How sad. She's now campaigning for Trump candidates and follows all Right-wing Stooges and Breitbart and The Blaze and so on on Twitter. I guess living in Texas went to her head.
fuck off Deplorables Troll
by Anonymous | reply 1 | January 18, 2018 12:58 PM |
And fuck you, OP, for that PINTEREST click!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
by Anonymous | reply 2 | January 18, 2018 1:02 PM |
OP's link is idiotic, but I checked her Twitter and she is indeed endorsing and campaigning for some jackass who is one of those "proud deplorable" types.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | January 18, 2018 1:07 PM |
Give her a break, she's gotta be pushing 90 at this point. She's obviously suffering from dementia.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | January 18, 2018 1:09 PM |
I've followed her on Twitter for many years. She's always genuinely funny, recollecting her years in showbiz and joking about her and her husband's retired life on a ranch in Texas where they own a restaurant. I wouldn't be surprised to learn she's Republican, but I really don't recall any tweets about politics in all this time, or any Obama insults. Why hold her up as some sort of bad example?
by Anonymous | reply 5 | January 18, 2018 1:10 PM |
She’s 82 or thereabouts. I’m disappointed in her. I mean, she was on LAUGH IN! One of the most subversive and liberal variety shows on television.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | January 18, 2018 1:11 PM |
She's still ALIVE???
by Anonymous | reply 7 | January 18, 2018 1:11 PM |
You got me on ignore or something, R5?
by Anonymous | reply 8 | January 18, 2018 1:11 PM |
Weren't Rowan and Martin themselves fairly conservative themselves?
by Anonymous | reply 9 | January 18, 2018 1:11 PM |
Rowan and Martin both appeared for Nixon on the campaign trail, so yes.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | January 18, 2018 1:15 PM |
R6 ex-hippies are some of the most virulent conservatives today.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | January 18, 2018 1:17 PM |
Hippies were a CIA experiment gone haywire.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | January 18, 2018 1:23 PM |
Sock it to her.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | January 18, 2018 1:32 PM |
Shove the Flying Fickle Finger of Fate right up her hoo-haa.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | January 18, 2018 1:33 PM |
Fuck Flicker Farkel.

Here come da judgement. Here come da judgement.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | January 18, 2018 1:35 PM |
I'll never forget seeing her as Evita in a dinner theater production. Her rendition of Don't Cry For Me Argentina brought a tear to my eye.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | January 18, 2018 1:38 PM |
Laugh In was never about hippies it was about square actors pretending to be hippies.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | January 18, 2018 1:41 PM |
Baby boomers are the biggest fucking hypocrites. Peace and love my ass. It was always all about ME ME ME ME ME. Assholes, the entire generation. Trump’s base.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | January 18, 2018 2:06 PM |
Too bad, considering she threw the first brick at the Stonewall riots.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | January 18, 2018 2:06 PM |
Some additional info:
1. Her ranch is near Stephenville in Erath County, which is deplorable central. (Art Briles was the revered coach at Stephenville High School before he led the rape team at Baylor.
2. Sid Miller, the Texas Agriculture Commissioner, is also from Stephenville, so they're probably neighbors or at least in the same social circles.
3. Sid Miller is indeed a jackass, a deplorable, and Trump-wannabe.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | January 18, 2018 2:18 PM |
She played a really butch field hockey coach in the original [italic]Freaky Friday[/italic]. Kaye Ballard was her assistant.

Who?
by Anonymous | reply 30 | January 18, 2018 3:37 PM |
Neither am I, R30, but I know who she was, and I have since I was a kid and she was the voice of Mama Bear on [italic]The Berenstein Bears[/italic] in the 1980s.

R19, Ruth Buzzi is not a Boomer.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | January 18, 2018 4:18 PM |
Buzzi is Greatest Generation. They're all heinous racists nowadays. See the Tom Brokaw thread for another example.

And they say Republicans are waging a War on Women.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | January 18, 2018 4:31 PM |
R10 Nixon wasn't a right wing deplorable. He was for price controls and universal healthcare. He would be more of a moderate Democrat today.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | January 18, 2018 4:31 PM |
It's always disappointing when people whom you once admired turn to the dark side. Breitbart is shocking. I can't bring myself to read any more articles. It's pure hate speech.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | January 18, 2018 4:31 PM |
Those price controls didn't work, R37. Reagan managed to figure that out.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | January 18, 2018 4:39 PM |
Was there ever.....ever ever........EVER a TV show more fucking BORING than Celebrity Bowling?
by Anonymous | reply 40 | January 18, 2018 4:39 PM |

Do you think the Russians killed Andrew Breitbart for this purpose?

Do you mean the "Berenstain Bears" R31?

She is "silent generation," although bitch is anything but silent.

R39 Reagan's tax cuts didn't work look at the deficits he created.

I'm in Houston and have fucking clue where this is. Hadn't thought of her in years.
by Anonymous | reply 45 | January 18, 2018 4:52 PM |
R37, Nixon was a deplorable. The Ur-Deplorable, if you will.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | January 18, 2018 4:54 PM |
You can't compare politicians from before Reagan with the ones today. The Republicans of yore would be Democrats today. Reagan gave the evangelicals a voice and it turned the Republicans into the hard right deplorables they are today.
by Anonymous | reply 47 | January 18, 2018 4:54 PM |

It wasn't Ruth, it was the garlic mashed potatoes.

R47 - you forget Nixon, Goldwater et al.
by Anonymous | reply 49 | January 18, 2018 4:56 PM |
Was that the same production where Jamie Farr played Che?
by Anonymous | reply 50 | January 18, 2018 5:00 PM |
Well, I think one is just naturally going to be off-kilter when the family business was headstones and cemetery statuary.
by Anonymous | reply 51 | January 18, 2018 5:00 PM |
Eisenhower maybe, r47, but the anti-FDR Repugs back in the day were rotten, and many ranking Repugs from Nixon on have been terrible human beings.
by Anonymous | reply 52 | January 18, 2018 5:04 PM |
Actually, R47, it was Jimmy Carter the born again christan who brought religion big time into politics. Reagan took that 10X further.
by Anonymous | reply 53 | January 18, 2018 5:29 PM |
Not at all, r53. Presidents during Prohibition cited the Bible all the time, and Eisenhower was known for adding little bits of Christianity to everyday things with the express purpose of moving us toward theocracy.
Carter is one of those wacky Southern religious types who are hugely devout but also progressive, mainly because they care about helping people because Jesus would.
by Anonymous | reply 54 | January 18, 2018 5:55 PM |
Duh, R54. My point is that Jimmy Carter made his born again status part of his campaign, which was new in modern times. Most people didn't know what "born again" was until Carter. I voted for him in 1976 and 1980 because there was no other choice.
by Anonymous | reply 55 | January 18, 2018 5:59 PM |
[quote]but the anti-FDR Repugs back in the day were rotten
FDR himself was a real piece of work. He banned cannabis, conducted witch hunts against gays, and cared more about interning Japanese than saving the lives of Jews.

How sad OP has no job and nothing else going on in his life so he has lots of time to scour social media for people who think differently than him. I guess living off of taxpayer money went to his head and he's strangely self-righteous and without shame.
by Anonymous | reply 59 | January 18, 2018 7:32 PM |
