That's sad. Is his fat ol' cock going with him?
by Anonymous | reply 1 | April 3, 2018 10:33 PM |
I don't drink, but I'm checking myself into rehab too. Maybe we can be roommates.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | April 3, 2018 10:35 PM |

Everyone knows about you Colin. You are going to cockgobble and pump holes in there. R2 will be your sperm spigot and enjoy it endlessly.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | April 3, 2018 10:37 PM |

by Anonymous | reply 6 | April 3, 2018 10:40 PM |

by Anonymous | reply 8 | April 3, 2018 10:45 PM |
Why doesn't he do this in Ireland? Dont they have dry out bins there?
by Anonymous | reply 9 | April 3, 2018 11:08 PM |
He's looked rough lately, really tired. Good on him for getting ahead of it before it got worse.
r9 he lives full time in LA why would he fly to Ireland to dry out? That's like sending a meat eater to the Outback to learn how to be a vegetarian.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | April 3, 2018 11:09 PM |
But doesn't he have kids? And I though he was raising them in Ireland?
by Anonymous | reply 11 | April 3, 2018 11:15 PM |
His kids live in LA. Always have.

by Anonymous | reply 17 | April 4, 2018 12:08 AM |
It's Colin FARRELL.
Recent photo. The hair - looks like he got struck by lightning.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | April 4, 2018 12:09 AM |
He porks up or gets scruffy for acting parts but in every day he’s still looking good. I hate the glasses he wears but whatever not my business.
Not to mention it turns out he can act. He’s done some really good stuff the last few years.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | April 4, 2018 12:16 AM |
R18 still using. Pictures speak volumes!
by Anonymous | reply 20 | April 4, 2018 12:27 AM |
Sat next to him in a bar last week, he looked handsome.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | April 4, 2018 12:29 AM |
He doesn’t look sloppy fat in R18. He would look quite fine with a little grooming.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | April 4, 2018 12:36 AM |
I used to think he was such a macho shithead when he was 1st making headlines for swearing, shagging, swallowing and snorting whatever, back when they irst tried to launch him as a star
But more I've learned and read about him over the years ( including the support of his gay brother), it seems he's basically a good guy
Since I heard about the reason he got his way into the business, the joel schumacher and kevin spacey stuff ( thanks DL). I wonder if he was slutting it with the women , feeling he had to overcompensate for the icky stuff he had to do or had done with them. And drinking and drugging were a way to try and forget too.
When Sam Worthington was being pushed around the time of Avatar, I remember seeing an interview and he had the same thing of being over MACHO in the interview. Once I got over the instant response of god hes an massive tool. It kept bugging me of how similar he seemed to be to Colin Ferell in his early interviews. It made me cut him some slack
As maybe he had to do some embarrasing and debasing things to "suddenly" come from nowhere and get Avatar and Clash of the Titans. But I've only heard Cameron was into being verbually abusive with people
by Anonymous | reply 23 | April 4, 2018 12:46 AM |
He just checked in to the facility I work at! I will pull it out when he is asleep and post pictures from my iPhone!!!!!!!!!
by Anonymous | reply 24 | April 4, 2018 12:48 AM |
Don't do that r24, you ass. I hope you're joking.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | April 4, 2018 12:50 AM |
Definite way to lose your job, R24.
But you were just trying to have people react, were you ?
The people who work there are professionals.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | April 4, 2018 1:02 AM |
I thought The Meadows was exclusively for sex addiction.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | April 4, 2018 1:05 AM |
Good for him. I hope it goes well. He's still one of my faves. [italic]The Lobster[/italic] was weird, but I loved him in it. And I second the love for [italic]In Bruges[/italic].

to quote our own www.goop.com: drunk then, drunk now. It is always the way.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | April 4, 2018 1:11 AM |
Same initial reaction as R23, then saw him in movies and I've loved him since. He's a really good actor and seems like a good guy. Also handsome as fuck.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | April 4, 2018 1:13 AM |
Does he never smoke pot any more? Or was he worried about hard drugs?
by Anonymous | reply 31 | April 4, 2018 1:13 AM |
You lucky thing r21. Was he drinking? Because if he was I guess it’s the alcohol not the drugs he’s back in rehab for.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | April 4, 2018 1:17 AM |
Good for him. Going back to rehab to keep from slipping and to shore up one's program is not unusual amongst committed people in recovery He'll have a marvelous vacation.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | April 4, 2018 1:20 AM |
r33 drank the Kool Aid
by Anonymous | reply 34 | April 4, 2018 1:23 AM |
I saw him at a Rite Aid in Hollywood last year. He was carrying his toddler to the pharmacy at the back of the store. He was holding him really strangely, like by the waist all slumped over. Strange. Sexy looking but looked like he reeked of cigarettes.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | April 4, 2018 1:27 AM |
He doesn’t have a toddler, but one of his kids is special needs r35
by Anonymous | reply 36 | April 4, 2018 1:37 AM |

Is Harvey still at the Meadows lol? Stay away from our Col, perv.
But again as asked - is the Meadows mostly for sex addiction? or other tendencies. I know it specializes in sex issues.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | April 4, 2018 2:14 AM |
Straight porn never does much for me but I love watching him eat pussy in that sex tape of his -- he just seems to enjoy it so much I can't help but appreciate his enthusiasm

No, then he's pulling out the "Miami Vice" retool for your enjoyment, R42. You'll have to soak in scotch whiskey if you want him all over your body.

Nobody that’s sober goes to rehab to “get ahead of it.”
He’s obviously been off the wagon for a while now.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | April 4, 2018 3:33 AM |
They would if they felt themselves slipping r46. Someone like Farrell can't afford to have a full-on relapse. His career would take a big hit and he needs to work. He worked a lot last year so couldn't have been too off the wagon.

by Anonymous | reply 52 | April 4, 2018 5:53 AM |

by Anonymous | reply 53 | April 4, 2018 6:13 AM |
He looks rough for only 42. Still a gorgeous man. 5 months sober here myself, if he can't stay sober after 12 years, is there any hope for us regular drunks?
by Anonymous | reply 54 | April 4, 2018 6:41 AM |
There is r54. There are millions of perks of being a movie star, the downside however is that there’s someone willing to drag them down into old habits every single place they go. Every vice can be catered to for free, any time of the day or night, with everyone around them willing to cover and lie for them. Regular people don’t have that. If you show up drunk to work you’re fired, if he does his manager/agent/life coach/yoga instructor/dog groomer make excuses for him. If he can do 12 years sober, despite all that, you certainly can do it and then some
by Anonymous | reply 55 | April 4, 2018 7:48 AM |
I don't have a life so I cyberstalk Colin Farrell. I need a hobby and he's handsome. Don't judge me.
Anyhoo, I am unsurprised and have been expecting this for a while. In recent interviews some of his answers have been rambling and almost incoherent and it seemed like the light in him had dimmed. He seemed miserable for a while to be honest. The official statement says he isn't drinking and he's always careful to say he's sober (no alcohol), rather than clean and sober (no drugs and no alcohol) so I believe he does abstain from alcohol but perhaps drugs are another story. Addiction is complicated.
There's a couple of fan photos of him from the last couple of days and he has a completely shaved head. My guess is he's having some sort of nervous breakdown and if so, he's where he should be and I wish him the best and a full recovery.
by Anonymous | reply 56 | April 4, 2018 8:17 AM |
Why do they all shave their heads when they lose their shit?
by Anonymous | reply 57 | April 4, 2018 8:22 AM |
queens are so greedy hungry for his asshole they will be hiding in the loo to suk him out....
by Anonymous | reply 58 | April 4, 2018 10:01 AM |
I like him too r56. I think he’s repositioning himself as a really good character actor which is smart at his age. I don’t think the rambling interviews are anything to go by though. He’s always talked in incoherent new age speak. For an Irish guy, he’s very LA. He seems nice but I gave up on listening to his interviews long ago. They’re actually a little boring because he blathers on and on.
He did give up both the booze and drugs for a while. He was doing seriously heavy drugs for quite some time. So hopefully he can get back on whatever wagon he’s fallen off.
by Anonymous | reply 59 | April 4, 2018 10:42 AM |
I think the head shaving thing is probably a result of impaired decision making, which can happen if you are extremely stressed and burnt out. It seems like a good idea at the time...

Of course, we could be wrong on thinking he's gone into rehab because of the drink or drugs.
You can go into rehab for sex addiction. Maybe fallen off the wagon and is back trying to poke it into old age pensioners

by Anonymous | reply 70 | April 4, 2018 3:45 PM |
He used to be sexy, now I wouldn't touch him with yours.
by Anonymous | reply 71 | April 4, 2018 3:58 PM |
You too r56? It's a good hobby lol. Agree he's seemed unhappy for a while. Has looked rough the past months, unshaven, hair amuss, shabby and torn clothes. Had thought: shades of Ben Affleck - and lo and behold off to rehab he goes. The shaved head was definitely a sign something was up. I'm guessing Rx pills, not booze for him.
Agree with r59 he's always a charming rambling mess in interviews so didn't notice much there. He hasn't worked in months so wondered what precipitated this. Usually something triggers this kind of rehab move. He's got a growing profile at Disney, they like him there and he won't remain bankable if there are even whispers. Good for him for taking care of it now.
by Anonymous | reply 72 | April 4, 2018 5:20 PM |
To answer R39, The Meadows treats many addictions not just sex addiction. They also treat substance abuse. But they are known for the sex addiction program.
by Anonymous | reply 73 | April 4, 2018 5:53 PM |
Agree is the pills, they are everywhere. Like candy in LA. He's too old for coke molly or other party drugs. Isn't he over 40? There hasn't been mention of him in the gossip rags in ages, haven't heard anything about him out clubbing, dating models or the like (ahem Leo). For someone who used to be a main gossip fixture in the past that's a feat.
by Anonymous | reply 74 | April 4, 2018 6:58 PM |
I'm a later fan. Didn't care for him in his younger days. I didn't like the persona, so I didn't bother to see the films. I remember noticing he was in Minority Report and he was good.
Then, years later, I rented In Bruges and thought he was awesome in a role obviously well-chosen for him. Since then, I thought he chose his films intelligently. I've been only more and more impressed.
Last year, I went to see Fantastic Beast out of curiosity. I was not even aware he was in it. I was surprised he was the actor leaving the strongest impression. The movie is uneven, to say the least, but he really burned the screen.
Anyway, I hope he gets rid of his addiction and lives a long gratifying life.
I notice that he seems to have a very protective team around him. The way it is announced in the medias shows that he is not thrown to the wolves. Good for him. He seems like a good guy.
by Anonymous | reply 75 | April 4, 2018 8:55 PM |
He did a very funny guest appearance on "Scrubs." Played off of his image at the time. Helped make me a fan.
by Anonymous | reply 76 | April 4, 2018 9:05 PM |
I saw him in the East Village in his prime. He was with a beautiful blonde with killer legs. He was buying her a bodega bouquet. It was beyond sweet. Leave the lad alone. He managed to rise above the shite that was The Beguiled and gave a moving performance.

by Anonymous | reply 88 | April 5, 2018 6:56 AM |

About the head shaving - I read an article with him in which he admitted suffering from trichatillomania (compulsive hair pulling, I have it too) and that shaving his head for Miami Vice cured him so maybe the condition came back and he shaved his head to help curb the urges.

He allegedly never relapsed. He wanted to use again, and circumvented that urge by going back in rehab.
I know a woman who has 24 years sober and did this. She checked in completely sober into a rehab when she had ten years of sobriety, and stayed for 60 days. She was able to stay sober, and work on her codependency issues.
I wish I had known that was an option before I relapsed. Addicts’ brains work very differently than non addicts, in that many of find the solution in going back to what almost killed us. Obviously the WORST option available, but it happens all the time with people who have long term sobriety.
Getting a reset is obviously a much better option, though pricey.
Addicts need consistent therapy long term. Getting and staying sober isn’t always enough, and 12 Step programs, such as AA just aren’t always a fit for everyone.
Regardless, good for him for getting help before he goes off the rails. He’s a better actor than most, and being gorgeous never hurt anyone.
by Anonymous | reply 120 | April 13, 2018 10:47 PM |
I really thought he must have relapsed and was just saying he hadn’t to avoid issues with being insured in future films r120. However I don’t have experience with addiction and you make a valid argument that he went back in to remind himself why he got sober in the first place. I had no idea people did that. I guess if you have money and time, it’s a great option.
by Anonymous | reply 121 | April 13, 2018 11:27 PM |
He's away for a month. He has two school age kids, and has great available outpatient (or even inpatient) treatment in the LA area, but instead flew 100s of miles away for an entire month to rehab because he was only "thinking" about using again? That's ridiculous. He was already beginning to use.
His pr team has to put out the story he hadn't relapsed for damage control. They're not going to say he fell off the wagon; they almost never do that with celebs. The studios and suits want clean hires. Or at least the public appearance of them.
In Farrell's case, I personally don't believe he was very deep into relapse, was probably fighting the urges for some time and beginning to lose control, so he made a quick decision to check in. He'd just announced headlining a fundraiser for his kid's school next week, only days before he flew out of town. Can't see him doing this if he was planning to be away for a month.
There were also social media photos of him with a fully shaved head days before. He was also sighted pacing round street corners late at night in WeHo by himself, chain smoking and rambling into his cell, the weekend he left. Not great signs.
by Anonymous | reply 122 | April 13, 2018 11:38 PM |

by Anonymous | reply 123 | April 14, 2018 12:21 AM |
Met him once. Intense but decent. Hollywood life seems so contradictory....they don't eat unhealthily or drink much, but they do all the drugs in the world.
by Anonymous | reply 124 | April 14, 2018 12:51 AM |
R121, it is a great option. But unless you are suicidal or completely off the wagon once again, Insurance will not cover your stay. The woman I am referring to is married to a famous musician who has plenty of money to pay out of pocket, or perhaps she was suicidal, and it’s something I’m not aware of because she has never said this to me.
R122, after reading your comment, I unfortunately tend to agree. Running around WeHo late at night on my cell phone was pretty standard behavior for me when I relapsed. And it wasn’t because I didn’t have a nice home to go back to, but because I was drunk and/or high as fuck and couldn’t sit still in my own home. Fortunately, I made it back, got in a good rehab facility, and have stayed sober since.
Man, addiction sucks. Long term sobriety usually brings about a better life. A really good and useful, productive life, filled with family, friends, and loved ones. Great career opportunities, etc. We forget, we become bored, we become complacent, and the nature of addiction looms in the back of our heads, telling us we can handle it now.
I will never ever be able to drink a glass of wine, or smoke a joint, without eventually destroying myself. It happens over and over again to us addicts.
This is why I will probably remain in therapy for the rest of my life. There’s just too much at risk if I drink, and AA alone is not enough for me. The therapy and antidepressants on a regular basis have made a huge difference, and one that I hadn’t experienced before because I never believed I needed antidepressants, or regular therapy.
I wish all of you struggling with this the very best. Please take care of yourselves.
R123, I believe his first son is the only one who has a condition. Not sure what. I don’t currently remember. I thought it was Autism.
Fun fact: the mother of Colin’s first son is the former partner, now ex of my former partner, now ex.
Small world.

Farrell’s eldest son has Angelman Syndrome, which is fairly rare condition. Intellectual and physical delays are part of the condition. CF said in an interview that his son didn’t walk until he was 4 and didn’t speak until he was 6. Something like that anyway, but very delayed either way. His other son is fine.

R114, define "British."
by Anonymous | reply 130 | April 23, 2018 3:05 AM |
Every thread Irish ppl aren't British. Mc is Irish. It means son of.
Anglo isn't Irish.
"she/He doesn't look blah, blah.
Humans don't reproduce by cloning. We exchange genetic material.
Every thread same racist shit.
If you guys don't know the movie "Intermission", it's worth seeing. Cillian Murphy's also in it.

Cut him some slack. He was born in a sack of hate.

Mac or Mc is also very common in Scotland r131. Everyone knows it means “son of”

He used to needlessly get so much shit for being a talentless actor - I am really glad opinion on him has shifted so significantly because I've thought he was incredibly talented right out of the gate with Tigerland. His work with Yorgos Lanthimos has been really interesting, I hope they keep working together.

He's out of rehab now. He attended a fund raising event in Ireland last week. I stated earlier in the thread that I was a very recent fan. I'm kind of redescovering him. But damn, it's difficult not to like that man. He seems genuine and decent.
His hair is growing back and he looks like a 42 from another generation. But he looks healthy.
On a very superficial note, I hope he gets great roles.

He’s been getting great roles the last few years r136. He’s really turning into a great character actor. Unlike Tom Cruise who can’t let go of the leading man roles despite being 164 years old, Farrell seems to be happy to go for the Indy movies with smaller audiences but better more complex characters.

Oh, I agree, R137. Just wishing him continued success. But I felt a bit superficial after reading the fund-raising article.

Does he need booze/drugs to cope with the pain of being molested by Kevin Spacey?
by Anonymous | reply 139 | May 13, 2018 2:31 AM |
Well, he is out of rehab, but can't anything nice happen to this man ?
Come on, now Colin, you can do a lot better than a derivative B war movies with pariah Mel Gibson. I know you need to earn money, but you have more potential than that ! Won't anybody else hire him ? Show him a worthy screenplay ?
by Anonymous | reply 140 | August 1, 2018 10:53 PM |
Either needs the paycheck or is uninsurable after rehab. Gibson has a history of assisting recently rehabbed washups (see: RDJ). The director Merkola is a total hack so I can't see either actor doing this for creative significance.
Strange that Farrell would sign onto this.
by Anonymous | reply 141 | August 1, 2018 11:31 PM |
I don't know, R141. There seemed to be good will towards him. I doubt he is uninsurable or blacklisted.
Yet it seems like something one would do for the money, or if they don't have better options. There is nothing remotely prestigious about this. Maybe the working hours are better and he can give more time to his kids or something ?
Or maybe he just doesn't choose wisely.

Hopefully there will be lots of homoerotic military stuff like Tigerland at least
by Anonymous | reply 143 | August 2, 2018 6:02 AM |
I think it's a good project: after successes with Hacksaw Ridge and Daddy's Home 2 Mel Gibson doesn't have to take any gig just for a paycheck. Also, Farrell has steadily worked and has been in some great films, not counting the upcoming ones like Dumbo and Widows directed by Steve McQueen (12 Years a Slave).
His career is fine. It sends its love.

[quote]Addicts need consistent therapy long term. Getting and staying sober isn’t always enough, and 12 Step programs, such as AA just aren’t always a fit for everyone.
Good luck finding a rehab that isn't all about the 12 steps.
by Anonymous | reply 145 | August 2, 2018 7:25 AM |
Yes, R144, that is all true, but I still agree with the journalist in that link, stating it sounds derivative. Plus the director looks like he belongs in a Z series. You wonder what CF is doing there.
Best of luck, though.
