I was a kid in the 70s, I think he was on Captain Kangaroo? He creeped me out back then, and now his hair creeps me out.

Never heard of or watched the show OP, but just from looking at this guy's pictures, I'm traumatized. Who the hell decided that a children's show character who looks like he's been flayed would be a good idea?

Yes! I saw him on PBS a couple times when I was a young kid in the 80’s and then years later remembered this vague image of a man in a body suit with all his organs visible and it seemed too weird to have been real. I remembered his brillow hair and the only other weirdo human I knew of with that hair was Richard Simmons so for years I thought it must have been RS, except no internet searches ever linked Simmons to the body suit. It was a real mind fuck and I can’t have been the only kid who had that reaction.
