Why is the UK criminal justice system so lenient with these monsters? In fact, the EU Human Rights Court said that Venables should've gotten an even lesser sentence.
Jon Venables and Maxine Carr

Sometimes I wonder if the justices aren't in fact sociopaths themselves.

Jon Venables was 10 years old when convicted of murder. The sentence he received was adequate for his age at the time it was committed.
Maxine Carr had no involvement with the murders and merely provided an alibi for her boyfriend, whom she believed to be innocent (which the court accepted was true). The sentence she received as also adequate for the crime committed.

R2 Venables was re-arrested in November 2017 for child pornography yet again.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | March 3, 2018 2:41 AM |
OP you do know that Maxine Carr knew nothing about the murders, yes? What exactly do you think is so monstrous?
by Anonymous | reply 4 | March 3, 2018 2:43 AM |
R3 Which he was tried and sentenced for. All life prisoners are on lifelong licence, so when the child pornography sentence is complete, the parole board will then decide whether he should serve extra time for violating the licence for the original murder.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | March 3, 2018 2:48 AM |
The UK has more "human rights lawyers" per capita than anywhere else on earth. That might explain the lenient sentences.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | March 3, 2018 2:49 AM |
R4 Why provide a false alibi then?
by Anonymous | reply 7 | March 3, 2018 2:49 AM |
She believed him when he said he had nothing to do with it but couldn’t prove where he was. Is that really monstrous? I would have thought the guy who actually killed two little girls was monstrous.

Murderer Ian Huntley wants to change gender so he can live in a women's prison

R9 He'll probably get his request too.

Mary Bell and her daughter have lifelong anonymity too. Taxpayers funded a safe house for Maxine Carr. Do they continue to?
by Anonymous | reply 11 | March 3, 2018 2:57 PM |
R11 Mary Bell was repeatedly sexually abused by multiple men starting from when she was a toddler, and her mother tried to kill her on at least two known occasions. In spite of her crimes, also committed as a child, she's one of the few that deserves a second chance - and she hasn't been in trouble since.

Canada is even worse. Police paid a child killer, Clifford Olson $30,000 to help them find his victims' bodies.

R12 Fair enough
by Anonymous | reply 14 | March 3, 2018 3:05 PM |
Can anyone remind me again who Maxine Carr killed? Kicked? Punched? Poisoned? Maybe pushed a little? No one? No? But she’s a monster...
by Anonymous | reply 15 | March 3, 2018 3:44 PM |
Shirley Tirner is another one. The Justice involved even wrote to her about how to appeal his sentence.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | March 3, 2018 5:40 PM |
R15 Why does she need 24/7 protection and a new identity then?
by Anonymous | reply 17 | March 3, 2018 5:41 PM |
Because of cretins like you r17.

Will Bruce McArthur get 10 years in Canadian prison? Such a harsh sentence.

Here is a current picture of that murdering piece of shit Jon Venables
by Anonymous | reply 20 | March 11, 2018 4:56 PM |
What do you want us to do with this information, R20?
by Anonymous | reply 21 | March 11, 2018 5:42 PM |
I wasn't familiar with the Ian Huntley case but according to Wiki, he was angry over something to do with his relationship with Carr, saw the two random girls walking by his house and killed them as a way to vent his anger.
Something (kind of) similar happened in my area a few years back. A guy was feeling angry for some reason (can't remember if it was over something in his professional or personal life), and then out of rage strangled a complete stranger—a female jogger who was resting on a bench—to death. The guy was a very normal-looking, middle-aged professional type with no extensive criminal history, and the place where the murder occurred was a park that I had been multiple times to walk my dog.
Not to get all Mary, but that case really did make me feel sorry for anyone who happened to be born female.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | March 11, 2018 9:23 PM |
Maxine Carr is not a monster. She was exceptionally stupid to provide Huntley with a false alibi, and she deserved the sentence she got, but there's nothing to indicate she was aware that he was the murderer.
I think Jon Venables should lose his anonymity at this point, but I very much doubt it will happen. AFAIK, a Mary Bell order gives the recipient anonymity for life without exception.

R23 Why do they still continue to coddle Venables? Fear of admitting failure at rehabilitation?
by Anonymous | reply 25 | March 11, 2018 10:04 PM |
The Canadian justice system is even more fuxked up. Their sex offender registry isn't even publicly available

British judges love rapists and murderers. Especially child rapists. They hate to put them in jail for very long. The only reason these two stayed in jail as long as they did is because the case was known all over the world and there was video of them leading the baby away.
The only reason Venables even went to jail a second time is because the public found out he broke the law again and had been breaking the law but the authorities had just been covering it up (as well as aiding and abetting it). Had the public not found out he would have been let off AGAIN

It's not as if men don't get stabbed and shot, even strangled, every day of the week. No one is immune to violence.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | March 11, 2018 11:47 PM |
R28 if the jogger sitting there minding her own business was not female, do you seriously think that she still would've gotten randomly murdered? The whackjob saw a woman sitting by herself and knew he had an easy target.

These psycho types can kill anyone if they catch them unawares and are full of rage.
