We only know what the stalker is telling Colin said to him. Marco sent Colin pictures an details of his relationship with Livia. Who knows If this is true. A civiliced response must be an attempt to calm the stalker and prevent him goin to the press. Next day they went to the police, so Colin wasn't as understanding as the stalker says. Anyway, I think the Marco is trying to vilify Livia and be a little kind to his husband. It's all part of his obsession with this woman and his desire to create strain in their marriage. I think Colin loves Livia a lot, they have two adolescent sons. A divorce will cause finantial problems for him... and he has been a pussyhound all his life, as many sources say.
