The great Italian singer, Lucio Dalla, died of a heart attack at his home in Switzerland in 2012. After his death, the media started reporting, to the surprise of many, that his longtime assistant, Marco Alemanno, was in fact his life companion, raising questions in Italy about their culture and why one of their greatest musical icons couldn't be himself. Alemanno, by the way, got full "widow treatment" at the funeral in Bologna which was attend one of the biggest crowds in decades (with cameras trained on him as prominent people entering the church going to the front pew to personally condole him on his loss).

Long after, people started coming out of the woodwork to deny Alemanno was his partner and claim he was nothing more than a mere employee. Here's an interview a cousin of Dalla's denying Allemanno's relationship with him.

And here's an interview from 2014 (two years after Dalla's death) with another star of Italian music, Ron (Rosalino Cellamare), who knew and worked with Lucio Dalla stretching back to the 70s, stating that Allemano was nothing more than Dalla's "secretary" seeming quite outraged at attempts to "tarnish" the legacy of "someone so important for Italy".

If you like comedy then i'd say "Smetto Quando Voglio" (it's a trilogy! I was the one who suggested La mafia uccide solo d'estate and no it doesn't have any gay content...I think it's a bit hard to find Italian tv series with LGBT content...but, there are some Italian movies like Ci vediamo a casa ( you can find it online) and there is a gay couple played by Nicolas Vaporidis and Primo Reggiani. Overall it's a nice movie: it's about three couples (one of which it's the gay one) who are in search of a house and have to deal with many unpredictable events in order to achieve this goal.

I think it's because we really never had the "subculture" gene. Italy never had the whole "gay community" thing, or a visible gay front. But that is true for every other "tribe": of course here every kind of cultural niche exists, but it's like they never had the will or the need to go public, to make themselves be seen or heard. Every each of them lived in private, never reaching the whole society. Historically, the only identities italians felt like sharing in public with pride were the "big" ones (being a catholic, being a communist, and so on).

What I've learned from watching Italian TV is, every woman is objectified for her looks. They are not even discreet about. A woman's supposed beauty, attractiveness, sexiness (whatever you want to call it) is her greatest asset. I know, I know, it's the same in every country , blah, blah, blah ... no it doesn't. Italians amp it to the nth power. Almost all women, newsreaders, reporters, presenters are sexualized for obvious benefit of the male audience. Another thing is I get the sense single-hood is almost frowned upon in Italian culture (at least on TV). Singles are almost an aberration as boys and girls seem to be encouraged to get partnered (hopefully for life) from a very young age. Very strange to me, and I love Italy and Italian culture.

This probably the apparent lack of or reluctance of men to identify as gay even if they've had sex with other men (which I amtold happens a lot on the low). You'll see a guy that pings like crazy and they'll always, almost without fail, introduce you to their wife or girlfriend that you start to wonder if your gaydar is acting up. Well Miguel Bose is a Spaniard so I guess I’ll tell you all what he’s been up to.

Background: He and s/o Nacho Palau were together from 1992 to 2017/2018 and had 4 kids together since 2011, two pairs of twins. Also worth noting that the general public wasn’t aware of this relationship since the two had been photographed together like 5 times max. They kept it very under wraps even though Miguel has been ambiguously to openly “bi” since like 1980 and his sexuality has been subject to discussion since the 80s and 90s. Nacho was 19 when he first got into the relationship and as such was financially dependent on Miguel due to him traveling around the world for his tours and shit and his sculptures not being very successful.

Basically Nacho filed a lawsuit against Miguel back in October. Nacho is requesting that he be allowed to see all of the kids so the kids won’t be split up. I think he is also requesting what is basically alimony since he has been financially dependent on Miguel the whole time, but it’s not really alimony since he’s wanting compensation through companies in Miguel’s name. After breaking up they apparently lived in two separate houses in Panama, Miguel and the kids in one and Nacho and the staff in another, but it didn’t work out. Then Miguel had two of the kids with him in Mexico and Nacho had two of them with him in Spain, where he lived with his mother so she could help raise the kids since he didn’t have staff to help him anymore.

Also Miguel owes Spain like 2 million euros in taxes, hence him living in Mexico. And he actually posted pictures of his kids on instagram out of his own free will, which he spent years not wanting to do and actually got extorted into posting one a little while back, so he knows he’s in some deep shit with the GP right now and wants to distract people.

tl;dr Miguel Bose’s ex wants to see the kids, for the kids to not be split up, and to have financial compensation due to being dependent on him for 26 years.

R465 I don't know of any foreign specifically gay gossip sites, but there are some general tabloid/gossip websites and the comment section is usually a treasure trove of first-hand information. Russian gossip forums, for example, are a hoot every time a Hollywood celeb or an athlete (Kit Harington, Aronofski, Ronaldo) hooks up/beards up with a Russian girl. The problem is that people on here are quick to dismiss you and call you a Russian troll if the tea comes from Russian sources.

Other than that, I get my gossip from online forums dedicated to specific industries, like European football, rock bands, etc. You'd be surprised how many macho athletes like to be pegged or eat ass.
