She must be really smart. I had no idea!
Wow! Tyra Banks graduated Harvard business school!

Gurl please. Obviously she did not. She attended a training program there for a few weeks.

The Black Troll is back.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | February 20, 2018 1:55 PM |
R2 is more dumb than the OP. What is this black troll bullshit, from what I can tell you were triggered by threads on the Black Panther movie.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | February 20, 2018 1:57 PM |
Good for her for taking a class or program there. She shouldn't be crowing about it like it's an advanced degree, however. That's just a bullshit embellishment and a lie. That's the kind of thing now being scrutinized and I think OP is being satirical. Maybe by accident.

Congratulations to her. I'm happy for tyra. It's that easy to be happy for others success.

Jo) I know, money talks
Blair) In this case it screamed
by Anonymous | reply 6 | February 20, 2018 2:23 PM |
Look at all the work she's had done on her face - it's starting to look like a mask.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | February 20, 2018 2:27 PM |
R2 is right. It was just some type of course/program. Look at her "diploma". It looks like it was printed on a circa 1998 inkjet printer
But good for her for doing it

R3 Go find something to do with your life rather then constantly littering on this website.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | February 20, 2018 2:28 PM |
It's that damn Certificate Program they have. It's a PR stunt that allows them to not sacrifice their legitimate academic acumen. Lol.
I am too lazy to google but some black rapper did the same thing recently .
by Anonymous | reply 10 | February 20, 2018 2:29 PM |
Even if she had, so what? So did Dumbya.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | February 20, 2018 2:32 PM |
Getting admitted to the program is the most difficult part, not graduating. Of course, someone like Tyra would have a better chance than the average schmo.
Now, if she were a Baker Scholar, I'd be impressed.

[quote]Baker Scholar
Then she would enroll at the Devry Culinary Arts Certificate program.

Tyra Banks did not get into Harvard Business school r12.
The OPM course has no educational requirements, if you can pay the tuition, you can take the course.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | February 20, 2018 2:37 PM |
I also know people who take classes from the "Harvard Extension School." They proudly list it as "Harvard University" on Facebook to seem smart. They're not smart.

[quote]yra Banks did not get into Harvard Business school [R12].
Yes, I realize that. What I'm saying is that if she were to apply, she would have a better chance of getting admitted than the average person applying.

I don't know one person who was a Baker Scholar who didn't get his choice of multiple job offers coming out of HBS - McK, Goldman, take your pick.

I got my MBA from Screw U.

I've worked with lawyers for over 30 years and believe me, a large percentage of people who graduate from law school (not the certificate program but the actual school) are total nimrods who test well and don't know enough to come out of the rain. Like any other 'profession'.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | February 20, 2018 2:47 PM |
Sure, there are certainly people with advanced degrees who can still seem to lack some common sense r18.
Still doesn't mean people should pretend to have these degrees when they did not actually earn them, which is something Tyra has been guilty of.

-Harvard Business School’s celebrity students are dropping up to $100,000 for seminars-

I always knew she was a motherfucking genius.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | February 20, 2018 3:42 PM |
Yes, she's *super* smart!
by Anonymous | reply 23 | February 20, 2018 5:25 PM |
Agree with all the above - it was for a 2 week certification program. By no means does she have any degree whatsoever from Harvard.
Ridiculous on its face.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | February 20, 2018 5:30 PM |
R1 nailed it.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | February 20, 2018 5:49 PM |
Blair graduated from law school then chucked her degree to be the head master to Robot Chicken.

This is how they make all their money, by the way. The same goes for Executive Education at Kellogg. They charge $15-30,000 for a CLASS - not for the year. This far exceeds MBA tuition, and that's why you will see ads for it in certain markets all the time.
I don't know about the admissions criteria for HBS, but it's not that stringent for Kellogg. I think you just have to show some kind of leadership position that you are in, have a reference letter, and then send a transcript. They just want to make sure you can contribute to any class discussion & won't be lost by the 2nd day.
She never shuts up about this, which is so bizarre. Honey, anyone can go to HBS continuing education / executive education (whatever they're calling it now). Most of the programs come with a hotel stay on campus in a special little building. The Kellogg one was absolutely hideous and at a Holiday Inn level with heat you couldn't even lower (and it was 80 in there) and windows that didn't open, so I stayed at a hotel & drove back for the class. I think they've completely renovated the campus since then. I can't believe they built such shitty hotel rooms for senior executives who stay at the best hotels in the world...for a $15,000 class.
