He was the original "himbo"--the Seinfeld writers popularized that term for an episode where he played Elaine's handsome, dimwitted "bro" boyfriend (whom George developed a man-crush on).
He had a very bizarre pop culture career. He started off being the dudebro spokesman (long before the term was recognized) on commercials for something like Burger King in an attempt to reach Gen Xers when he was in his 20s, and then mostly did guest starring work on shows like Seinfeld or Melrose Place. He had a regular supporting role on the show Veronica's Closet too. He was never a star, but anyone interested in Gen X pop culture sort of knew who he was--now he's been relegated to being mostly a punchline (such as on a very memorable Steffon segment on SNL's "Weekend Update").
