She's been fucked up her whole adult life. Not only did she lose her mom at 17, but her mom died right next to her, and then everyone said she was driving and blamed her.

I don't think Grace and Rainier ever taught their daughters to do anything with their lives other than to be ornamental, so they've spent most of their adult lives trying to figure out what to do. Caroline hung around with Eurotrash millionaires and petty princelings (and married two of the first and one of the second), while Stephanie couldn't even manage to make it at that level--she tried to be a pop star, and a swimwear designer, and all to pretty much no avail. She's been most interested in her life in the circus, which is clear sign she's unhappy with her lot and wants to run away.

Caroline at least could substitute for her mother for a decade or two after she died, which gave her more of a purpose; but now her father is dead and Albert married, she lost that role.

They got Rainier's coarse facial features. The girls did anyway. Albert looked like Grace more than the girls. But he hasn't aged well either. Caroline was pretty when she was younger, bit hardly in her mother's league. She always looked like a sexy chipmunk.

That kind of angular, androgynous look was very much en vogue in the early-to-mid-80's. Just look at the magazines such as The Face or I-D from around 1984-1985.

Obviously a dedicated skier, those resorts like Zermatt and Gstaad are filed with rich, leathery looking women who spend every minute they are there in the harsh, unfiltered mountain sunlight. The locals are wise to the fact that the UV rays up there are killer to ones looks and they never look like that. Fergie was starting to look leathery like that but has treated the damage to some extent.

I didn’t know she was a skier, she seemed more the yacht and beach type. But yes, the sun destroyed her face. That and cigarettes.

Charlotte is gorgeous, but she will probably not age well. She reminds me of a young Brooke Shields who went from stunning to average within a short period of time.

Charlotte looks like her mother, who was stunning in her youth. But both Caroline and Stephanie follow the diet of too much sun, too many cigarettes, too much booze, and not enough food. I fully expect Charlotte will follow suit. As for Stephanie’s daughter being a little zaftig, I believe she’s a competitive swimmer so a lot of that might be muscle. Either way, she’s laughing to the bank because I’m sure there will be Grimaldi money for her when she reaches adulthood.
