They still donate to homophobic causes but their restaurants are still jam packed with good Christian Fraus and all matters of white people. They are the official deplorable fast food joint.
Do You Still Boycott Chick-Fil-A?

Trump paid $130K hush money to a porn star but yes let's do THIS thread again for the 19th time.
by Anonymous | reply 1 | January 12, 2018 9:11 PM |
r1 Umm yea, it's a day that ends in Y, we can still talk about other things though
by Anonymous | reply 2 | January 12, 2018 9:13 PM |
I do, although I keep telling people I miss the days when a fast food restaurant was the big, evil enemy. They don’t even crack the top 200.
PS whatever happened to panic over crossdressing men in women’s rooms? Did it go away because Nazism is in vogue, or because it’s no longer politically expedient?
by Anonymous | reply 3 | January 12, 2018 9:16 PM |
It's easy to boycott a company that has no outlets in your area.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | January 12, 2018 9:16 PM |
No. I can’t bring myself to go there and support them. But I don’t do fast food so much anyway. I’m in Atlanta so they’re very popular here - A new one opened down the street this week and people were camping out because the first 100 customers got free food from them for a year.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | January 12, 2018 9:20 PM |
I returned to my hometown a few years ago, and one thing I noticed immediately was after the whole gay discrimination thing went down - the place was packed, the drive thru was so long they had to put orange cones to direct the drive thru lines to the window. It hasn't changed in nearly 10 years since then, which is sad. The location I'm speaking of had to ultimately close and re-open a new location across the street with extra long double drive thru lines - and it's still packed beyond belief. I have always liked their food, but I not only not go there for their political leanings, but also it's ridiculous to wait in such long likes. The area is heavily blue collar catholic folks. I guess they're equating their love of Chik-Fil-A with making a donation at church or something. It's really sad.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | January 12, 2018 9:22 PM |
never been, never will. cheap shit junk food.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | January 12, 2018 9:23 PM |
What did it for me was that I saw how many new restaurants opened after they doubled down on the fundie shit, and how long the lines were. I really can't support that. And it's just a chicken sandwich, you can get them elsewhere.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | January 12, 2018 9:24 PM |
The wretched chain came to the DC area not too many years ago, and now they even have food trucks in the city. Lots of my coworkers go there and several have even apologized to me (resident gay—and I do try to make them feel bad about it) for eating it, but all just insist the food is so good that they don’t really care about the politics of the company. I ate their chicken nuggets during grad school when I was hungry and they were convenient, before I knew about the christian thing, and I thought they were disgusting...always wet and tasted like pickles.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | January 12, 2018 9:28 PM |
R7 & R8, their chicken sandwiches, and their breakfast menu are awesome imo. Far better than all the other major fast food chains. I'm more surprised that someone else hasn't come along -without all the religious/fundie/homophobic baggage to compete with them. I'm not denouncing my homosexuality and atheism over a god-damned chicken sandwich (which is admittedly good), but it shouldn't be to hard for a competitor or competitors to step in and offer an alternative. I'd be there faster than you can say faggot, lol.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | January 12, 2018 9:29 PM |
HELL NO. That chicken is too good! The one by me stays packed. Drive thru with a line into the street and for dine in a line out the door. Sorry team.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | January 12, 2018 9:31 PM |
I tried them about 20 years ago while in Atlanta and thought it was awful, dry, chewy, and way too much salt, so I never ate there again.
They have since opened in NYC but, based on their politics, I would never go back, even if somebody convinced me their food had improved.
I stopped going to Subway when their CEO came out against Obamacare, so, yes, I use my consumer dollar to make a (small) statement

by Anonymous | reply 14 | January 12, 2018 9:34 PM |
Guys, why do you fall for this every time? These threads are started specifically for shills like r11 to post in.
This has been going on for years. Just stop.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | January 12, 2018 9:36 PM |
I really think their chicken is disgusting. But I think Starbucks coffee is disgusting and people clamor to spend $10 a cup for it.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | January 12, 2018 9:37 PM |
r15 OP here and I fucking hate Chick-fil-A, so I have no interest in propping them or deplorables up. I'm interested if the community is going there and funding our hate groups

by Anonymous | reply 19 | January 12, 2018 9:42 PM |
OP, you do not have a future as a pollster.
Your thread title and poll question are at odds, guaranteeing scattershot results.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | January 12, 2018 9:46 PM |
They're incredibly successful, which goes to show you how useless all of these protests and boycott are.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | January 12, 2018 9:47 PM |

by Anonymous | reply 23 | January 12, 2018 9:47 PM |

Strange coincidence that this thread looks exactly like so many others asking the exact same question.

"I'm interested if the community is going there and funding our hate groups"
The short answer is yes. It's been yes every time this subject comes up here.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | January 12, 2018 9:47 PM |

by Anonymous | reply 27 | January 12, 2018 9:51 PM |
They really are mega successful though. What makes them the #1 chicken chain in America is their above average customer service and, as far as fast food goes, a really good chicken sandwich—better than all of their competitors.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | January 12, 2018 9:54 PM |
[quote] Your thread title and poll question are at odds, guaranteeing scattershot results.
I did that. I read the big green title question and immediately answered the poll. Then we find out actual poll question asks the question backwards from the title, so No can mean Yes.
On the bright side for OP, the Trump campaign may want to hire him for polling.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | January 12, 2018 9:56 PM |
The policies this a-hole owner supports is anti-democratic and Repulsive , so YES i boycott. The junk there taste like shit, so it is EASY too. I do not get the addiction to this place bc of the food.

I tried it a couple of times (pre-boycott) and there are plenty of better spots, at least in CA.

by Anonymous | reply 33 | January 12, 2018 10:06 PM |
One finally opened up in our town and I vowed never to go there. One day I finally did because I was in a hurry and there it was. The chicken sandwich was decent, the place very clean, and the staff was polite. I've been there twice now in three years. It's not high on my list, especially because it's owned by bigoted fundies. I don't care whether they're open on Sundays or not. That's their right.
Because we never had one nearby and I'd never heard the name pronounced until recently I thought it was pronounced "chick - filla."
by Anonymous | reply 34 | January 12, 2018 10:07 PM |
I ate there twice before I found out that they were helping fund hate groups. The place was very clean, the workers friendly and efficient, and the food pretty good (although I avoid junk food). But I won't eat there unless they change their policies.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | January 12, 2018 10:08 PM |
When they overtook KFC as the nation’s top chicken chain, I knew they were on to something. Lines are constantly wrapped around the building. Being closed on Sundays doesn’t make or break their bottom line because the Monday-Saturday business is so strong.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | January 12, 2018 10:23 PM |
The breakfast whole grain bagel with chicken, egg and cheese is Da Bomb.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | January 12, 2018 11:52 PM |
The closest Chick-Fil-A is about 12 miles away and not in a direction I usually travel. So, I'm not boycotting it but unless they have a unique wine and beer menu there's no reason to go out of my way.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | January 13, 2018 12:30 AM |
I've eaten there twice in the last 5 years only when we've been on the road and it's the only option at our stop.
If I understood correctly, the most offensive thing they were donating to (the group in Africa which advocates for murdering gays) they no longer do. Which was the only reason I even agreed to do it on those rare times. But they still are not exactly pro gay.
The closed Sundays thing, I have no issue with. I have no issue with them being Christian. There is a big difference between being PRO something versus ANTI something, that's where I take issue with them.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | January 13, 2018 12:36 AM |
I don't usually get into boycotting, but I do avoid them. The product is fine, but so many people act like it is manna from Heaven. Same with In-N-Out. Maybe these people have more (monosodium) glutamate receptors than I do.
I have a frau friend and an SJW-type friend who were so happy to rush back when they heard the company was no longer making the donations, but I still feel funny about it. I'm not in favor of forcing religious (or even hateful) bakers to make me a wedding cake, but I will always associate Chick-Fil-A with funding anti-gay organizations and will avoid them--not that they care.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | January 13, 2018 12:49 AM |
This is true and it does rub me the wrong way. It’s a private business and they can do as they like, but requiring franchisees to prove they are Christian enough to sell waffle fries and pray with them creeps me the fuck out.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | January 13, 2018 12:59 AM |
Why eat Hate Food? It's bad for your body, your soul, your Karma!
by Anonymous | reply 42 | January 13, 2018 1:04 AM |
R40, does CFA even use MSG in their breading/seasoning? I'm not saying this to promote them - I'm against what they've done and have only eaten their food in less than a handful of times in the past several years. But one of the things I liked about their chicken sandwiches, was the blend of a slightly sweet breading, a brine-y pickle flavor, and the the tenderness of (what I believed to be) pressure frying their chicken. Even McDonalds, of all places, tried to copy them but got it all wrong. I'm still having a tough time believing another chain can't come along and one up them, without all the christian anti-gay political baggage.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | January 13, 2018 1:15 AM |
I RARELY eat there. It's not that great. I eat there once every two or three years.
by Anonymous | reply 44 | January 13, 2018 1:16 AM |
I live in a city with a very high gay population. When the same-sex marriage controversy first came out, everyone was boycotting and making a stand by showing up with their partner and having a lot of PDA in front of the restaurant. Made the news, of course. Now, its as if it never happened. Chic Fil A is always packed inside, and the drive-thru wraps around the entire building most days. People get over stuff very quickly. Besides, Chic Fil A is so damn good!

Maybe Manhattan will attract the tourists hungry for a taste of home. If Guy Fieri can have a successful restaurant there,,,,

It's the same principle as to why there's an Olive Garden right by Times Square.

by Anonymous | reply 56 | January 13, 2018 5:50 PM |
Ohh good the deplorables that visit NYC will have a comforting place to eat.
by Anonymous | reply 57 | January 13, 2018 5:51 PM |
That's because there are no lines, r49. The shills use the "lines around the block" bit all the time. It doesn't reflect reality.
I live in a smallish city in Kansas with a CFA easily visible right off a main thoroughfare. I've never seen lines like that and we're Ground Zero for shitty homophobic rednecks eating shitty fast food because they're lemmings.
by Anonymous | reply 58 | January 13, 2018 5:57 PM |
The longest lines I see for anything is In N Out. Obviously, Chick makes money but I'll bet their per-store average is significantly lower.
by Anonymous | reply 59 | January 13, 2018 6:02 PM |
No, ignorant poster at R58, the lines are quite real. It depends upon where you are, of course, but I've seen them in different locations. Stop making up dribble to suit your one-dimensional conclusions.
by Anonymous | reply 60 | January 13, 2018 6:03 PM |
I'm not in a Fly Over state. I'm in Wilton Manors, FL. One of the gayest cities in America. Chic Fil A is right in the neighborhood. And the lines do wrap around the building. I see gay men and women there all the time. Like I said, people quickly forget. And the bottom line is, if you knew EVERY business in the U.SA. that doesn't support gay rights, you would certainly be limiting your options in life. That's my take on it.
by Anonymous | reply 61 | January 13, 2018 6:05 PM |
Jesus, do some of you invested dickheads own a franchise? STFU.
by Anonymous | reply 62 | January 13, 2018 6:06 PM |
What I meant to say was, if you knew, and boycotted every business that didn't support gay rights, you would be immensely limiting yourself.
by Anonymous | reply 63 | January 13, 2018 6:07 PM |
r63 I would say there's a difference between a company that doesn't "support" gay rights and one that funds organizations that work against us.
by Anonymous | reply 64 | January 13, 2018 6:10 PM |
Some things are easier to boycott than others, Chick Filet A being one of them. It's so mediocre, it can't even be a guilty pleasure.
by Anonymous | reply 65 | January 13, 2018 6:21 PM |
I haven't eaten there since before the boycott, when I was given rancid salad dressing, twice. Blue cheese dressing, white on the packet illustration, was bright yellow with peroxidation. I guess their clientele doesn't order salads often.
There's only one near me anyway, in a mall. It does OK, no huge lines, but it has no competition. The high mall rents have run off all the other fast food places.
by Anonymous | reply 66 | January 13, 2018 6:23 PM |
R66 the next time you walk by the place in the mall, check out the customers. Salads aren't popular with the heifers gobbling down their fried chicken sandwiches and waffle fries.
by Anonymous | reply 67 | January 14, 2018 9:51 PM |
[quote]That's because there are no lines, [R49]. The shills use the "lines around the block" bit all the time. It doesn't reflect reality.
You’re deluded. The lines are quite real, and it happens at every CFA I’ve ever seen. I realize you may not want it to be so, but it is.
by Anonymous | reply 68 | January 14, 2018 10:56 PM |
I believe it. Too bad most if these fat asses are too fucking lazy to go to a grocery store. You can get a cooked roast chicken for $6.99 or less, and a couple veggies and be eating in 15 minutes.
That's why most of them will end up poor and in poor health.
by Anonymous | reply 69 | January 15, 2018 1:22 AM |
R68 While your anecdotal evidence is appreciated, your smug tone of cunty condescension is not. Until you're able to monitor all CFAs simultaneously, I'm going to presume - based on my experience - that most CFA outposts aren't plagued by "lines around the block."
As I previously stated, my local CFA isn't overrun with people and it should be; it's the only fast food place actually housed within this particular mall.
The popularity of any individual CFA is based on many factors: the amount of competition nearby, both in their specialized niche (chicken) and with fast food restaurants in general, the number if fundies per capita willing to make a "statement" by eating this shit, etc.
You know, there are people who are just as enthusiastic about Taco Bell and Popeye's. CFA is nothing special.

by Anonymous | reply 78 | January 17, 2018 8:09 AM |
So you don’t give a shit about cleanliness or good customer service from the places you eat? Got it.
by Anonymous | reply 79 | January 17, 2018 8:14 AM |
No, I don't think anyone besides Chick-Fil-A's PR people is thinking "I really wanna go to CFA today, it's just so fucking CLEAN."
by Anonymous | reply 80 | January 17, 2018 8:17 AM |
This isn't even good shilling. When a shill refuses to admit that every CFA isn't packed, that just sounds retarded not dedicated. Not to mention using the very same talking points in every thread (Clean! Customer service!).
by Anonymous | reply 82 | January 18, 2018 9:43 PM |
Look dude, we all want to hate their (former?) practices of donating to less than savory institutions that didn’t exactly have gays on the tops of their favorite persons lists, but the truth is the truth. Their business is booming and is not hurt by being closed on Sundays, by not offering beef, or by any boycotting that many gays used to do, some still do and many have never done at all. So, simmer down.
by Anonymous | reply 84 | January 18, 2018 10:23 PM |
I have no qualms with CFA and would go there if I ever felt like it. But the fast food chain I like beyond all others, Cook Out, isn't available in NYC and I can only get it on family visits. Most others are mediocre and would only warrant a purchase if nothing else was available. I'd go to Cook Out anytime.
by Anonymous | reply 85 | January 18, 2018 11:24 PM |
And the truth is that they still donate to hate groups, no matter how you try to couch it in vague terms
And while their business may be "booming," let's not pretend every outlet has lines around the block. It's a laughable exaggeration.

It's peculiar to me that gay people would choose to patronize businesses that are openly antagonistic toward gays, much less take the time to defend them online. It's easy to say they're all Frauen and paid shills but I'm certain some of these idiots are gay men.
Most bizarre of all is, in the cases of Chick-fil-A and Hobby Lobby, better quality options are widely available.
