R45 Well there are many things about that friendship that are strange on the surface. Him and Armie are 9 years apart in age (13 with Elizabeth), Timmy comes from a liberal NYC background, Armie comes from a religious, conservative family, Armie is married with kids and has been acting in films since Timmy was still in high school watching those films. They've made out with each other, been naked around each other, filmed blowjobs with each other, yet Timmy still gets invited to eat dinner with Elizabeth's parents, brother and sister-in-law.

So yeah, it's 'strange'. But it works for them. And honestly it's when Timmy seems happiest and healthiest, other than when he's around his family and his longterm NYC friends.

We don't who all he hangs out with in NYC or LA. Thanks to the hammers we know when he's with them . Timothee is young man whose been exposed to the entertainment world and all its ills for awhile. He seems to have a good head on his shoulders.

Well we don't always know when he's with the Hammers. I suspect it's even more than we do know.

I'm friends with people I don't have much in common with. It makes life more interesting. Timmy and Armie are a nice contrast combo.

Yes, but the context of the meeting (IIRC) is that it was at Harper's birthday dinner. It's not like they invited Timothee to spend the weekend with her parents. I've met coworkers' parents at parties. It was never a thought out situation of "I want to introduce you to my folks." Why should the Hammers introduce Timothee to Dru?

And why shouldn't they if she's agreeable to it? Armie has said Timmy is one of his best friends (and vice versa). You tend to meet your best friends parents at some point.

Armie's kinda guy who is very protective of people that he cares for. He really likes Timmy, if not love, and is very protective of him. I think Timmy is in good hand if he hangs out with Armie instead of boys his age.

It's not usual for people to become friends after making an intimate movie and esp trying to sell hard the romance. But eventually they will go their separate ways unless of course a sequel is made. There's a friendship there between the three but there's also a lot of movie promotion and Armie/Elizabeth's self promotion going on here. Timmy will be soon on to greener pastures.

R78 I think it was endlessly covered that their relationship is genuine/friendly/ etc. and that both parties like to spend time with each other. Sure, they won't meet all the time, but they'll make time to visit. Their relationship is very similar to the Tobey/Leo's one, they are such hardcore friends and have been going at it for 20 years.
