My cat Tammy started dumping outside her standard size litter box. Just a turd here and there. I started thinking she wanted more room to take a dump, so I bought her a plastic kiddie pool for $7 and filled it with $100+ of kitty litter. The kiddie pool takes up half my living room and it's difficult to move because it's so heavy. Tammy likes using it, but on occasion she still drops a turd around the apartment for some reason. Why would this happen? (I keep her box/kiddie pool very clean.)
My cat's litter box is a kiddie pool

Op, you are the very definition of skankiness.

Cats don't like to poo in the middle of the room really. Dogs will fix their eyes right on you when they poo but cats like privacy. At least that has been my experience.
Why would you use a whole kiddie pool? You have to change the entirety of the litter out every so often.... you know that, right?

Get a second kiddie pool, and add some water, a filter, some rocks and lighting, and you can have a little turtle pond, too! I dated a guy a long time ago that had one!

I hope Tammy drowns.

why don't you just go ahead dump a foot of kitty litter in your living room?

well, mewow.....

the best thing is to get a litter box with a cover or hood where the cat can have privacy. it also reduces the smell.

Watch some episodes of “My Cat From Hell” on Animal Planet or Jackson Galaxy videos on Youtube. He is known as the “cat daddy” and has fantastic advice, including addressing litter box problems. Probably easier to start with his YouTube videos.

She has a hooded litter box. And I use the best clumping litter and I clean the box and pool 3 times a day, so I never have to change the litter. I just replenish.

Litter box location is very important. Sometimes 2 boxes are necessary for one cat (even in a single apartment) to make them feel comfortable in their “home” because cats leave their scent to claim territory.

I advise keeping the kiddies out of the cat litter box. They should not use it as a pool. Maybe they could go outside and run through the sprinklers.

R9 She may not like the brand of litter you use. Have you thought about changing to a different kind?

Go to the shelter and tell them you want a cat that is litter trained. Take that cat home and then bring your cat to another shelter and leave it.
Problem solved, and it's OK because everyone is even.

I take it you don’t often entertain human visitors.

Yes, I do entertain quite often. We have tropical beach theme parties.🌴

You need a Lesbian security guard OP! She will keep your kitty from pooing where poo should be not.

"Tammy"? Is this the poster formerly known as G/R/U/M/P/Y (and then there were none)?

Does your pussy stink?

This made me laugh.

you need to surround your pool with deck chairs, OP. then you and your ripped fashion queen buddies can tan yourselves under grow lights, spritzing yourselves with fashion spray bottles.
One of you will always be at the ready to squirt the cat and shriek “NO, TAMMY, NO!” whenever she pops a squat elsewhere.
The cat will eventually find a way to escape and you’ll still have a great indoor setup for entertaining.
