Kathleen Turner is so good here. Patty Hearst sucks as usual but that might've been what Waters was going for.
And this has to be Suzanne Somers' best work ever!

John Waters gave Patty Hearst, a bank robber who supported a terrorist organization that killed at least one person, parts in his movies. If Leslie Van Houten gets out of prison, he'll no doubt give her, his dear friend, a role in a movie, too. He'll also escort her to parties and premieres; the poor dear needs all the fun and enjoyment she can get having been cooped up in that nasty prison for so long. John Waters is as idiot as they come.

This was one of my most favorite movies. Kathleen really was great in that role. She should have won an Oscar.
