Attending the Berluti show is fine and being dressed by them for a certain number of events (and of course we knows it’s all in exchange for $$$)... but he needs the resist the financial temptation to sign an advertising contract, become their “face”, etc.

Attending the Berluti show is fine and having an unofficial relationship with the house. But a full on advertising campaign would be too much too soon and make Timmy look very thirsty for the perks of celebrity without truly proving he’s got artistic staying power (which personally I think he has in spades).

He just needs to be careful and pace all of this properly. Right now he’s got people coming at him from all angles that want to capitalize a piece of this unique moment as his star ascends.

It’s great that he’s having fun and enjoying some of it, but this type of attention can be seriously intoxicating and lead to bad decisions. The risk of major overexposure is definitely a factor and he could start to seem frivolous to the people that really matter (top tier directors).

So far he’s handled everything very well, but I hope his team doesn’t blow their wad in one awards season. You’ve got to keep some mystery and aspiration in the narrative so it can play out a bit longer until he’s fully established as a HW player.

Anyway, that’s my two cents. But what do I know? My business is running luxury safari lodges in Africa. LOL

Wait a mintue. I'm geniunely curious why people think that Timmy's family is wealthy. His mother is a real estate broker/former Broadway dancer and his father edits articles to French for UNICEF. How are they rich?

Also he grew up in Manhattan Plaza which is an income restricted building for people in the arts. Probably his mom wasn't making much when she had an earlier career as a Broadway dancer and that's how they got in there.

Now she's for sure making much more as a real estate agent. His dad's job editing for UNICEF would be high prestige from an intellectual standpoint but not a big money earning position at all.

Timmy has aunts and uncles in the business, for sure has connections that have helped him immensely, and had a privileged upbringing in the sense of being surrounded by creative, smart people and being given the chance to explore his own creativity. But they are not rich in the sense of what most people think that means.
