I ordered some lifts, will people be able to tell I'm wearing them?
Is it obvious when a guy wears lifts in his shoes?

No, it's not obvious that you're wearing lifts. However, the lifts will raise your heels, creating the possibility that your heels will slip out of your shoes randomly.
If you haven't worn elevated shoes or lifts, be sure to practice walking in them. It's a lot like wearing high heels.

Tammy C wears lifts

Thanks, R1!

I found them to be quite unnoticeable while filming Casablanca, OP. I say, give 'em a try!

Mickey?
by Anonymous | reply 5 | December 29, 2017 5:53 AM |
Lifts are less obvious than shoes with heels/platforms.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | December 29, 2017 2:39 PM |
You'll have to wear only lifts from then on.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | December 29, 2017 3:20 PM |
Why would guys wear lifts? I mean, if you're wearing them to add some height to attract people, won't they realize you're shorter when you hop out of your shoes?
by Anonymous | reply 8 | December 29, 2017 9:06 PM |
I'm very tall r1. If I put the lifts under my toes, will I look shorter?
by Anonymous | reply 9 | December 29, 2017 9:16 PM |
R8, OP wears her shoes when she’s getting fucked. It’s her thing.

A faux sable 'Mink' always complements 'Kitten' heels -

I was just wondering if men still wear lifts.
I'm 5'8 and have realized that almost no one cruises me when I wear my regular flat shoes. When I wear my boots, which gives me about 1-2 more inches, I'm constantly cruised.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | December 29, 2017 9:31 PM |
It's fairly obvious when celebs wear lifts because they pose for photos at events. I find it funny. Are actors really shorter like people say? 6ft is average for men, so are male actors really trying to look 6'5"?
by Anonymous | reply 13 | December 29, 2017 9:33 PM |
We would take actors' measurements but ask for their height and weight. Women always lied about their weight and men always about their height.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | December 29, 2017 9:48 PM |
R13, the average height for men in the US is 5'9.5".
by Anonymous | reply 15 | December 29, 2017 9:49 PM |
Can you wear lifts with regular shoes or do you need special shoes?
by Anonymous | reply 16 | December 29, 2017 9:53 PM |
The ones I ordered can be used with regular shoes, R16.
I'm not getting them to try and attract anyone. I'm 5'5, not that short, but I have a small frame so some people seem to think I'm a kid. A couple of extra inches might make me look more my age.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | December 29, 2017 10:06 PM |
My brother is 5'2" with a petite frame, op/ r17. It can be pretty tough to be a guy and be that small.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | December 29, 2017 10:18 PM |
It really depends how much your day look is similar to your usual evening look.
Because in the latter your lifts are rather noticeable.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | December 29, 2017 10:22 PM |
They're gonna know something was up when your feet are in the air OP!
by Anonymous | reply 20 | December 29, 2017 10:30 PM |
That's only to make shorter guys feel better r15. Guys 5'11" - 6' are the real average, look around you.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | December 29, 2017 10:36 PM |
Is 5'11- 6' really the average, R21?
by Anonymous | reply 22 | December 30, 2017 1:15 AM |
LOL! I thought we were talking about "helium heals",whether or not obvious!
by Anonymous | reply 23 | December 30, 2017 1:18 AM |
Yes, r22.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | December 30, 2017 1:27 AM |
Helium doesn't heal r23......
by Anonymous | reply 25 | December 30, 2017 1:28 AM |
Short people problems...out of curiosity, how do you figure lifts will make you appear "more your age"?
by Anonymous | reply 26 | December 30, 2017 1:38 AM |
The average height for males in the USA used to be taller but with the influx of Asians and Latinos it has dropped a few inches over the last few decades.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | December 30, 2017 1:45 AM |
r17, if you think 5'5 is not that short, you're delusional.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | December 30, 2017 1:49 AM |
There’s nothing wrong with being short so long as you’re a bottom.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | December 30, 2017 1:52 AM |
I used to wear them occasionally. It was fun being over 6’ now and then. They’re not noticeable unless you take them off in front of someone. They killed my arches after a while, though.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | December 30, 2017 1:54 AM |
R21, your sister is Brobdignangian. The average male height in the US has never been 6 feet.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | December 30, 2017 2:09 AM |
Brobdingnagian
by Anonymous | reply 32 | December 30, 2017 2:17 AM |
OP is a little light in his loafers. .
by Anonymous | reply 33 | December 30, 2017 3:11 AM |
Nah R21. It wouldn’t be so hard to find clothes in stores if that were true. Large and XL just get wider. You pretty much have to wear floods, order online or buy the bigger sizes and sag them lower on your waist.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | December 30, 2017 3:30 AM |
You can have mine after I've finished filming this movie with short-ass Pacino, OP.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | December 30, 2017 3:34 AM |
You could just carry an apple box around with you, OP.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | December 30, 2017 3:36 AM |
Is that photshopped, r36?
by Anonymous | reply 37 | December 30, 2017 7:07 PM |
Were they hard to walk in, R30?
by Anonymous | reply 38 | December 31, 2017 11:56 PM |
Sometimes it’s better to just own your natural height.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | January 1, 2018 12:14 AM |
I don't understand how those actors can wear them when they know that they are going to be photographed. Who do they think they're fooling?
by Anonymous | reply 40 | January 1, 2018 1:18 AM |
De Niro is playing a 6’4” mob goon in that movie. He’s wearing them because the character needs to tower over Pacino, not due to his insecurity.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | January 1, 2018 1:24 AM |
No one will ever know, OP.

[quote] Can you wear lifts with regular shoes or do you need special shoes?
You can, but you'll have to wear shoe's a size or 2 bigger than you normally wear or it will be too tight. Also, they should be high-top type shoes; with loafers and such, the top of your heel will stick out.
Still, it's best to get the specially made shoes from Richlee Elevator Shoes or the company R1 linked. Even then, better to get the high-top ones.
My ex wore them. You can't tell. True, if you're on a date and later take off your shoes, it will be noticeable that your'e not taller, but most people are shorter when they're barefoot anyway, just from the normal heels on shoes. Your date will just assume it's from that.
by Anonymous | reply 45 | March 17, 2018 6:11 PM |
Lifts are just stupid, and make you look very insecure and/or desperate for attention. Just avoid them.
I'm a tall guy, 6'2", and find shorter guys very attractive.
