by Anonymousreply 85January 18, 2018 4:24 AM

i don't give a shit

by Anonymousreply 1December 12, 2017 12:27 AM

Cannot wait. The best performer and the hardest working woman in entertainment. I can't imagine the past 35 years without her, her music is the soundtrack to my life.

by Anonymousreply 2December 12, 2017 12:33 AM

YAY!

by Anonymousreply 3December 12, 2017 12:45 AM

I've seen a lot of concerts before over 30 years and there is NOTHING that comes close to the terrific spectacle Madonna always provides in her concerts. No one even comes close.

by Anonymousreply 4December 12, 2017 1:05 AM

Except she didn’t say this.

Thread closed.

by Anonymousreply 5December 12, 2017 1:11 AM

Please God no. Isn't it time for her American songbook album?

by Anonymousreply 6December 12, 2017 1:13 AM

Her contribution to pop music cannot be denied, but it's 30 years stale at this point. She's otiose.

by Anonymousreply 7December 12, 2017 1:16 AM

She had an amazing run, but For years she has been releasing sub par music that dilutes her catalog.

by Anonymousreply 8December 12, 2017 1:22 AM

During her recent appearance on THAT "ABC morning show," she'd hinted at the release of new music/tour in 2018, saying, "I'll be back, baby."

She wasn't there merely because she was bored, with nothing else to occupy her time.

by Anonymousreply 9December 12, 2017 1:23 AM

Yeah, what r5 said. Writers make up headlines now to get clicks. It's irritating.

by Anonymousreply 10December 12, 2017 2:06 AM

How many more records and tours does she have to deliver to fulfil her LiveNation contract?

by Anonymousreply 11December 12, 2017 2:08 AM

Blowing Up The White House tour

by Anonymousreply 12December 12, 2017 2:19 AM

I hope she doesn't go all fado on this album.

by Anonymousreply 13December 12, 2017 2:29 AM

OP, do they provide a section for fans to park their scooters?

by Anonymousreply 14December 12, 2017 2:48 AM

Her black son will DJ onstage; she will display her new skill of playing the bagpipes; she will open with "Vogue"; Ariana Grande will join her onstage for a scandalous kiss; she'll show her ass in Yugoslavia; lots of guest rap stars on all the songs.

by Anonymousreply 15December 12, 2017 2:51 AM

I hope she’s political and rebellious.

by Anonymousreply 16December 12, 2017 2:52 AM

Will she bring her famous friends on stage and pretend to sexually violate them with a banana?

by Anonymousreply 17December 12, 2017 2:55 AM

The Cement Ass Revolution 2018!!!

by Anonymousreply 18December 12, 2017 3:00 AM

Yummy pussy!

by Anonymousreply 19December 12, 2017 3:01 AM

Drowned World was the best show I've seen.

by Anonymousreply 20December 12, 2017 3:03 AM

She originally signed a 3 album deal with Interscope/Live Nation. So the next album will be the last one in the deal unless she renews her contract. Some people think her leaving Warner was a huge mistake.

by Anonymousreply 21December 12, 2017 3:06 AM

Can she please make an album that's not so fucking desperate. She hasn't had a good one since Confessions.

by Anonymousreply 22December 12, 2017 3:12 AM

Warner had the best producers, song writers, marketing, advertising, creative designers, videographers, PR, and an endless influx of capital. She's been lost ever since.

(Even Massive Attack worked with her during the Warner years: "Something to Remember.")

Delicious pussy!

by Anonymousreply 24December 12, 2017 3:17 AM

R23, she's fucking Madonna. Let's not fool ourselves that she doesn't have access to the best people. I think it's time to admit she's the main problem. Her creativity has taken a hit and now she's comes across as a step behind rather than a step ahead of everyone else.

by Anonymousreply 25December 12, 2017 3:18 AM

I just checked the top of the iTunes chart to see who she will duet with: Ed Sheehan, Post Malone, and Camilla Cabello. How exciting!

by Anonymousreply 26December 12, 2017 3:27 AM

Yawn. Unlike some of her contemporaries she is way past her sell-by date, She needs to retire and age gracefully.

by Anonymousreply 27December 12, 2017 3:34 AM

She'll probably do something "edgy" with that "I Make MOOONNEY Moves" chick. I forget her name.

Anyway, it'll be fun to see what she comes up with. I mean, she's Madonna

by Anonymousreply 28December 12, 2017 3:38 AM

Which contemporaries, r27?

by Anonymousreply 29December 12, 2017 3:41 AM

Contemporaries: Cyndi Lauper, Stacey Q, Martika

by Anonymousreply 30December 12, 2017 3:51 AM

I love how Madonna's success makes her haters SEETHE.

She ain't going anywhere, twats.

by Anonymousreply 31December 12, 2017 4:02 AM

What R22 said x 100

by Anonymousreply 32December 12, 2017 4:04 AM

I'm sure she longs for the career of Stacey Q and Martika.

by Anonymousreply 33December 12, 2017 4:04 AM

Isn’t she fat now?

by Anonymousreply 34December 12, 2017 4:05 AM

Yeah, she's pretty portly right now. The excess baggage is sitting on her front porch (belly fat).

by Anonymousreply 35December 12, 2017 4:13 AM

Screw new music. No one wants to hear new Madonna music. Do a Greatest Hits Tour with NO filler, retire and wait for someone to discover groundbreaking progress in plastic surgery for hands.

by Anonymousreply 36December 12, 2017 4:14 AM

Neely's fat again.

by Anonymousreply 37December 12, 2017 4:14 AM

Her music career is over. Her film career was linked to Weinstein who she publicly called a god. She hasn’t had a hit in a decade on any continent. Her shows aren’t breaking any records anymore. Each one sells less than the previous. They sell well for the year but there’s hardly any competition. She’s a novelty act. She sells QVC style face cream now for Christ’s sake. She seems to enjoy being with her family finally and getting fat. She’ll probably fade more and more away as time goes by.

by Anonymousreply 38December 12, 2017 4:17 AM

Her move to Live Nation didn't make any sense. They're not a record company and don't promote music. They promote concerts. She didn't need to sign up with them to make a lot of concert money. All she had to do was tour. The only person who benefited from the deal was her manager who got a percentage of the millions Madonna got upfront.

by Anonymousreply 39December 12, 2017 4:25 AM

Get back to her dance roots. Make us dance again. Another Hung Up and Confessions please.

by Anonymousreply 40December 12, 2017 4:36 AM

Will this be her last hurrah?

Or the final fizzle?

by Anonymousreply 41December 12, 2017 4:40 AM

R39, there is not much money to be made in churning out music these days. The money is in touring, and Madonna had all that figured out years before the rest of the world caught on.

by Anonymousreply 42December 12, 2017 4:40 AM

r38: Seethe, Twat, Seethe.

by Anonymousreply 43December 12, 2017 4:42 AM

Yeah, R38....R43 is right. You sound really ridiculous.

by Anonymousreply 44December 12, 2017 4:44 AM

She's been trying to diversify in other-than-music ventures for years, with mixed results.

by Anonymousreply 45December 12, 2017 4:46 AM

And while you’re at it, fuck Martika!

by Anonymousreply 46December 12, 2017 4:50 AM

R45, Madonna owns shares in so many companies you can't even count them up.

by Anonymousreply 47December 12, 2017 5:04 AM

R39: Madonna is basically a legacy act now — her major income stream is through concert appearances, and not through record sales or endorsements. Live Nation is the world’s premier concert promoter. No one today can support a touring artist like Live Nation. Of course it made perfect sense that she align her career with them.

by Anonymousreply 48December 12, 2017 5:05 AM

Most likely her major stream of investments in the stock market are her major streams of income. She doesn't have to tour, she loves to do it.

by Anonymousreply 49December 12, 2017 5:14 AM

This next album will be her last.

by Anonymousreply 50December 12, 2017 5:49 AM

R50, you must be thinking of Janet Jackson who somehow got her husband to put up the money for her last failed album because no recording studio wanted to lose money on it.

by Anonymousreply 51December 12, 2017 5:51 AM

R48 is funny. You can tell he's never been to a Madonna concert.

When Madonna tours, she is touring to sell her latest album---always.

No nostalgia here. Of course she samples from her previous hits, weaves them into her newer songs in a most unusually original way. Yes, the bigger hits like Vogue---she does give them more attention but she never sings the whole song through anymore. Why? Because although Madonna knows her fans want to witness her sing the oldies and wants to please them with a modified selection of her old platinum hits---she is much more in tune with singing her new songs.

This is why everyone loves a Madonna concert. The enormous spectacle of it all--bigger and better than Broadway or Cirque du Soleil, her shows stand alone in stagecraft, production, and music. This is why Madonna has lasted over 30 years and we love her still.

R52 TBH i would love to witness a Madonna show without all that pageantry. Just her and a group of musicians that know a large amount of her back catalogue, so they can rotate through various songs a bit, and keep it a little interesting and fresh with each new show.

by Anonymousreply 54December 12, 2017 6:14 AM

I can't imagine what she'll come up with next - after all, she's anything but reductive, R53!

Offsite Link
by Anonymousreply 55December 12, 2017 6:15 AM

I love Madonna but she needs to go away.

by Anonymousreply 56December 12, 2017 6:18 AM

R56 Why? People like Cher and Tina Turner continued to put out new music as they aged. What if Madonna put out a more mellow record like Confessions or Something to Remember, and stopped wearing grills?

by Anonymousreply 57December 12, 2017 6:22 AM

Nobody pays $400 per ticket to watch her lipsync to “Ghost Town” or her other shitty recent songs. They pay that money in the hope that she’ll dazzle with an exciting rendition of “Material Girl” or “Vogue.”

But Madonna is too prideful to admit that she’s a nostalgia act. So she insists on performing the new stuff and barely acknowledes the hit songs from the 80s that built her career and fanbase.

Yet the fans keep buying tickets so why should she change her shows?

by Anonymousreply 58December 12, 2017 3:52 PM

How many notes will she sing live?

by Anonymousreply 59December 12, 2017 3:56 PM

Who would want to put up with this kind of unprofessionalism - She's a disgrace!

[quote] “No selfish diva bitch reason. If you diva bitches want to keep complaining about it don’t come to my show.”

I hope they take her advice, as many have done.

by Anonymousreply 61December 12, 2017 4:17 PM

She's disgustingly overpriced and unprofessional as hell, lately. So no, I wouldn't see her unless MAYBE she was doing a Greatest Hits/Goodbye tour. Take a Bow, bitch!

by Anonymousreply 62December 12, 2017 6:59 PM

She makes great pop music. But man, does she look like a frump without taste in that pink frock which is probably some $5K designer thing.

by Anonymousreply 63December 12, 2017 7:47 PM

Amature...

by Anonymousreply 64December 12, 2017 8:08 PM

I want to thank R60 for pulling his tongue out of some trucker's ass at the rest stop long enough to tell us all what a "disgrace" Madonna is.

by Anonymousreply 65December 12, 2017 10:06 PM

R64,

Oh! My word!

by Anonymousreply 66December 12, 2017 10:07 PM

Stop agreeing with yourself r55, you predictable twat.

by Anonymousreply 69December 13, 2017 4:24 AM

Is Janet's "tour" still going on or has she cancelled it?

by Anonymousreply 70December 15, 2017 9:25 PM

Madonna's costs are extremely high.

by Anonymousreply 71December 15, 2017 9:43 PM

I'd rather pay top dollar for an excellent worth-while show than pay for a bargain-bin Groupon loser show which would likely be cancelled, and I'd have to fight for a refund. Madonna is worth every dollar, I havnt missed a tour in years.

by Anonymousreply 72December 15, 2017 10:01 PM

Two predictions, take them as you will:

1. Madonna and Lady Gaga will finally collaborate, either on an entire project or just an attention-grabbing song/video/performance. "Bitches stick together," type of thing... especially since Gaga will be getting a ton of attention/comparisons for her big screen debut in A STAR IS BORN (which is already in the can).

2. A Broadway show of all her hits, or an ACROSS THE UNIVERSE type movie with a hot young cast in an attempt to contemporize/contextualize her catalogue for 2018 (maybe even directed by Madonna herself).

Could be wrong, but I bet one of the two will happen.

by Anonymousreply 73December 15, 2017 10:27 PM

If I was Lady Gaga, there would be no way I would do it.

by Anonymousreply 74December 15, 2017 10:39 PM

Dear God, please don't let her ever make another song with the word "bitch" in the title; or with Nikii Minaj or any other female rapper or male performer who's hot at the moment to give her street cred -- she's Madonna; she doesn't NEED street cred.

She'll never top her Madonna-only albums Ray of Light and Confessions.

by Anonymousreply 75December 15, 2017 10:44 PM

Sorry R54, but take away all the pageantry and there's not much there. Witness her Bowie tribute for example.

by Anonymousreply 79December 16, 2017 4:34 AM

Looking forward to the "radical" duet with Niki Malignancy about eating vagina.

by Anonymousreply 80December 16, 2017 4:35 AM

Old whore whores and is, as always, an attention whore so tasteless qweens will type YAAAAS HUNTY 400 million times and hand her yet another 500 dollars for an album and tour that could have been farted out by a horse's ass.

by Anonymousreply 81January 17, 2018 8:03 PM

Madonna got old and the cracks (lack of authentic singing talent or basic music education; ripping off other artists' repeatedly under the pretense of homage -- or under no pretense at all) were revealed. The generation that grew up on singers who had to compete on singing shows (i.e. show actual vocal talent) simply does not get this woman. She was of her time and relied on cheap tactics to get attention. Top producers only wanted to work with her because they knew her music would get mainstream play and make them money. (Like Tom Ford designing for The Gap or something -- Madonna is the vacant label designed by others)

by Anonymousreply 82January 18, 2018 1:46 AM

Agree with R82. For her "Look," she's ripped off everybody from Belinda Carlisle to Alison Goldfrapp. Everybody knows this. What is a mystery is how the hell does she manage to hook up with the hottest producers of the moment: Jelly Bean Benitez to Nile Rodgers to Shep Pettibone to Massive Attack to Mirwais?
