Russian woman cut off ex-husband's penis and scrotum as he lay asleep after turning up drunk demanding sex

A woman who used a large kitchen knife to chop off her ex-husband's penis and testicles has been jailed for four years.

Lira Plaksina claimed she severed his manhood after he appeared at her home drunk and demanding sex.

The 47-year-old Russian woman told the court her husband would beat her and she had acted in self defence.

But the judge, decided she had severed the 44-year-old man’s penis and scrotum as he was lying asleep on the sofa at her village home.

He also suffered an injury to the right hip in the incident in October last year.

As the woman was led from the court, wearing a black dress and handcuffed to a policeman, she was filmed waving and blowing a kiss.

Speaking to some of her supporters she said: “Everything is normal - [I got] four years.”

Her ex-husband is now living with another woman, according to his relatives.

Neighbours in the Vasilyevo village said the couple had frequent “fights” and there were “tensions in their relationship” leading to their split.
