Oh stop it. Like Elton needs another dime. Same with Anderson Cooper. He's not in his mother's will. She's giving that money to charity & Anderson's already rich.

Of course he doesn't need the money [R1] but if the article is correct Elton is taking it as a snub emotionally especially as one of the beneficiaries is someone he'd fallen out with.

Maybe it is a snub, maybe his mom decided to leave her money to someone who needs it more than the incredibly rich Elton John.

Well, the old bat shares her taste in furniture with my old bat of a mother. It's almost creepy that everything in her living room/parlor is just what my mom has: Chippendale sofa, butler's tray table(as coffee table) slipper chairs, and dreadful heavy window treatments with huge swags.

It's probably something which just goes along with being 90.

I remember reading an interview back in the 80s when I was a kid and a huge Elton fan, where Elton said he'd been estranged off and on from both his mom and grandmother. He even told a story about how in the 1970s he pitched some kind of fit at his house in front of his family, saying he might as well kill himself because he didn't get a Fudgsicle or something. Then he threw himself into his pool and pretended to drown.

His mom and grandmother just got up and left.

I figured if that's HIS side of the story, then the truth must have been a whole lot worse.

I haven't heard any comments from Elton but it's entirely possible he told her to take him out of the will as far as money is concerned. It's not like her little pittance would have done him any good.

He probably hated those urns, likely regifted them to her, but they certainly aren't cheap.

I'm sure she lived a very comfortable life because of her son, he gave, she took. What an awful person she must have been. I love the kitty litter idea, or simply flush it down the toilet.

R41, Sir Elton is a nasty shit who happens to be a mega-talented music writer/performer.

He treated his mother badly over the past decade. And when he and his husband married he was disrespectful of his mother; treating her like a child during the wedding planning and even on the day of the wedding as well. She felt that his future husband most likely had something to do with him turning on her but wasn't sure. She had said the trouble and emotional abuse started shortly after they met and it only escalated over the years.

She was saddened and depressed for a long time over the way he treated her. He had excluded her from events she should have been invited to. He didn't call her on her birthday a few times and just ignored her. She had said she felt abandoned and was deeply hurt. She was the one who helped him get his start and supported him all the way. Then he treated her like dirt the last 10 years. She's a nice lady and didn't deserve to be mistreated. I don't blame her for not leaving him a dime. He broke her heart.
