Gay rom-com? Has there been one that's not utter crap? If so, I haven't seen one since The Wedding Banquet from Ang Lee.
If you haven't seen Pride, it's fun. Not a rom-com, but upbeat, historically accurate for the most part, and well-made.

I just watched call me by my name and i didn't like it cuz the end it wasn't what i was expecting. Im really tired of gay movies cuz they all end up in tragedy. I wonder why film directors like so much to do that shit to gay movies, gay folks are already starting to get very pissed off because of that.

Another reco for The Fourth Man - analogue to a Hallmark rom-com movie but still a notch above “Make The Yuletide Gay”.

Thanks for the tip about Hulu. I’m watching Paris 05:59 as I type. So far all the plot is hardcore gay sex in a club with electronic dance music.

@R20 the first 20 minutes are only hardcore sex. It gets really interesting after that. Slow, but interesting.

Kanopy has a Chinese gay-themed rom-com from a few years ago called "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow?" if you are into foreign-language movies. It's about a married man with a child who comes out as gay and is sweet if a little stereotypical.

Fourth Man Out sounds ideal for what you are looking for, OP.
I also have to recommend, as I often do on these types of threads, the film Ander. I don't understand how this film gets no attention, not only is it a brilliant film but it also has one of the rarest things in gay cinema: a truly happy ending.

"Afterglow" - 1997
Though the film's premise isn't necessarily "Gay," Johnny Lee Miller is gorgeous (hint); Lara Flynn Boyle's character, as his neglected wife (hint), is her best performance, ever; and Julie Christie should have won the Oscar.
The film's soundtrack to convey all is heartbreaking.

R6 I watched an HD quality video of 'Doors Cut Down' with English subtitles at vk.com. I just checked, and it's still there. (Put up by user "Eric Summers.") This is a Russian social-media website. I think you have to join and set up an account with an email & cell number, so you may not want to go this route.

There is no way the actor with curls is straight R53. I don't know about the other, but I imagine in order to have real gay sex on screen both guys were at least bisexuals.

Maybe I’m wrong but I think it’s hot if both actor are straight in 559 Paris.
I’m watching You Kill Me. I tried to watch it before didn’t make an impression on me. The acting seems a little off and the lead actor is trying too hard to act gay. I’m liking it today but I wish it had some nudity.

Matthew is not "cute". He's handsome, goodlooking, whatever. He is an adult male and adult males are not "cute". (Are you a 14 year old girl in middle school, R56?)

I watched A Very Sordid Wedding on Hulu today and was pleasantly surprised. It had pretty shitty ratings online so I wasn't expecting much, but it kept me entertained. The writer clearly has a thing for frau/Xtian humor. I'd recommend it to anyone who watched Sordid Lives.

All the women in it were great, actually. The weakest link was the gay son, who over-acted and as a result made it feel like a cheaper movie than it really was. They could have found someone better.

I liked Handsome Devil but thought the title character was a little too perfect. By contrast, there was nothing at all special or unique about the main character, who I was secretly rooting for, which was disappointing as I also liked the main actor. Even the teacher, who is supposed to be a mentor type character, appears weak at the end. Good for a one time watch I suppose.

From Afar, despite being ponderously slow, is captivating due to the beauty of the young actor playing the hustler type character. It's a wish fulfillment type fantasy film in the guise of being an art film. Good up until the very end which is a downer.

Most gay movies are depressing; many focus on AIDS. However, "Beautiful Thing" is a more recent movie about two high-school aged kids in Britain who fall in love with each other. It's fun, sweet, quirky, and funny.
