I actually agree with her. Generally speaking, the European films I see can include plenty of nudity, but it's not filmed in a particularly suggestive way. Most of the time, with American films, they're definitely focused on highlighting the actors bodies, so that there are obvious key lights emphasizing breasts and butts (but not dicks, of course). Then again, I'm sure their are sexually exploitative European films that are never shown in the US.

Something that always comes to my mind when discussing filmed nudity in America is NYPD Blue. They went out of their way to show all their actors asses. It got to the point that it was just hilarious. The camera would literally be shooting a conversation by moving the camera back and forth between the faces of the two people talking then, suddenly, one of them would be getting in the shower and the camera would literally pan down, focus on the ass for about ten seconds, and then go right back to filming like normal. So stupid.

I think that's the difference she's talking about between America and Europe. In Europe they actually have casual nudity on their regular tv shows, not glorified ass shots for the shock factor.
