Why do people look up to this Jewish grifter anyway. Yes he was gay, but there were other better qualified members of the gay community back then in San Francisco. He was more in it for himself than his fellow gays. The guy struck me as a smarmy sociopath who didn't care about anyone else but himself. There was a lot of other people who did more for gay rights than he ever did but they go unsung.

Like that gay pastor R3? I can’t remember his name. He was just featured in an article.

And what about Oliver Sipple, Harvey outed him when he wanted his sexuality to be kept private. It was all about Harvey and what he could gain from it rather than protecting the "privacy" of a fellow gay man who was also supposed to be a close friend. Only a sociopath with no conscience does that. And forget about Harvey wanting to show the world that gay men could be brave and heroic, Harvey used it as a platform to pontificate from. The fallout from that destroyed Oliver Sipple's life but it was "too good an opportunity" for Harvey to miss.

And look how he treated his ex boyfriend, he abandoned the poor kid and then he mocked him when he was desperate. When he later killed himself because he was destitute and homeless no one called out Harvey for the way he had treated him. Instead, Harvey became the centre of attention and all the condolences were about his loss, when he had helped push the poor guy over edge in the first place.

I blame Dan White, for making both Harvey Milk a Martyr and allowing the career of Dianne Feinstein.

Pederasty is still commonplace.

Harvey Milk was no different than Dianne Feinstein and the rest of the opportunistic grifters. The only thing Harvey really wanted was power, money and fame. He might have been gay, but advancing himself came first and his treatment of Oliver Sipple proves that. Unlike Feinstein however, Harvey was killed before he could become mayor and make it rich. I have to laugh at all the Harvey worship when in reality he would have left his supporters behind and headed for Washington as soon as he could. His career trajectory would have been very similar to Feinstein's, and like her, people would have become completely disillusioned with him.
