I really don't think there are as many of them as Fox News and a scroll through Tumblr would have us believe. I know a few self-identified SJWs who seem like just fairly reasonable liberals. I know a handful of trans people who are the same way. They're not going out of their way to correct every microaggression.

I didn't vote for anyone - I'm not an American. In any normal Western democracy other than in America, Hillary would be considered a center-right candidate, like Angela Merkel, for instance. How do you define "leaning to the left", I'm curious? Not pushing for theocracy? Giving anyone but straight white men basic rights? Not putting immigrants in internment camps?

Is this one of those phases that everyone eventually grows out of? It seems like I see it mostly in teenage/20-something white women. Can attest to this. Grew up in SJW central and saw how out of control and aggressive they would get sexually when alcohol and drugs entered the picture. And yes most were white, "proper" upper middle class girls who were given a huge amount of privilege. Many later in life became serial divorcee's because they felt betrayed when they realized their damaged partners weren't going to change into the perfect social-specimens for their friends to marvel at; for all the "unconditional love" they would offer them. They would rinse and repeat. I'm all for human rights but the annoyingly rose-tinted glasses never fall from these peoples faces.
