He looks great in photos. He does NOT look nearly so good in person--I see him and Dan Savage frequently around Portland, OR from time to time, at movies and at gay bars and the like. He's shorter than you'd think, and he wears incredibly awful clothing (often from Mr. Turk, the tacky gay clothing line he models for, which has hideous loud prints and designs).

By contrast, Dan always wears very sexy understated clothes--jeans, workboots, a tight t-shirt, sometimes an inexpensive hipster sweater (very Portland, but it looks sexy on him because he's muscular). He's not tall either, but he always looks attractive, whereas Terry looks like he just got off the bus from Boise and is trying to garner attention with ugly flashy clothes.

More Mr. Turk fashions of the kind Terry wears... I think they're supposed to be witty and ironic, but they're really just plain hideous.
