Obsession by Calvin Klein is what I've been wearing for 20 years. I admit I haven't done much research of smelling other brands.

A lot of it has to do with body chemistry, correct? Where a cologne like a heavy cologne such as Joop smells amazing on one guy, yet horrible on me.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | April 8, 2018 4:05 PM |
Joop has never smelled "amazing" on anyone, unless you were going for "amazingly horrible" or "amazingly oppressive."

I also like Old Spice, and I no longer wear scent every day the way I used to. The last couple times I have, it's been Eau d'Hadrien and Jicky.

My 19yo niece's ex wore Old Spice which I thought was an odd choice for someone his age.
I've worn Obsession for years. I know it's fairly "common" but I guess it works well with my body chemistry because I get compliments on it all the time. I wore Pierre Cardin in my teens and early twenties. I think mostly because the bottle looks like a dick

Eternity Aqua. It's light enough for my tastes these days. When I was young I wore fragrances like Egoïste and Xeryus but I just can't any more. My sinuses are causing trouble all the time and I can get terrible sinus pain and migraine from certain scents. These days I usually just sprinkle a few drops of Eternity or Eternity Aqua Eau de Toilette on my belly before going out and that's enough.

A man who feels he needs to wear Cologne has serious issues about his self esteem. Real men don't need to wear such shit. . It's a disgusting multi billion dollar industry preying on sad, insecure "men".. Try bathing on a regular basis. Natural oils on the other hand aren't bad. They don't have toxic chemicals in them causing one to gag and get massive headaches... Biggest turn off in a guy along with trimming his body hair, is a guy who wears cologne... Ugh.... Buh-Bye!!!

I used to love Obsession when I was young OP - it really suited my body’s biochemistry and smelled so great - and it lasted! A spritz on the morning would last and last - even late in the day I’d move or do something and I’d get a gentle reminder of it - and it was soooooo good....
Then after a couple of years using it - it didn’t seem to work anymore. It smelled pretty much the same when I applied it - but it just burnt off quickly and no remaining hint I’d ever used it. I thought maybe I had been using a concentrate previously and bought cologne by mistake - but it was the same bottle - and couldn’t see any difference in the labeling...
Years later I read a book about the perfume industry and it explained that when scents are formulated and launched, they’re full of real ingredients - the stuff that occurs in nature and that perfumers have been using for centuries, a lot like the ‘natural’ oils and stuff one of the earlier posters espouses. There’s huge marketing and publicity and the fragrance is put to market. And then after a while, when the product has been out a while and found its niche - the manufacturers quietly go about replacing the more expensive ingredients in the formula with cheaper synthetic equivalents...
They’re just not the same. And they pointed out that few, if any of the ‘great’ fragrances are anything now but a shadow of their former selves... it’s such a huge con job.
Anyway - I’ve given up on scents now pretty much. As I’ve gotten older, my body’s biochemistry seemed to have changed and most stuff just doesn’t smell good on me. Really disappointing that former favorites don’t seem to work now. They just smell wrong. And sure it’s a combo of my body getting older - and the cheap & nasty formulas they’re using in once favorite varieties.
Only one I put on once in a blue moon now is Kiehl’s Original Musk. Just a little spritz and it smells kinda earthy and spicy and lingers a little while. But have to be in the mood for it. I generally prefer myself and other men to just smell like themselves nowadays too. But it’s not a big dealbreaker if a guy smells a little like a cologne. Far better that than stale BO...

I know that men don't need to wear cologne, and it is indeed a turnoff for many, but I love to wear it. I've worn cologne every day of my life since I've been aware of what it is. I work from home, and even put it on, knowing full well that I will see no one all day. I wear it for me, because I like it when I catch the occasional scent. I use Penhaligon cologne, and am currently alternating between LP 9, Hammom Bouquet, and one more whose name escapes me. I picked it randomly from the site. Their cologne is expensive, but I've loved every one I've used.

Some advice for buying cologne. If you can afford it Check out the higher in places like Neiman Marcus, saks 5th Avenue, or Barney’s. You’ll pay 150 to 300 per bottle but you’ll end up with something unique and that uses real oils 2) even if you do shop at Macy’s or Nordstrom or Bloomingdale’s, do a scouting trip where you bring home 3 to 5 samples of the ones that you liked. Colognes take hours to “develop” so what you may enjoy fresh out of the bottle may smell disgusting to you after it has work with your skin chemistry or because it’s basenotes don’t appeal to you. 3) When you’re smiling lots of colognes it totally throws off your sense of scent. Or sometimes after a few days you just are over it. Buy the sample that you end up using up. 4) when you are ready to buy, check out eBay. People sell testers at over 50% off. I just paid $43 with shipping for a brand new cologne that would’ve costed me about $105 with tax because the box was damaged. Literally everything they sell at Macy’s for retail price can be had Less than 50% through eBay.

R51 - lol! So you were there were you?
Begone you judgey little troll! OK - we get it - you don’t like scents/colognes on men. That’s your stance - and good on you for it, stick to your guns,. Whatever....
But really - this is a thread asking about fragrances and what other men like. You getting on and constantly giving your two cents worth about how much you hate them is boring. We get it.
Why not go start a thread about how great real manstink is? Get some pheromone fanboys of your own to play with...
In the meantime - I recommend the realmenstink2 tumblr - none of the guys there would be caught dead wearing cologne - and they ts one of my favorite go-to jackoff sites - in spite of liking the occasional spritz myself!

Oils derived from plant or animal sources are just as likely (or more) to produce allergic reactions, R32. The industry increasingly bans aroma chemicals such as oak moss because of the likelihood of reaction. Most of the banned materials are naturally sourced, not cooked up in a lab.

I think some of you are taking an unnecessary detour around the issue of natural oils. There are some health issues surrounding synthetics And today many of the expensive colognes blend it real oils with synthetics but I mentioned it because cheaper colognes often have a very synthetic scent to them and it comes across as very cheap. There are often very simple too. If you want to get a sense for what synthetic smells like, smell the clowns at banana republic or Abercrombie. You might enjoy them but they are basically the cheapest shit you can imagine. There’s also a simplicity to them what you smelled the beginning is pretty close to what you smell at the end. Kind of like the sense that use in the soaps

R45, go to the Jo Malone counter and get samples or read reviews online. Most of her scents are pretty simple and the names are self explanatory. Like r21 said, they also layer well.

Yes, there are some issues with synthetics -- but there are with natural materials, as well. I just wanted to point out that the distinction between synthetic and natural materials isn't always meaningful in the way people want it to be. Cheap materials, however, whether synthetic or naturally derived, tend to smell cheap.

R8 Joop! is for the ravers & electro-boys. It’s hard for anyone else to carry off.
A more extensive primer:
Kouros is for your pissed-off, drunk, dirty uncle. Habit Rouge is for that nervy ex you have that used to be a Catholic choirboy and would never talk about it. Fahrenheit is for a boyracer or the mechanic who jacked your car. Vetiver Guerlain is your EG gardener. Lacoste Red is for your tennis instructor; Polo is for HIS tennis instructor. ck One is for that high-strung “bisexual” female friend that still works in retail.
Cool Water is pure AOR, preppies & 30-something closet-cases wear it. Czech & Speake is for a jazz aficionado grandad. Black XS is for prettyboy players. Lagerfeld Classic is for badly-ageing rockstars. de Jacomo & Black Orchid are for vintage goths. Eau Sauvage is for a blues-rock geek. Grey Flannel used to be New Wave and now it’s hip-hopper Bougie-Juice. Bal á Versailles was MJ’s favorite, and lets leave it at that. Acqua di Gio is bubblegum pop.
Rush should never leave the discothéque, Lynx/Axe Oud the gym. Rive Gauche is for hipsters & fashionistas who weren’t even alive in the ‘80s but idolise it. Comme des Garçons 3 is for wannabe punks & champagne socialists. Armani Code is the inscrutable boss you can’t figure out. Burberry Summer is the breezy chapstick acquaintance who sprints by you without seeing you as she heads to a picnic.

by Anonymous | reply 74 | April 8, 2018 9:17 PM |
Bang! by Marc Jacobs. Off the market after a very brief launch years ago (it was a failure) but I love it. It’s pure pepper in the top notes, and the base is a mellow patchouli. Not for everyone, I guess. Unfortunately it doesn’t last long.
by Anonymous | reply 75 | April 8, 2018 9:19 PM |
R74, Yes, I own an older bottle of Pour un Homme. It took me a while to appreciate it (it was a blind buy), but the primary notes are lavender, vanilla and tonka (coumarin). It dates back to 1934; it represents a sort of classic, quiet masculinity.

R74. Yes, classic old school fragrance, basically starts out as a pure astringent lavender, which morphs into a soft vanilla. Simple and nice, rather smells like Play-Do, in the mid-notes. All of Caron’s men’s line are worth smelling, all interesting.

R77, Davidoff Cool Water seems to sell rather well. There's not one but two versions of it in the top 10 of Amazon's Men's fragrances best sellers list. I wore it in my 20s but didn't finish the bottle. I gave it to my parents to freshen their bathrooms. The smell oozes out from the bottle even without spraying it. I actually like the smell to a point but it's just way too strong for me.

[QUOTE] I used to love Cool Water on a guy I dated over a decade ago. It was the best, I didn't like him so much but loved that scent. Does anyone still wear it?
Yes and for only that reason. I wear it because of the 1993 zeitgeist it gives me, and how my heart was so rapturously entranced by this guy in college and how utterly broken I was when he dumped me before the spring semester ended. It was like the pivotal scene in CMBYN, when the father tells the son to live in the emotions he was feeling. Good or bad it was life itself coursing through my heart.
Mary!!!!
ps Coolwater was reformumated a few years ago, live many fragrances. Some say it’s changed, but my nose still smells it and I go back to that spring in 93.

by Anonymous | reply 105 | April 9, 2018 11:41 AM |
I don’t know if Coolwater was considered ‘strong’ since aquatics always smell light and fresh to me. It did and still does have longevity though. It lasts the entire day, to me it seems to retain most of the same notes all day. For that reason, if you spray too much it might be overpowering for some people because the top notes are the loudest.

I know I'll get shit for this, but I still love Dolce & Gabbana Pour Homme with the navy blue cap. I'm not sure if this is even still made. Rather on the heavy side, if the right guy wore it, it really appealed to me.

R112 I was fond of the Givenchy original Gentleman too; it was rather patchouli heavy with I believe was lavender and vanilla or Tonka bean undernotes. You would probably like Crabtree & Evelyn Patchouli soap I would bet. You could probably have something custom blended to mimic it

Rasasi La Yuqawam, Prada L'Homme, Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille, Le Labo Santal 33. Also Le Labo Ylang 49 - somewhat feminine but it smells so wonderful. The Rasasi is very unique - drys down to a woody cedar. Prada L'Homme soft, powdery and comforting. Tobacco Vanille - smells so yummy - a cool weather essence. Santal 33 - ubiquitous but drys down to a nice sandalwood.

I make my own. Why wear a commercial scent, which almost always is a miss for a person. The idea of "wearing it because it's popular" is ridiculous.
Mostly I rely on three of my scents, a leather/moss (somewhat similar to Neroli Portofino Forte but my floral isn't so overdone like Ford's) , a bay-and-clove and a sage/vanilla/mint combo for day.
I'll never understand the laziness all around. Why be a stinker when you can be a person of good scents?

Patchouli = hippie piss
by Anonymous | reply 127 | April 10, 2018 1:52 AM |
Patchouli is much more than hippie piss. Depending upon the concentration and what it is blended with you might not even know it is there, but it can ground a fragrance. Patchouli is one of the most used base notes in perfumery for both men and women. It is used as much if not more than lavender.
The problem with a lot of hated fragrances is people wearing WAY TOO MUCH of it. Patchouli is antimicrobial, so hippies would use it instead of deodorant, which didn't really work. I add a few drops of patchouli and a few drops of lavender to a bottle of witch hazel and spray my pits with it before applying an alum stone, and it keeps me stink free all day. The spray doesn't work without the stone, and the stone doesn't work without the spray. There is enough of the essential oils to work without making me reek of either.
A lot of 80s fragrances were very powerful, and people would douse themselves in them so you could smell them blocks away. Drakkar Noir, Obsession, Polo, Fahrenheit were some of these. They are well constructed fragrances, that need to be applied extremely sparingly. I still wear Fahreneit and Drakkar in the summertime when feeling nostalgic, but I apply one very light spritz to the middle of my chest and that is enough. I don't depress the sprayer all the way as that would be too much.

Current colognes in rotation are Creed Royal Mayfair when it's hot and humid and Tom Ford Tuscan Leather for nights out.

R124 how do you make your own cologne? My cousin tried making her own perfume by some tricky design using crushed rose petals/rose essence & pure alcohol once, and this process failed (and took ages).
by Anonymous | reply 142 | April 10, 2018 8:48 AM |
It’s funny that someone said earlier that play-doh was the scent category they liked least after fragrances that smelled like pesticides....
Brought back memories!
My partner used to like Fahrenheit back in the early nineties - and I used to call it flyspray. It really did have a bit of a bugkiller vibe going on!
Later he switched to one of the Gaultier scents - I forget what it was called - but the bottle was a blue glass male torso and it came in what looked like a coffee can. It was nice enough - but super vanilla and reminded me of dessert. We used to refer to It as Cake...
Back in the eighties, and just out and about, had a good friend who would annoint himself with Aramis. It was sooooo strong! Remember a bunch of us collapsing with laughter at one event - we were all at a hotel for some scifi convention standing in front of a bank of lifts and were wondering where Tony was - and a lift went by on its way down to a lower level - and we could all smell Aramis! Clearly, that’s where he was...
I went through a period of loving Floris’s Lime cologne for a while - still love citrusy scents! - and it felt so fresh! - but was all top-note and volatile and gone in a few minutes - with nothing left afterwards. So it seemed a little pointless.
The guys who mentioned Jo Malone stuff - they’ve been a couple of them I thought were nice enough! - but they’re ridiculously overpriced given they’re really just slightly better than The Body Shop - and the perfume aficionados HATE her stuff! They say it’s a triumph of style over substance and reviews of individual scents mostly slam them for their unsubtlely and the weird combos of things that don’t really go together. I gather they feel she’s kind of an interloper - someone who wasn’t trained in the history, folklore amd science of scent - and just slaps some things together that seem superficially nice - in much the same way Avondoes - but with high end packaging and stores and claims of ultra high quality ingredients, etc - but you still end up with a big hit of...Avon. The reviews are pretty savage! (amd great fun to read!)

I used to love Body Shop in the 90s, back when they were at least trying to be ethical.
Their original coconut fragrance/body spray was the best, as it smelled like real coconut flesh/husk mixed with tropical banana peel & vanilla pods. The coconut scents they sell now are the ubiquitous synthetic-sweets.
by Anonymous | reply 144 | April 10, 2018 10:04 AM |

I bought a bottle of Aramis back in the early '70s. The second guy I had sex with wore it, and I wanted to smell like him. I came home from college that summer, and my father wouldn't let me in the house if I wore it. It was "take a shower and throw it out or go back to school today." Next time I smelled it on someone, I got what he was talking about. How could I ever have wanted to smell like that?

Aramis and Estée Lauder have several corresponding male–female scents that smell more or less the same:

Terre d'Hermes. Expensive, but worth it. Very strong. Claims to "last all day," which is true. More like, it lasts for twenty-four hours or longer. I received many compliments at work when I started to wear it. I'd ask people, "Is it too strong?" and they'd invariably reply, "No, just right."
by Anonymous | reply 184 | April 11, 2018 5:14 PM |
I think Terre smells great on other people, so I got a sample from a fragrance counter salesperson. Way back before I was an Eldergay (I am now nearly 40) I used to wear Drakkar Noir. Just a very light spray on my chest and on my wrists before getting dressed.
People would compliment me, very sincerely, and ask me all the time what cologne I was wearing... and when I’d tell them it was Drakkar they always would say, “ha ha ha ha ha that’s hilarious, no really be serious, what scent is that?”
I don’t even know now where it’s sold. I know it’s got a trashy rep as a nightclub stench, but now and then I consider looking for another bottle and seeing if it would still “happen” on me.
For a time I wore Terre d’Hermes but it got way too ubiquitous and I dropped it.

by Anonymous | reply 208 | April 12, 2018 5:26 AM |
R208 You are sadly a tasteless troll, figuratively and literally. Studies have pointed up the link between scent and taste... LITERALLY. Those who appreciate complex fragrances and can identify the notes (ingredients) also appreciate their foods more, and therefore can identify spices and herbs more than than the group that cannot smell or appreciate. Taste may well be more than 65% scent. Sorry, but it smells like you are on the losing team.

Synthetic fragrances that you spray on your body are quite different from natural scents from food and cooking food. Let's see some links to these "studies".. In the meantime, put that gin down and go to bed... LITERALLY...

I wear scents (rarely, now), and I'm very careful not to apply too much. I really don't like to smell it every second of the day: just enough that I occasionally catch a pleasant whiff. When I still worked in the office, I had female co-workers who would grab me and pull me close to sniff my chest, when they really liked a scent. I know it's considered sexual harassment, but it never bothered me. "I never did mind the little things". I love Caron's Tabac Blond, and (in the winter) Nuit de Noel. I also love Chanel's Egoiste. The original introduction of Egoiste to the US was a flop, despite its very memorable ad campaign. The original Egoiste is a woody oriental, while Platinum Egoiste is a fougere. Platinum Egoiste was introduced to the US to try to offset the failure of the original Egoiste. I bought a bottle of Platinum Egoiste, and found it unwearable. Strangely, my ex-BF wears it beautifully. I had to track down the original Egoiste, and it's one of my favorite scents: apparently it's easily available in the UK, but not in the US.

I used to wear patchouli in the early 90s, I didn’t know better. People at work would say “my eyes are burning” finally I got the hint. I was only around 22 and didn’t realize it would bother other people. I even used to put a dab of it under my nutsack before going out.

As long as you wash too, I wouldn't kick you out of bed or the office R219

For whatever reason, I never liked to wear cologne except during those bizarre middle school/high school years of Polo Sport (not bad) and Calvin Klein Eternity (terrible....). Whatever the case, I buy a bottle every few years just to spray on bed linens/shower curtains before hosting a cocktail party. Clearly I am not taking advantage of the body chemistry/heating element of the scent that is intended. I just like the way that it leaves the room smelling nice for a couple of hours. Juicy Couture Dirty English is the one that I usually purchase; it works for the intended purpose.

OP, check out Dolce and Gabbana The One. It might be up your alley if you like the vibe of Obsession.
I wear Terre d’Hermes, greylocke (made by a small perfume shop in Austin called Phlur, check them online, they aren’t in stores), Bath and Body Works Suede, a couple David Beckham fragrances and (my guilty pleasure) Jovan musk.
Also, dear posters who hate cologne. That’s fine, go back to your Instaho posts.

R211, I do know all about the correlation between smell and taste.. What we're talking about here is cologne and all the other nasty shit people are spraying on their bodies. We are not talking about food or drink here, we are talking about spraying synthetic, fake fragrance on our bodies to make ourselves feel better about ourselves by believing that people will sniff us and be impressed... Pay attention, this is NOT about food... This is why I said put down the gin and go to bed....get some help

Estée Lauder Private Collection (vintage) is another fresh, green, completely unisex chypre. Like Irish Spring soap with a floral/herbal kick.

What are considered strategic points on your body to dab cologne to give the perfect smell (others can smell it but it's not over-powering).
by Anonymous | reply 229 | April 15, 2018 6:41 PM |
I try to only be a 2-3 squirt fan if heavy or complex R229 chest, throat, nape of neck. If lighter citrus or green, wrists and back too, depends on how quickly I'm leaving my home, and how quickly the scent fades.
by Anonymous | reply 230 | April 15, 2018 8:22 PM |
Not sure where’s best for a man, R229.
On a female it’s behind the ears (or at the nape), the décolletage, and the inside of the elbows & wrists. For a very strong application (say, for an evening event) a woman could add a swipe to the hollows of the collar and perhaps spritz the hair or the forearms where scent lingers on hairtips.

Jolie Madame by Balmain, despite the frilly-sounding name, is extremely masculine. It's been compared frequently to Grey Flannel.

The Vermont Country Store sells a few old timey brands, are any of these decent? 4711, Royall, Jade East, St. John's Bay Rum, Grey Flannel, Lime Sec, Orange Blossom and Clubman.

On a trip to Memphis in the 80s, I bought this cologne in a mall. I'm not really sure of the name but I believe it was Monsieur Houbigant, or it was made by them. I don't remember, but it smelt so good. But now I can't find it or anything about it. Maybe someone knows what I'm talking about. I'm pretty sure it's not made anymore, but one can always hope. Also, when I was a teen I was in a bus station. I'm sure you know what for, but this extremely attractive man comes in and goes to the urinal. So I just sit there and look at him and he finally turns around and ask me how I'm doing all the while playing with his very big cut dick. He comes over and I play with it and start sucking him. He smells so good! After he left, i had to find that cologne. Eventually I find it and it was Brut. My brother wears Brut, so that ruined it for me but cologne smells different on everybody and his definitely did.

I mostly wear citrus and/or herbal scents like eau d'Hadrien, Guerlain Imperiale, Acqua di Parma Colonia, and Sisley eau de Campagne because they don't project too much. I like a lot of other classic Guerlain fragrances such as Vetiver, Habit Rouge, Heritage and Jicky, but I apply them sparingly if I am going to be around others. My all-time most hated fragrance is Angel. Vile stuff.

R233, I like a lot of the Royall scents.

I’m looking for a perfume oil for my highschooler niece as a birthday gift. Recs?
She’s sort of a bohemian teen with a slightly pinky/industrial streak. She likes aromatic/fresh/herbaceous and vanilla-oriental scents the best, probably more on the darker or alternative side given her fashion sense and general taste. She has lived in different Euro cities and is quite mature & serious for her age but also gregarious. She has a tomboyish side under a seemingly stoic & ‘cool girl’ exterior. She wants to work in fringe theater, likes gory movies. She likes piercings and motorbikes. She’s opposite to a typical IG girl, basically.

R240 since I learned that serial wife/son-beater and possible homophobe Tommy Lee liked & used Kai in his youth, I’ve been turned off to it. It is a pretty scent, though.

R229, I generally apply scent to my wrists: depending on the strength of the scent, I may only apply to one wrist. The reason I do that is because sometimes, the scent I choose for the day is annoying me by the end of the day, and it's easy enough to just wash one's wrists.
R233, of the scents who listed, I like 4711, St John's Bay Rum, and the Royall scents. Clubman is very much a barbership-type scent (as is Bay Rum). I used to like Grey Flannel, until I had a drunken one-night stand with a guy who marinated in it.
R234, the best known men's scent from Houbigant is Duc de Vervins, which I used to own. Houbigant was the personal perfumer for Napoleon and Josephine.
R235, that's funny: it's almost like were 'scent twins'. I own and love the same scents.

TL by Ted Lapidus (rip). I caught the scent on a very handsome blond waiter at a cafe in Paris a few years back. I thought it was similar to Jacomo di Jacomo. It really wasn’t, but it does remind me of that handsome young waiter. There’s not much left, it should all be gone by the end of summer. My favorites are still Jacomo di Jacomo, Oscar de la Renta, Kouros.

I used to love White Linen -- like fresh soap and water scent. Hard to find and reminds me of Ex.
Philosophy scents. Pure Grace is also soap and water clean, but often not noticeable enough, Amazing Grace is very nice but slightly floral. I also like Nikki de Saint Phalle, but I don't think anyone really notices it. ??

Patchouli or Nag Champa oil

24 Faubourg Hermès. It is lovely and is the scent Princess Diana wore. It's quite floral and is supposed to be ladylike but reads rather unisex, actually slightly butch on me. I also have an attar oil from Al rehab called Shaikhah that is similar to 24, the two layered together are quite intoxicating! Amazing.
I want to try Tabac Blond it is rare and expensive. I do love combinations of floral, rose, oud and animal/musk and like to layer scents I wear to make them more original.
I also like Cabotine, it's cheap and is supposed to be girly, but on me it smells impressively expensive and actually masculine. Layered with a little Neroli Portofino and it's a perfect spring-time scent.

I wore Claiborne for Men in high school, R250. I heard through the high school grapevine that a popular girl thought I was cute and I thought she would be the perfect prom beard. I knew she liked Liz Claiborne for Men and Preferred Stock, so I doused accordingly, all year.
We became friends, but I never got the courage to ask her to prom and she went with someone cuter, cooler, and more popular. Actually, she went with the guy that I had a big crush on. Meanwhile, I embarrassed myself and my date by voguing like I was on Gay Soul Train. I'm so glad there weren't phone cameras around to capture it.
Eternity, Aspen, Cool Water, Lagerfeld Photo and Joop were the smells of Details and Esquire, 1990.
I read about a woman who, at the end of each year, would set aside the remainder of that year's chosen scent and change to her new fragrance. She said could go to her collection of past fragrances and evoke memories and moods from any year.
