Are Lincoln Logs what Honest Abe evacuated from his presidential bowels?

I had a set. As I remember, they were fun for about five minutes. How many tabletop cabins and forts does anyone need?

Back in the day, most toys were wood (Tinkertoys, Lincoln Logs, car racetracks) or metal (Tonka trucks, Matchbox cars.) Very little plastic.

We had Lincoln Logs, but I thought they were pretty mundane. On the other hand, an Erector Set ensured hours of (slightly dangerous) fun for a curious kid. Lookit this smartly dressed, bespectacled young tyke.

I don't see any bespectacleds r13.

I played with my Lincoln logs all the time as a kid...fab rustic houses to drive my match box cars to...

I remember playing with lincoln logs as a kid but I don't remember if they were mine. Probably, got bored of them. The only toy I have fond memories of was a metal Tonka dump truck. We lived on a hill and I would sit in it and roll down the hill. I left it behind my dad's truck and when he backed up he ran over it.
