Can Sharon Stone make a comeback?
I didn't realize how serious her stroke was. She almost died and had to relearn everything. She looks great today and is determined to get her career back. I wish Ryan Murphy would cast her as the lead in his next TV show.
Where is she getting the money to live in such luxury in Beverly Hills? She hasn't worked in ages and her medical bills must have been enormous. I would kill for that angel's trumpet tree in her backyard.

I never thought she was a good actress, but she was a world class beauty. I think she actually looks better now than she did when she was younger; she has an elegant, patrician look, which is not common in older actresses, because they try too hard to look young and sexy. Her beauty looks effortless. I can see her doing a high profile tv mini series.

I think it's a bit of PR spin to try and reframe her career in light of the new HBO show "Mosaic" (and explain away a decade of bizarre non-Hollywood movies and failed TV shows) and a tiny cameo in "The Disaster Artist". She was reportedly fired from the movie "American Ultra" by Jessie Eisenberg himself because she refused to or couldn't learn her lines (although he seems like an insufferable aspies asshole and that movie bombed so whatever). She probably would have been better off learning to act on stage and devoting herself to her craft in order to age more gracefully (as an actor). But I won't argue that she's one of the most attractive actresses of the past 50 years. She reminds me more of an East Coast patrician woman, which is what she should play. Or a lesbian. Anything but someone with an accent and de-glammed.

"But when Stone recently challenged the agreement, seeking to move Roan to Los Angeles, Judge Massullo sided with Bronstein. Massullo made headlines by repeating a claim of Bronstein’s that Stone suggested Botox injections as a way to deal with Roan’s smelly feet. It is a claim Stone vehemently denies. “Sharon never made any statements on the issue of putting Botox in the child’s feet,” her lawyer Marty Singer told PEOPLE. “This generally happens in divorces involving custody: People name-call and make accusations that the other one is a bad parent. It’s very unfortunate because the child in many cases is the one who suffers.”

Why would Bronstein have that kind of money? Nothing in his Wikipedia bio hints at family money. I don’t think you get that rich being the editor of a SF newspaper. I’m sure he’s well off but over $120M in wealth? Someone enlighten me.
You might forget in the ‘90s, post-Basic Instinct, she pulled down star salaries for 8 or 8 major studio films, around the time Julia Roberts was making $20M a movie. I’m sure Stone was averaging at least $10M for each of those films. Plus she had plenty of “Actress” money from career pre-BI. She worked all the time and was already headlining straight to video fare at that time. I’m sure she invested well.
Btw, what was her cameo in The Disaster Artist? People aren’t confusing her with Melanie Griffith, are they?
Stone isn’t the best actress but she’s dedicated and committed to what she does. She stole the show from DeNiro and Pesci in Casino.

R74 She plays Greg Sestero's agent, Iris Burton (who was apparently a real person). She only shows up in one scene in the film.
You're right: she had been a working actress for years before Basic Instinct. She had supporting roles in many wide-wide release films (Total Recall, He Said She Said, Above the Law, and more), tv work (regular, guest spots, pilots, miniseries), and leads in direct to dvd stuff. Combined with the "star" money she got after Basic Instict (which goes beyond just doing film work -- there are so many revenue streams available for a name star like her), she most likely made enough to live comfortably for the rest of her life.
Even after her star had faded, there were opportunities for big paychecks (she would have earned millions for Basic Instict 2), and she still earns a premium for any acting or appearances she does do just for being a "name."

She's always been a little too "shanty" looking. "Lace Curtain" at best. Throw some red hair on her head and she's Lohan.
People here talk like she was on par with Viv Leigh. A true beauty. Stone has that cheap look to her. Her features are symmetrical but none outstanding. She reminds me of that family that stuffed 6 kids into a home suitable for 2 and everyone was relieved when they moved to OK bc they slanted up the neighborhood. Go eat some potatoes.

I'd like to talk a little about this Brugmansia tree Ms. Stone has in her yard, and then address how it may influence a "comeback," per noted in this thread.
First of all the 'Angel Trumpet" tree is, like all plants in the Solanaceae family, are highly, highly toxic and not be be messed with in any physical capacity, hence my warning to her about sitting under it's 'spell' for any length of time.
However, if she has bonded with the plant spirit, and is in an intimate and devoted relationship with it, (and even then, one treads VERY carefully with Solanaceae) Ms. Stone is then able to access her divine spirit and assistance.
So, yes, not only is a "comeback" in store for her but eternal youth, strength of body, and a musical outlook is in the works, for the rest of her life.
Never touch Our Lady Solanaceae, but love and respect her from a distance, and ask for her divine love and acceptance.

I love what Sharon Stone says in about 05:13 over on the link OP posted.
To paraphrase
Grecian Formula looking fellow delicately asks her about sexual harassment
Sharon Stone throws her head back, cackles and says, 'I've been in this business 40 years. I came from Nowhere Pennsylvania looking like how I look. I've seen it all!'
Love me some Sharon Stone, y'all. She just could give a darn. Mama gonna make that mortgage as long as that dangling buttplug looking tree of apparent death doesn't kill her first. Dang tree probably stunted her oldest son's growth. Caused her "stroke." God knows what else.
Her sons are maybe nephews? Second cousins? Something's up with how they all resemble her a bit. It's odd.
I love Sharon through it all. She's gorgeous what for her bone structure.

LOVE how she threw her head back and cackled. And told it how it is. For sure she has seen everything and isn't sitting there crying about it, but living a glamorous life instead. She climbed to the top and saw it all. Love this woman. Younger cry baby bitches should be envious of this beautiful trooper.

Ryan Murphy really missed an opportunity by not casting her as Joan Crawford in Feud. I love Jessica, but Sharon embodies Joan's persona to a T.
If you close your eyes and listen to her answer on the sexual harassment question, you'll think it's Joan in one of her old interviews. The tone, cadence, and air of superiority is classic Joan.

I adore Sharon Stone! She brought back that lush, classic Hollywood glamour. She would have been a superstar in Hollywood’s heyday. I remember when she appeared at the Oscar ceremonies in the early 1990s. She dressed like a glamorous movie star in the 1930s. She was breathtaking. I saw many of her films and enjoyed them. I also admire her work for AIDS and her support of gay rights.

Sharon Stone is 59 but looks about 40 (true), this is because Ms. Stone has accessed the plant spirit world and has submitted to it's dominance. When doing so, one can remain strong, youthful, fit, and creative.
Now my heart is sinking for another actress who became so fragile at the same age (RIP)---she chose a different route I guess, but I wish she would have adopted Ms. Stone's philosophy.
Also, please have faith in Jesus Christ my friends.

She’s gorgeous but a terror.
“Stone, Sharon. "She had a mattress on her back to get to the top in Hollywood." Unpleasant personality--over-full of herself. Steals quotes and does not give attribution; steals jewelry and does not return it. Given to quickly selecting and then rejecting men, based on what they can do for her and what & how much they can buy her. Difficult to work with. Has had a tendency to tv shop for her one night stands--sees them on tv, rents a room, and then has her selections told to meet her there. Poor tipper. Breast implants. Dope smoker. Power-obsessed. Used the casting couch to get roles and her way on the set. Linked with Prince Albert of Monaco, Adrien Brody, Russell Crowe, Dwight Yoakam and Dweezil Zappa; reportedly nailed Bill Clinton on election night.”

Yes, I have had one of these things growing not far from where I sleep at night, and the plant would communicate incredibly beautiful yet complex and strange thoughts. It was great for meditating near by. After several years of communicating with it, I got "permission" to pluck out a single pollen stigma from the open flower which I chopped up with a bowl of cannabis and started smoking SLOWLY. You need a high level of trust and respect for the plant to be able to do this safely. It was blissful yet highly dissociative .

Please Ms. Stone,
Tread lightly with her; it is not at all necessary to take the plant spirit internally--she is a killer, you know.
The fact that she has been communicating with you as a friendly and welcoming spirit means she thinks of you as a warrior woman. Lady Solanaceae is the guardian of earth and she dislikes humans in general, says we make a mess of things, always polluting, etc.. however if she accepts you then you are in her 'clique,' be flattered but also understand that she chooses the toughest women on earth to be her human allies---it's not an easy job and neither is it much fun at times.
With her companionship she will take you into other realms---the dream world, and as you put it--the 'dissociative' state. Again, that's nothing to fool around with and she will and does cause memory loss and the 'zombie reality'--meaning you can feel as though you are living around dead people, so to speak.
It's best to converse with her externally only, and like you say, have her influence your dreams.
She will help you, protect you, and make you different, which you already were anyway

Her weight seems to fluctuate a bit - sometimes she's very skinny, other times (especially early in her career) she had more of a Cybill Shepherd kind of build. She looks great in the interview but closer to her real age then In the clips they show of the show, where she looks much younger.

[italic] Now here's the truth, to face and deal with, if you want to survive! [/italic]
Sharon Stone is a smart woman who's been in the business for a long, long time. Along the way she learned to act (to a degree) and certainly how to play The Game. She will basically say or do anything that will get her the type of publicity she wants at any given moment. This is what most performers do. She said in one interview she would make a great agent, as she loves to negotiate deals. From what I've seen, I agree with her. She can be charmingly ruthless.
But a few half-truths in the OP's clip:
Stone says she came to Hollywood as a clueless girl from Pensylvania. Well, not exactly. She was so smart she graduated high school early, then she toured the world for a few years as a fashion model signed to a top agency. So she didn't exactly hit L.A. as a wide-eyed, small town girl, but as a successful model who'd lived in Europe, Manhattan, etc.
She also is fond of trotting out this claim that Hollywood never "saw her as sexy" and she had to work at being seen that way (!) Well, her first acting role was as an idealized fantasy blonde in a skimpy white satin gown in Woody Allen's [italic] Stardust Memories [/italic] (1980) and her big break was playing Ryan O'Neal's starlet mistress in [/italic] Irreconcilable Differences [/italic] (1984) in which she wowed him by taking off her top. Soooooooooooooo, it's [italic] rather [/italic] hard to imagine that directors did not see her as "sexy" right out of the gate.

She looks even better in the BASIC INSTINCT screen test than she did in the finished movie.
That role was offered to Greta Sacchi first, then Michelle Pfeiffer, then just about every name actress in Hollywood before they all turned it down, and it then trickled down to the B level of the Sharon Stones of 1990. Stone was lucky she had just worked with the same director on the film right before (TOTAL RECALL)

Her surgery is the kind people should have having. She's not trying to look 25 again. She just doesn't want to look tired or frail. Susan Sarandon is another good example. Jane Fonda isn't half bad either. All these women still look like themselves, but well preserved. Not stretched into looking like some sort of alien creature. Here's a tip - if you never had puffy cheeks and puffy lips in your 20's, don't get those goddamn injections in your 40's-80's. People will notice. Get the eyes and the neck done and you're good to go.

Pfeifer's mannered way of speaking would have gotten in the way if she had played Catherine Trammel. Actually, having just seen Pfeifer in Mother and Murder on the Orient Express, I'm not sure why Stone couldn't have played either role. She needs a new agent if she wants a true comeback. And wasn't Stone supposed to play the Wasp's mom in Ant Man... now Pfeifer is playing it.

[R221] Yikes! Movies like this are totally bewildering to me in terms of why? Why was it made? If it were a fantastic sleeper comedy that got great word of mouth on the festival circuit it could conceivably be picked up by a major distributor. Or, more likely, a feature film for cable. But this? "Starring Sharon Stone" is not an asset at this point. Did anyone involved think this was a good film? Did anyone think its mediocrity would not be noticed through some collective delusion? I understand that a paycheck is a paycheck but how dispiriting. RICKI AND THE FLASH collides with MAMMA MIA! and herein lies the wreckage.

R213 the script for the movie was on the "Black List" (which is a famous list of the best unproduced screenplays in Hollywood) years ago. That probably helped it get made -- but independently and at a lower budget.
And it did get picked up by a major distributor: Universal Pictures. They just aren't giving it a wide theatrical release, which is an obvious choice given it's a low-budget romcom with no major stars. But given that it's a major distributor, there will be some promotion done for the film -- probably mostly talk show appearances for Stone.
