Stephen, the dancer's stage name, had been there for a few years, and I would always tip him at the stage. That night I got a table $10 table dance from him.

God, there was a time when strip clubs were one of my favorite things, even the female ones. Great music on great sound systems and beer (not cheap but you could nurse one all night) and the girls were off on a stage dancing cool -- and you could touch them if you gingerly put a dollar in the g string but more was grounds to get kicked out. The women pretending to be attracted to the men are pretty gross. The guy strippers don't really have to play that game especially since they know what the customer is there for.
