The girl is the girl mom always wanted him to marry. He had a partner, but...dead. The girl is the only one he tells. He leaves a tape for his little brother, telling him to be strong and to be himself. These are broad stroaks, but it's a very touching, well done movie. I cried.

Bias: I also had an older brother who died (in a crash, not AIDS) and the last time my family was all together was Christmas. So...you can say I related.
