A good friend of mine has epilepsy and he lost his license for six months until an efficient combo of meds were found and proven to control his seizures. Also, I've seen people just after they've had a seizure, none of them have just sat up and texted within a few moments; they're all dazed and in a sort of stupor, and also very weak. They certainly weren't fucking texting right away.

That's not just NYC; I live in a rural area outside of DC and I know someone killed by someone driving the wrong way in the middle of the afternoon on a clear day (sort of an Aunt Diane kind of thing). No less than 4 cars swerved before the driver finally hit this woman head on & killer her. That driver wasn't charged either.

These cases baffle me because if you lose control of your car in icy or rainy conditions and hit someone, you get cited for failure to control. How can you KILL someone & get charged with nothing? Any knowledgeable sources have any insight on this?

I wonder if the moms will blame each other. Who invited who out to brunch that day? Will that person get the blame? Will their friendship endure this?

When I am anyplace that a car could get me -- be it crossing the street, walking down the sidewalk, in a parking lot or garage -- my head is on a swivel looking around for potential danger. When I cross a street or driveway, I ensure I have each driver's eye contact before I go in front of their vehicle. And yes, some of them get pissed off because I wait for them to actually stop before crossing in front of them, even though they'd prefer a "rolling stop", but I don't give a fuck, I'm not risking it!
