Joan Jett and Sundance completely gloss over Jett’s help gang-raping former bandmate Jackie Fox in new “documentary.” #Her
I saw Bad Reputation this week. But the documentary doesn’t touch on Joan Jett’s bad reputation.
These sort of puff pieces are common. Authorized biographies have the power to use musicians’ famous songs. This one was co-produced by Joan.
But neither the film, the Sundance moderator or the audience brought up Joan’s rape allegation, which seems a little tone-deaf to #MeToo and the Hollywood sex scandals right now.

Joan says she had nothing to do with the doc. It was her manager's daughter (Joan's adopted niece) who was the main one behind it, according to Joan. So, I'd say Joan was not the producer, as it wasn't her idea. If she is, it's in name only.
And the Jackie Fox rape allegations had no business being brought up there anyway, considering they have already been addressed by Joan before. No need to re-hash it. As for #MeToo, I doubt Joan is the type to get in on that circus/witch hunt.
