I like to binge watch this. My favorite is the one about the teacher who was being stalked. Supposedly a co-worker was sending her death threats and even shit on her chair. I think it pretty obvious who the real perp was.
I remember that episode, and loved it !!! The 'victim' would be right at home here.

I keep reading this as the foreskin files.

That theme is amazing. I love it. I binge watch every weekend.

OP wasnt the one teacher doing it to herself? Sending herself the death threads in order to frame the prettier, younger more popular elementary school teacher?
I think I have seen every episode of that show (some episodes 3,4,5 times) it’s sucj a well done show. I love Peter Thomas’s narration.

Love this show. It can be truly frightening—especially with Peter Thomas' narration.

The end of Unsolved Mysteries left a void in true crime TV—Foresnic Files was it’s more “science”based already solved-crime spooky cousin.

Yes the teacher was doing it to herself. IIRC there was also a turd on her chair incident at the school where she worked previously.

Trey Gowdy is up in this episode on HLN right now as the prosecutor.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | July 6, 2018 1:56 AM |
Trey Gowdy made a name for himself on FF before he became the crooked S. Carolina congressman who represented the region and wasted millions of taxpayers dollars on his "Behghazi" Inquisition. He loved being on TV and got even more in DC.
Yet, the poor gay boy couldn't figure out a "look" for his married and faux self, so he chose "stupid" or the "Dumb and Dumber" haircut to make himself look like he had gross intellectual deficiencies. He looked retarded and his South Carolina district loved him for it over and over again.

my ex calls these shows "murder shows " and hated for me to watch them when he was around.
I love them! I do a lot of analytical work and these shows just fascinate me.

R10, I call them “my murder shows”.
Hoaxers and Munchhausens are my very favorites, though. I love spotting them before everyone else does. There are a surprising number of them!

Loved this show. I'm pretty sure I've seen every episode more than once at this point. Several of the cases ended up being dramatized on CSI. Peter Thomas's narration was the best. RIP>

Maybe this is a stupid question. But are they making any new ones? I’m sick of the fourth time around reruns

This is my favorite show.
White people murdering each other over life insurance claims. Evil doctors poisoning their girlfriends. Rental complexes= death traps. Small town stalkers.

I have never watched Forensic Files or Unsolved Mysteries. What's the attraction?
by Anonymous | reply 15 | July 6, 2018 3:14 PM |
Murder porn
by Anonymous | reply 16 | July 6, 2018 3:16 PM |
It's murder porn and it moves along briskly (each episode is 30 minutes) without a lot of the boring filler and dramatic scripts of the major network murder show

R15- The narrator has the best voice. I like to keep it on for background noise. I also like to leave it on for the dog when I leave him alone so he can learn to solve crimes. I also sing to him how he’s the crime solving puppy who can assess CODIS with one swipe of his paw.

The one that creeped me out for days was the Erika & BJ Sifrit crime spree.
Another one that was wild was the Arizona family man who plotted with his lover to kill his wife in Mexico. The kicker: the lover was born a man. Yesenia Patino. Why has that case never been discussed on DL?!
by Anonymous | reply 19 | July 6, 2018 5:45 PM |
Yes, love the narrator. Especially when goes all dramatic. The Killer raised the HAMMER! Striking BLOW AFTER BLOW! Little realizing that with each blow his DNA was covering the victim and would be his undoing!

There was the one about the Miami drag queen who transitioned and then was murdered by her lover and BFF.
That was fucked up.

What about the deaf lesbian who hacked up her paramour in the basement with a chainsaw?
by Anonymous | reply 22 | July 6, 2018 8:32 PM |
The deaf lesbian was so stupid she tried to paint over the blood spatter. There were big splotches of blue paint all over the basement.
