The only thing I've read is that Kate came off as a bit of a bully when Cheryl joined the show. She was bitter over Farrah's departure, but I don't think it lasted through the series. This was the info I got from the book.

Kate did not want scenes with cheryl. I think they only shared a few non trio scenes in season 3.

I think it had to do with their height difference. Kate was much taller than the rest of the cast and was self-conscious about it. Since Cheryl is short, she was always paired up in scenes with David Doyle to make him appear taller.

Cheryl came across as fake and I hated her phony ass laugh. Team Jackson.
