Fresh Eyes Needed On Cold Case Serial Killer Of The North

They need our help on this probably simply solvable case. Simple for us that is. They excel in skating, snowboarding and beer production but as a society they blow chunks when it comes to solving crimes. Global attention and especially American crime solving hobbyists could most likely put this to bed in one thread. The killer targets all but one, young Caucasian women in Halifax. The sites linked below seem reluctant to mention obvious elephants in the room concerning some not all of his victims. We'll say it here. Offering the take that is needed to connect the dots and solve this case. We'll go there.

Reddit gave it a crack yet they won't state the obvious possibility that his first victim went there to score blow or meet with a client. Probably both.

A different take but still omitting the obvious one. This is more map orientated. The killer's route. Although the mention of two gay men missing and possibly other victims that don't fit his m.o.

Two gay men disappeared in the same weekend back in 2001. They seem to be forgotten by the police and the gay community in Halifax.

Michael Wayne McGray seems like a good suspect for these murders.

Oh, please, America has tons of unsolved homicides, why do you think we're superior to Canada in that regard?

Are you a freeper?

R4, why do you choose him? Was he a taxi driver? I believe the killer was a pimp and driver. I also believe he put ads in papers as a manager of a strip club to lure in victims seeking dancing gigs. Especially those who disappeared right from the airport. I think he used the Y as a bordello.

OP, stop bragging about your hobby. We all find you creepy. The cops will catch you.

Hey, at least I'm not on Websleuths!

Did McGray live down the block from last victim Shelley Connors? Whoever did that one took her cowboy boots, jacket and housekeys.

What about that Johnson guy incarcerated in B.C. from Halifax?

R6 he seems to have had a broad mo with victims as did this killer, and iirc he did have some connection to the YMCA, which it seems quite a few victims had stayed in at some point. He's not a perfect fit, but the Reddit thread made a good case for him.

A taxi driver would also make sense though. People tend to trust them, even in slum areas.

Thanks for the input.
