Are Princess Eugenie and Pub Boss Boyfriend Finally Engaged?
by Anonymous | reply 32 | January 26, 2018 6:50 AM |
I was expecting this last year but nevertheless I hope it is true.

Eugenie looks depressed. Jack is never seen holding her hand.

[R2] I'd say Eugenie looks slightly pensive not depressed.

The Middletons and Pippa's boyfriend seemed to present a more unified front even after dating only a few months. While Fergie, Bea, Eug and Jack just scampered out of the eatery into their cars after the couple (Eug and Jack) marking 8 long years of dating.
Kind of odd for Fergie who loves nothing more than being photographed like she's a guest of honour at every function.

I'm not sure that Fergie does love being photographed nowadays [R5]

Eugenie looks perfectly decent when she doesn't wear those ridiculous fascinators and high-hemmed expensive dresses. (You cannot say the same thing about poor Beatrice, who is really a mutt.)
If I were she, I would do as Prince Charles would like, and relinquish my title (which will get her nothing in life); and I would stop dressing up so ridiculously for those huge family events. She's going to be loaded for the rest of her life anyway given how much money Andrew was given in her father's will, and the public doesn't care for her or her sister and doesn't want to look at them. Since she's going to have tons of money anyway, losing the title and the rides in the carriages would be more than worth losing the wearisome public duties and negative press attention, and would also be worth gaining Charles's good will.

Who the fuck wants Charles’ goodwill?

Sensible recommendation, r9. Too sensible, in fact.
Fergie has this unhealthy obsession with being a "royal" and seems hell-bent on pushing the 2 York girls into a role for which Charles (and the courtiers) find them either superfluous or ill-suited or both.
The fundamental issue is that Fergie is not independently wealthy like Diana so is hanging onto the "royal family teat" for dear life especially as she has no marital prospects herself. (All this talk about remarrying her "bestest friend" Andrew is just Fergie trying to keep her "long-faded dream alive").
Eugenie and Beatrice have not had good role models in the sense of a parent to "read the tea leaves" like Princess Anne did and remove the royal titles for her children thereby freeing Zara and Mark Phillips to forge their own identities and career ambitions outside the royal enclave.
The Yorks girls live in a fantasy world. The same fantasy world promulgated by "Duchess" Sarah Ferguson. As their cousins continue getting married, have babies, and get on with their lives, the bealeaguered York girls appear to be sad vestiges of a time gone by when princesses were eagerly courted, married off to other princely suitors to continue the family lineage.
My question relates to what is Andrew's role in all this? He seems checked out from his ex-wife, rarely seen socializing in public with his daughters except on formal occasions.
I agree with r8, Fergie doesn't seem "ready for prime time" lately when it comes to being photographed.

[R11] It's actually more Prince Andrew who is pushing for the girls to have a royal role not Fergie who seems to get blamed for everything.

This is a bit of a sidebar, but after watching The Windsors on Netflix, Beatrice and Eugenie are by far my favourite characters.

I would agree, r14. The Bea and Eug characters are the funniest.
Bea: "I think we need to get a job"
Eug: "What's a job?"
Bea: "I think it's something where you go into a building."
Eug: "What should we do?"
Bea: (pause)
Eug: "I've got make-up!"
Love it!!!

Which actresses play them please [R14]?
by Anonymous | reply 16 | January 11, 2018 12:41 AM |
They both are, r12. Fergie is just more crass - Andrew doesn't hang with the daughters. Fergie is the one parading them girls at the most ridiculous events such as The Cannes Film Festival. That was a classic Fergie.

Here's the link to the entire Windsors cast, r16.
Ellie White as Beatrice
Katy Wix as Fergie
Celeste Dring as Eugenie

Cheers [R18]
[R17] Behind the scenes lobbying and arguing which is were real avenues of influence are attempted is were Prince Andrew is pushing for a royal role for his girls not at appearing at events like Cannes. One of the Queens advisors who was advocating pushing out the York sisters has left his role after a clash with Andrew.

It's hard to find the Bea and Eug "The Windsors" on YouTube. But here's a funny episode, r14.

"given how much money Andrew was given in her father's will"
Who's that, R9?

Yeah, I didn't that either, r21.

Princess Anne was very smart to do this, because Peter and Zara grew up to be well-adjusted adults with fulfilling lives that are separate from the Royal Family.
Peter is allegedly the Queen's favorite grandchild. And Zara was blessed by Mother Nature to not look anything like her mother.

R15 - my favourite line was "Is there a nought missing?"
I love them.

That scene used to be on YouTube but it's been taken down unfortunately, r14.
The best part was when Fergie appears at the restaurant in the same scene with "her girls" and bemoans the latest royal social snub. Eug says, "Don't worry mummy, we'll get you in!"
Then Fergie turns around, spots the restaurant owner and mumbles that she owes him money so she makes a mad dash for the exit. Only to return back to the table in a split second once she realizes she's left a freebie behind, grabs the opened bottle of wine, then makes for a dash again."
Priceless!

My fans have said I should do a double role and stretch my god given talents. I'm not sure if I have the acting chops to pull it off. But I'm willing to try as they insist.
