...they're the ones without luggage.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | April 27, 2018 10:11 PM |
Al Roker @AlYourWeatherPal
#MeToo @Halsey #MeToo
by Anonymous | reply 34 | April 27, 2018 10:18 PM |
What was her practical solution to solve the problem? Bitching and complaining has become a national pastime these days.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | April 27, 2018 10:19 PM |
Halsey also says she suffers from endometriosis, like another non-attention seeking celebrity.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | April 27, 2018 10:20 PM |
R21/R24 Some, but not all Jews have ethnic hair. Mine is very curly and long, and for a wash or two, I could certainly get away with it, I just probably would require an entire mini bottle of conditioner. If her hair is dry or fragile, she should skip the wash and just condition if she's too lazy to pack her own. Prissy and high maintenance.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | April 27, 2018 10:21 PM |
She thought this was going to be her "take a knee" moment. Swing and a miss.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | April 27, 2018 10:22 PM |
Semites are white. Stop. There’s black, white and Asian. The end.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | April 27, 2018 10:24 PM |
What kind of shampoo is she going to use on this ‘do??
by Anonymous | reply 40 | April 27, 2018 10:25 PM |
Rug shampoo R40.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | April 27, 2018 10:28 PM |
For real though, is she not the whitest brightest lightest of all those claiming to be black?
I mean she makes Megan Markle look like Viola Davis.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | April 27, 2018 10:28 PM |
Did Al Roker really tweet #metoo to Halsey? Way to twist the me too movement.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | April 27, 2018 10:28 PM |
Wait... she's black?
by Anonymous | reply 44 | April 27, 2018 10:30 PM |
R44. She claims to be, although she appears to be whiter than snow.
by Anonymous | reply 45 | April 27, 2018 10:32 PM |
She looks like a trashy version of Megyn Kelly in OP’s pic.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | April 27, 2018 10:34 PM |
Most of the criticism she's getting is from white people. How has black Twitter reacted?
by Anonymous | reply 47 | April 27, 2018 10:35 PM |
I’d bet most black people have never heard of this poseur.
by Anonymous | reply 48 | April 27, 2018 10:36 PM |
Her gross, white pseudo-thug boyfriend constantly refers to her as “his bitch”, but she finds hotel shampoo problematic. OK!
by Anonymous | reply 49 | April 27, 2018 10:40 PM |
Lipstick Alley has a thread going in which they're debating whether or not she's biracial.
The consensus appears to be that she's white.
by Anonymous | reply 50 | April 27, 2018 10:43 PM |
Posted on Lipstick Alley:
"yeah...she's as white as the coke she snorts."
by Anonymous | reply 51 | April 27, 2018 10:45 PM |
Is she black like Rachael Dolezal was black or does she have the receipts?
by Anonymous | reply 52 | April 27, 2018 10:46 PM |
Her father who may or may not be biracial at least clearly presents as a POC.
So I guess she isn't Rachel Dolezal-ing this.
by Anonymous | reply 54 | April 27, 2018 10:50 PM |
The radio constantly playing her music has got it stuck in my head, and I caught myself humming her song Alone today.
by Anonymous | reply 55 | April 27, 2018 10:51 PM |
Never heard of her.
Never want to again.
by Anonymous | reply 56 | April 27, 2018 10:51 PM |
She is biracial. There are pictures of her where it's clear but she 's very light. I don't think she was raised in the black culture though. But her rich bratty narcissist problems need to be explained to all the millions of refugees around the world who don't have a bar of soap while she's pissed off because hers' is free. Sickening.
by Anonymous | reply 57 | April 27, 2018 10:51 PM |
But she’s a queer person (who only dates guys), y’all.
In addition to being a proud Woman of Color.
by Anonymous | reply 58 | April 27, 2018 10:52 PM |
Halsey, you need to stay in my hotels. We provide only the finest of hair care products.
by Anonymous | reply 59 | April 27, 2018 10:53 PM |
Will she also be campaigning on behalf of all the bald men who are triggered by the hairnormative violence of visible shampoo mocking them when they enter the bathroom?
by Anonymous | reply 60 | April 27, 2018 10:53 PM |
Her black? I thought she white.
by Anonymous | reply 61 | April 27, 2018 11:00 PM |
r47 for all that Twitter itself-and Black Twitter in particular-can be a tire fire, there's always a good percentage who are common sense, no bullshit users. It cuts across class and colour lines, too which surprised me.
by Anonymous | reply 62 | April 27, 2018 11:01 PM |
Who uses that shampoo anyway? There isn't enough in the bottle for one shampoo. Bring your own, you insufferable ass.
by Anonymous | reply 63 | April 27, 2018 11:04 PM |
Maybe she should stay in better hotels.
by Anonymous | reply 64 | April 27, 2018 11:08 PM |
I typically take all the shampoos, soaps, and tp in my room. Once I've collected a fair bunch, I take them to one of the shelters in my city. Some people are grateful for hotel shampoos and soaps.
by Anonymous | reply 65 | April 27, 2018 11:16 PM |
r65 that's a good idea. I don't travel anymore but I never thought of that. I just brought my own and ignored the house stuff.
by Anonymous | reply 66 | April 27, 2018 11:18 PM |
R65 I used to work in humanitarian aid and we gladly accepted those sorts of donations. Good on you.
by Anonymous | reply 67 | April 27, 2018 11:20 PM |
Wouldn't black people be upset if they were offered special shampoo? At one point, I think they might have been, but I don't know anymore.
by Anonymous | reply 68 | April 27, 2018 11:24 PM |
I’ve done that too r65, you’re right that people with literally nothing are happy to get these things. I’ve also clipped coupons for toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, razors etc., when I worked out I could get about thirty of each for free. Everyone should have access to the basics of human dignity.
by Anonymous | reply 69 | April 27, 2018 11:24 PM |
R69... talk about basic human dignity. I experienced literal violence when I encountered that “white people shampoo” in my hotel bathroom.
by Anonymous | reply 70 | April 27, 2018 11:29 PM |
by Anonymous | reply 71 | April 27, 2018 11:35 PM |
I am white-adjacent but I prefer black people's shampoo. It is rich and creamy and smells good.
by Anonymous | reply 72 | April 27, 2018 11:44 PM |
Nobody is exposed to hotel toiletries any more than flight attendants, and when I was still working we had a huge box in out various lounges where you could drop all your hotel stuff at the end of your trip. Then once a week someone took the box to the homeless shelter.
No one ever complained.
by Anonymous | reply 73 | April 28, 2018 11:09 AM |
Look at angry me! Look at angry me!
by Anonymous | reply 74 | April 28, 2018 11:12 AM |
Halsey is what happens when the hype and other bullshit surrounding a 'performer' is more important than the actual talent.
Welcome to the current world of entertainment.
by Anonymous | reply 75 | April 28, 2018 5:04 PM |
Do any of you steal those little bottles of complimentary shampoo or bars of soap? Asking for a friend.
by Anonymous | reply 76 | April 28, 2018 5:09 PM |
I've seen dozens of articles about this person over on the DM, and I've never bothered to read any, since she seems like just another incredibly annoying fame whore. Good to know I was correct.
by Anonymous | reply 77 | April 28, 2018 6:06 PM |
Actual black people on Twitter are increasingly tired of “biracial” people like Halsey and the new Storm talking on behalf of African Americans.
by Anonymous | reply 78 | April 28, 2018 6:30 PM |
R46 lol 😆
by Anonymous | reply 79 | April 28, 2018 7:56 PM |
If not for her collaboration with sexy emo-bros The Chainsmokers, no one would have ever heard of this bitch.
by Anonymous | reply 80 | April 28, 2018 8:02 PM |
[quote]Do any of you steal those little bottles of complimentary shampoo
No, because the shampoo is not marked safe for color treated hair. They should provide color safe shampoo for men of a certain age.
by Anonymous | reply 81 | April 28, 2018 8:04 PM |
They should just get rid of the shampoo altogether. That's the best option. And not all white people have "white people hair".
by Anonymous | reply 83 | April 28, 2018 8:07 PM |
R83, they should keep the shampoo, because most people staying in hotels are white male business travelers.
If this “adjacent” minority bitch isn’t happy... she can bring her own.
Why inconvenience the majority to satisfy a very small minority??
by Anonymous | reply 84 | April 28, 2018 8:11 PM |
I don’t think it’s a bad idea to have a variety on hand and a traveler can request something specific when booking a reservation. However I doubt she really cares. This feels like attention seeking through and through.
by Anonymous | reply 85 | April 28, 2018 8:15 PM |
I use a product marketed to POC and I love it. Mango and shea butter wonderment. Halsey needs to bring her own and stop whining. She's basic as hell about expecting someone to provide her special crap. I've got a news flash, Halsey dear...white girls bring their own. Black girls bring their own. It's not white people shit, it's just shit.
by Anonymous | reply 86 | April 28, 2018 8:23 PM |
Going for woke points, she is the female Jesse Williams
by Anonymous | reply 87 | April 28, 2018 8:23 PM |
She was on the TV news in new Zealand last night, had never heard of her, she has some disease or something she wanted to bring 'attention', but missed what it was, but did think she was white. Any idea what 'disease' she has?
by Anonymous | reply 88 | April 28, 2018 8:31 PM |
R88, she says she’s Bipolar. Also claims to have endometriosis.
I believe she also has Narcissistic Personality Disorder.
by Anonymous | reply 89 | April 28, 2018 8:34 PM |
That Bad At Love video is clearly some sort of Steven Universe cosplay.
I kind of respect that. It sets a tone describing her ambitions.
by Anonymous | reply 90 | April 28, 2018 8:51 PM |
I kind of like her. Yeah, she should minimize the SJW bullshit... but she’s interesting and her songs are decent.
by Anonymous | reply 91 | April 28, 2018 8:59 PM |
Halsey Street is the (one) black hipster street in Newark.
by Anonymous | reply 92 | April 28, 2018 9:06 PM |
Her real name is “Ashley Nicolette Frangipane”.
Yes, Italian.
She adopted “Halsey” by scrambling the letters that make up Ashley.
by Anonymous | reply 93 | April 28, 2018 9:11 PM |
R2 is such a deplorable human being.
by Anonymous | reply 94 | April 28, 2018 9:32 PM |
So funny to see the racists here get into a tizzy because she doesn't deny her heritage.
by Anonymous | reply 95 | April 28, 2018 9:35 PM |
R94, you have to admit she is very white.
by Anonymous | reply 96 | April 28, 2018 9:35 PM |
How is she black? Are all the americans blind ?, she is white anyway she is so annoying : lesbian/bi but only date guys, her boyfriend treat her like a shit.
by Anonymous | reply 97 | April 28, 2018 9:47 PM |
So basically she's a white heterosexual woman who identifies as a black lesbian.
by Anonymous | reply 98 | April 28, 2018 9:49 PM |
R98 has nailed Halsey.
by Anonymous | reply 99 | April 28, 2018 9:50 PM |
She’s white.
by Anonymous | reply 100 | April 28, 2018 10:02 PM |
I love “Closer” because of those smokin half-naked Chainsmoker dudes.
by Anonymous | reply 102 | April 28, 2018 10:09 PM |
Her wigger bf is admittedly hot in a trashy way.
by Anonymous | reply 103 | April 28, 2018 10:10 PM |
R103, that dude is very hot.
Halsey has good taste in white adjacent guys.
by Anonymous | reply 104 | April 28, 2018 10:12 PM |
This is Halsey as a toddler with her parents. Her dad is obviously black (by American standards).
by Anonymous | reply 105 | April 28, 2018 10:16 PM |
She's not black black
by Anonymous | reply 106 | April 28, 2018 10:18 PM |
R105. Well she looks white.
by Anonymous | reply 107 | April 28, 2018 10:18 PM |
She's not bi she's a closeted lesbian her bf is also gay
by Anonymous | reply 108 | April 28, 2018 10:19 PM |
R7 Wait, hold on! You’re telling me that bitch in the picture is black?!
by Anonymous | reply 109 | April 28, 2018 10:19 PM |
This is Halsey with her family from a few years ago. I never would've guessed she had a black father.
by Anonymous | reply 110 | April 28, 2018 10:20 PM |
So she has “good” hair, by Black Americans’ standards.
Biracial people with good hair can use the same crap whites use.
Regardless, she’s making decent money, and can buy herself top of the line hair care products. Most of the stuff out there is crap. I never use the soaps or shampoos in hotels. I bring my own, and never give it a second thought.
by Anonymous | reply 111 | April 28, 2018 10:21 PM |
I figured out awhile ago that "Halsey" is her real name "Ashley" spelled backwards. I'm proud that I figured that out all by myself.
by Anonymous | reply 112 | April 28, 2018 10:22 PM |
Her father isn't black black either
by Anonymous | reply 113 | April 28, 2018 10:23 PM |
She obviously grew up in a white community, with a white appearance, identity, and culture.
by Anonymous | reply 115 | April 28, 2018 10:24 PM |
R114, you become white when you look like her.
by Anonymous | reply 116 | April 28, 2018 10:26 PM |
50 percent? It's damn arrogant to dump in Asian/Latino hair in with African hair. They're not alike--I've never had an Asian or Latino friend complain about shampoo. The main bitch I hear from East Asians is needing to have stylists who can cut a straight line, since mistakes show when your hair is super straight.
by Anonymous | reply 117 | April 28, 2018 10:46 PM |
Funny how she goes out of her way to look as white as possible with the bleached hair.
by Anonymous | reply 118 | April 28, 2018 11:03 PM |
Looking for an Insta- gig?

R68 and R73 are you also the people who brought those muffin stumps too? Nobody wants the stumps!
by Anonymous | reply 121 | April 29, 2018 12:57 AM |
R121 LOL
by Anonymous | reply 122 | April 29, 2018 12:59 AM |
I am a female and cannot imagine using random shampoo in a hotel. I would bet that even the most expensive hotels have pretty basic shampoo and if you wouldn't use drugstore shampoo you need to bring your own. ridiculous.
by Anonymous | reply 123 | April 29, 2018 2:10 AM |
Next is she going to bitch on social media about how she was discriminated against on the basis of her appearance while shopping in a high-end store? It's just laughable she's trying to play the black victim card when she's even more passable than Mariah Carey.
by Anonymous | reply 124 | April 29, 2018 2:19 AM |
I don't know any women who use hotel shampoo or gym shampoo. Men with short hair use it. Most women have a short list of shampoos they like and the travel with their own. Half her family is white so she should be aware that white women are fussy about hair care products too.
by Anonymous | reply 125 | April 29, 2018 2:55 AM |
Omg I hate her and Bebe Rexa and Rita Ora. Awful fucking shit.
by Anonymous | reply 126 | April 29, 2018 3:06 AM |
[quote]She adopted “Halsey” by scrambling the letters that make up Ashley.
She claims to have taken the name Halsey from the Halsey Street train stop in Bushwick Brooklyn. As if this clueless little white hipster knows anything about Bushwick pre-gentrification. In the past, she wouldn't have hauled her white ass anywhere near Halsey Street! She would have been scared shitless.
by Anonymous | reply 127 | April 29, 2018 5:18 AM |
I'm sorry but she is white. Whitey White white white.
If I thought for a minute that she as claiming her father's heritage out of pride or respect I would say nothing. She is claiming black because it gives her an edge period.
If she were honoring her heritage, she wouldn't be doing the most to look as Swedish as possible. She's wear her hair natural and not bleach it white blond.
I think G Eazy is hot as hell even if he is Vanilla Ice 2018. He looks adjacent-ish too, but he also is Whitey McWhiterson from Loyola University in New Orleans. A good Catlick boy.
by Anonymous | reply 128 | April 29, 2018 5:29 AM |
My God it’s just neverending, these precious cunts, I’m so glad I’m old, almost free of it all!
by Anonymous | reply 129 | April 29, 2018 5:33 AM |
If your requirements are not met by the complimentary shampoo or the Cashmere Bouquet soaplets provided by the motel, you should have the good sense to pack a travel-size bottle of your desired product in your toiletries travel bag. It’s really a pretty easy and straightforward solution to a triviality that seems to have you flummoxed.
by Anonymous | reply 130 | April 29, 2018 5:49 AM |
R114, that's what she wears with her father?! Button your shirt! Your boob is about to fall out onto daddy's lap!

But obviously they are both attention seeking white girls.

Even I know to travel with my own Person Of Color Shampoo.
by Anonymous | reply 141 | May 1, 2018 2:47 PM |
Well according to the DL racist powers that be, we all have been lectured several times how Italians are not white, so obviously both her parents are not white, and her Dad is black. I'm sur how "white" she appears bothers these trolls BTW.
by Anonymous | reply 142 | May 1, 2018 2:53 PM |
Well it sure doesn't bother this white person. I just find it funny that she deigns to be a spokesperson for African American issue, yet she does everything she can to be as white as possible..
by Anonymous | reply 143 | May 1, 2018 3:14 PM |
YesR143... Apparently the only obviously black thing is her requirement for African hair products!
by Anonymous | reply 144 | May 1, 2018 3:18 PM |
Astounding how this forum is reflexively hostile to any and all things Black BUT claims that the biracial pop star is the one overreacting.

She's about as black as I am.
by Anonymous | reply 147 | May 1, 2018 3:40 PM |
That may be true r145, but that's not what's happening here, or at least not what I've said in this thread.
If we want to use the language of callout culture, she's extremely privileged but claiming that she's oppressed, because the race everyone seems to care about these days is the oppression Olympics. There are black folks out there getting shot for their blackness, and then there's this basically white girl saying she's on the cross because the shampoo provided in her hotel room does not properly address her barely-existent blackness.
That's annoying, and it's being ridiculed. That's all.
by Anonymous | reply 148 | May 1, 2018 3:43 PM |
She's whiter than I am.
by Anonymous | reply 149 | May 1, 2018 3:45 PM |
If she had been born with her dad's complexion and hair texture, you guys would be calling her "that black bitch."
Also, if she had been born in the south in the 1940s, she would've been regulated to attending negro schools and having to sit in the colored section of any establishment that deigned to allow entry to blacks.
But now, you guys insist that she must deny her black heritage. Should she pretend to have no relation to her dad's culture and race?
by Anonymous | reply 150 | May 1, 2018 3:48 PM |
R150 Also... Also...Also... Also...Also... Also...Also... Also...Also... Also...Also... Also...Also... Also...Also... Also...

R39 WTF? Latin Americans are largely mixed racially. So you missed at least one big group there.

[quote]If she had been born with her dad's complexion and hair texture, you guys would be calling her "that black bitch."
Not me personally. But as I'm sure you know, if she had been born with her dad's complexion, she wouldn't be signaling so hard that she's black in the first place.
It used to be that white-looking people with African ancestry hid their blackness. At least that's not the case anymore, thank God. But for a girl like "Halsey" to go around shouting all the time about how "we black people have it so hard in white America when she's as white as Elsa from Frozen -- admit it, it's ripe for satire.
by Anonymous | reply 154 | May 1, 2018 3:59 PM |
Shut up, r50. She's a privileged white bitch complaining about privileged white people problems. What kind of hotels is she staying in? $100 says its the kind of hotel you or I cannot afford.
by Anonymous | reply 155 | May 1, 2018 4:01 PM |
Sorry, that was directed to r150.

Halsey calls out wigger rapper Iggy Azalea for “complete disregard” of Black Culture.
by Anonymous | reply 160 | May 1, 2018 9:35 PM |
Article is from a year ago. But it's interesting that in the sliding scale of virtue signaling, "Halsey" is happy to work with an artist who is a homophobe, but says "fuck her" about Iggy Azalea, who isn't properly respectful of black culture.
I guess gayness isn't of the same oppression level as blackness.
Meanwhile, January Jones envies the blinding, searing whiteness of Halsey.

Shailene Woodley is black

by Anonymous | reply 171 | May 1, 2018 11:25 PM |
Of course she should embrace her heritage. But why can't we be honest and admit she looks like she's one dirndl away from passing for Governess Maria and Rachel Dolezal probably has more hair care headaches from hotel shampoo than she does? She's not the best spokesperson for this particular grievance.
by Anonymous | reply 172 | May 1, 2018 11:43 PM |
I guess she won't be using White Rain shampoo.
by Anonymous | reply 173 | May 1, 2018 11:48 PM |
What I glean from this discussion is that some are unsettled by her claiming an identity that is other than white. Since she is "privileged" to look white she should shut up and pretend to be white so as not to upset the order of things. The hostility is about her blackness or lack thereof.
by Anonymous | reply 174 | May 1, 2018 11:52 PM |
R174 I thought it was a conversation about hair texture and hotel shampoo.
by Anonymous | reply 175 | May 2, 2018 12:06 AM |

by Anonymous | reply 177 | May 2, 2018 1:34 AM |
No 174, she’s complaining about the hardships of daily life living as a black person... when she’s actually living and appearing as a white person.
I don’t really care whether she looks white or black... right now she just looks like an asshole.
by Anonymous | reply 178 | May 2, 2018 1:41 AM |
If you want what you want when you want it, then you need to make it happen.
She could have called the hotel ahead of her arrival and asked that they accommodate her with her choice of products, or she could have brought it herself.
by Anonymous | reply 179 | May 2, 2018 1:45 AM |
R179, her lack of any attempt to bring or request the correct shampoo... shows me that she didn’t really care about the shampoo.
She just wanted something to complain about and virtue signal over, and obtain the ever-desirable victimhood status.
by Anonymous | reply 180 | May 2, 2018 1:50 AM |
R174 No, that isn't even close to what I am thinking. I can't speak for anyone else though.
by Anonymous | reply 181 | May 2, 2018 8:39 AM |
Please, Bitch! Some Suave would do her just fine!
by Anonymous | reply 182 | May 2, 2018 8:44 AM |
She's misappropriating white hair!!!!!!!!!!
by Anonymous | reply 183 | May 2, 2018 8:44 AM |
Everyone knows "Black" shampoo is the higher quality shampoo with the pricier ingredients, like expensive nut butters and fruit oils. So while I'm all for the upgrade at "Motel 6", God is sending a message about who should be "privileged" and it's not the people who can sufficiently wash our hair with a moist hand towelette. So I can sort of see her point.
by Anonymous | reply 184 | May 2, 2018 10:53 AM |
R184... having to spend extra money and effort on something as basic as washing your hair doesn’t seem like much of a “privilege”. Seems more like a hassle.
Also, God is sending the message that she looks white.
by Anonymous | reply 185 | May 2, 2018 10:59 AM |
R174 most of us are laughing at her pathetic whining. If you don’t like the FREE products at a hotel then bring your own. It isn’t exactly a hardship to bring your own fucking shampoo.
People of color are facing real problems every day but this clueless cunt is appropriating their real every day struggles as her own in a blatant attempt to grasp some street cred to further her career. If she was being denied purchase of shampoo because her SNAP didn’t cover it that would be shocking. She’s whining about free products.
by Anonymous | reply 186 | May 2, 2018 12:57 PM |
She has been derided because she is claiming black heritage but doesn't appear black or even biracial. It's about shut up and blend in -- no one knows you are non-white so you cannot be a victim of any racial/cultural affront. This is not about hotel shampoo.
by Anonymous | reply 187 | May 2, 2018 2:27 PM |
Hotels must provide shampoo for color treated hair. Even high end toiletries are too harsh if you color your hair.
by Anonymous | reply 188 | May 2, 2018 2:33 PM |
Hotels only use shampoo and conditioner for normal hair. If your hair is dry or oily it is of no use. If your hair is fine or thick or color treated it is of no use. Blacks aren't the only ones who can't use it. I think blacks know even less about white hair then we know about theirs if they think we can all use the same shampoo and conditioner.
by Anonymous | reply 189 | May 2, 2018 3:33 PM |
R182 I don't know that hair is very bleached. I'm not sure suave is the way to go with that much chemical damage. She needs Pantene at least.
by Anonymous | reply 190 | May 2, 2018 3:55 PM |
R174 I think it is about both really. Her "special needs" hair is probably more the result of bleach, than having mixed ancestry. Everyone w/"special needs" hair, coloured with dye, bleached, permed, damaged, dry, straightened etc. all need to bring their special shampoo... It is just so ironic someone so white makes the issue about needing African hair products.
by Anonymous | reply 191 | May 2, 2018 4:30 PM |
This fool girl needs to learn that any toiletries the hotel provides is a COURTESY not a RIGHT. If you don't like their "white people's shampoo" then TRAVEL WITH YOUR OWN SHAMPOO YOU STUPID NITWIT.
by Anonymous | reply 192 | May 2, 2018 4:40 PM |
Stay at higher end properties or have your people dash out and buy what you need.
by Anonymous | reply 193 | May 2, 2018 6:31 PM |

Look very carefully at the photo @R160.
While looking at Halsey and Iggy side by side it hit me that if I had never heard nor seen either of them before, and someone said "one of the two is biracial, " I would have absolutely guessed it to be Iggy.
Iggy has always had a semi-exotic look in her eyes . Could she be many generations removed from an Aboriginal in the past?
