What are "congresssional members"? Congressmen?
by Anonymous | reply 2 | December 8, 2017 1:58 AM |
Let me guess... the GOPers will sail on united no matter what is exposed while the DEMs will backstab their own people on some filmsy accusation for some moral highground that brings no gain whatsoever.

Good. I hope the Republicans have to at least live through the bad publicity, one man after another.
So how many Congressmen assaulted women? All of them? 95%? 90%?
Dems need to run women. No nasty surprises for the most part, and the women that recently ran against Trumpers won, even the inexperienced ones.

Please let it be pompous Paul Ryan. And something filthy like, "I'm still traumatized by how I looked up from my desk and, facing me, was a surreal image. It took me a moment to even understand what I was looking at. But it was two powder white buttocks. And they were spread--spread wide and far! And there was a line of hair betwixt them. Just a powder puff of dark hair, so much hair--like 70's pornbush. And then--oh, and then!--inside that hair-filled crack were two fingers buried in the chocolate starfish, up to the third knuckle. The third knuckle! And then he turned to me--Paul Ryan, and said, 'Do me for your country.'"

For clarity and Civics 101, Congress is made up of two houses: The Senate and the House of Represenrarives. Members of the Senate are called Senators. Members of the HoR are called Congressmen because House Member sounds too vague. Sometimes they all fit under Congressmen. You have to read it in context.

No, it won't. The media has served up its political scapegoat/target for the public's outrage in the form of Franken. The rest will simply be more of the same, albeit without the same level of outrage. In the end, the public won't remember Moore or Smith or Jones. But they will remember Franken. In the end, sexual harassment continues in government, academia, entertainment, the media and the established Churches every single hour of every single day committed by those who are well aware that they are immune to public scrutiny.

The Republicans will shrug and go back to their business.

Tell me more. Burr is a deplorable, no doubt, he's just not as outspoken about it as most. His ads were the essence of GOP hypocrisy during the 2016 election cycle. (e.g. He made a big deal of his opponent getting a tax break for renovating a historic property to use for her office and home--a meager tax write off used to encourage redevelopment of run down property--while giving a complete pass to the tax-evader running for president on the GOP side.)

It's obviously no Sanders but it's hilarious how many Hillbots wish it were. Sanders is the biggest progressive figure we have, the most popular active politician in the moment, but you want to sink that because HILLARY. No one would benefit from this outside the GOP. But you want it anyway.
Hillbottomism is really a dumb ass cult.
Also, while Bernie has, for all we known, a spotless record in his treatment of women, Hillary is implicated in her husband's sex offenses. Suck on that.
by Anonymous | reply 88 | December 8, 2017 4:45 PM |
[quote] Bernie isn't a Congressman you morons
He is a member of congress.
Congress is bicameral. There is the House of Representatives and the senate. All are members of congress. But we call members of the house "congressional representatives" and the members of the senate "senators."
You can say "congressman" or "congresswoman" but it's easier to say "congressional rep."
House members are elected every two years and senators are elected every six years. Obviously, it's easier once you get into the senate. You only need to run every 6 years, while the house members are constantly scrambling for reelection funds. Which us why we need "campaign overhaul" NOT "tax overhaul."
Fuck tax overhaul. Throw it out. Destroy it.
Focus on Campaign Overhaul. Limits on campaign season. Three months for congress, six months for senate and president. No campaign material to be shown in television or in print outside of campaign season. No phone calls...period.
Limit on spending. $10M and you're out if you get any more than that. All campaign contributions to be available online for browsing by anyone. Anyone. No one may use money that has been kept in an offshore account of any kind.
Severe penalities for breaking campaign laws. Expulsion and lifetime ban

Anyway, no one mentioned Trent Franks from Arizona? He said he is resigning after Paul Ryan himself ratted Frank (a Tea Partier) out to the Ethics Committee. So, he basically wanted to turn an aide into a prostitute.

She rejected that offer firmly and repeatedly. How many times is an employee supposed to have to tell her boss that he cannot purchase the use of her body?

Yes, because he believes in vitro fertilization is morally wrong. So he wanted to do the Christian thing and fuck her.

[quote] Just saw today that the republican governor of Michigan is holding off on a replacement for Conyers by not having a special election until 11 months from now.
You must have misread that. When there is a vacancy in a House seat, the governor does not appoint a replacement. He can either call for a special election (like the ones earlier this year to replace House members who joined Cheetolini's cabinet) or wait until the next general election.
Governors only appoint replacements when there is a vacant Senate seat from their state.

R135, there is more to the story. He asked one woman four times. She said no four times. The last I heard, they were saying three women quit, and that’s a good job, so they weren’t quitting for the hell of it. He wouldn’t stop.
He’s also made a lot of political statements in the past that IVF is wicked and immoral and only natural conception is okay, so obviously the women realized he was talking about fucking.
And imagine he did talk one of these women into it. That woman would get every favor, the ones that refused would probably be run out or discriminated against.
He wasn’t taking no for an answer. He was claiming to everyone that would listen that he was doing it for his wife’s sake. Poor wife, she was infertile and couldn’t have kids. These employees should help his wonderful wife. Nobody even knows if his wife knew what he was pulling. He has religious hangups, so it may just be that he wanted to fuck young girls and was spinning it as, “I have to fuck young girls to make my wife happy! My poor wife! She deserves to be made happy by YOU!” Thereby trying to guilt uninterested women into fucking him to help another woman. That is manipulative and sick.
Just because women work at your job does not make them your sexual property too. They were there to do office work, not to be treated like sex slaves because they happened to be nearby.
Imagine some butt-ugly, fat, sanctimonious, religious nut sixty year old woman at your job demanded you fuck her to make her husband happy because he could not fuck. Wouldn’t you run like hell too?
He is a religious nut and probably thinks all sex must result in procreation (he is very anti abortion), so this was really an excuse to his wife to justify fucking outside the marriage. Yes, there are straight men that are that fucked up.
This guy is sixty with two kids already. He would be eighty years old with college kids. Maybe god is telling you to knock it off, buddy.
It is not nothing to carry the child of some disgusting old coot in your body for nine months, get covered in stretch marks and get saggy tits with permanently darkened nipples, then present yourself like that to future partners you actually do like and are attracted to. Plenty of men are turned off by that and the women would be putting their own futures at risk, to put it bluntly.
Women that have given birth look used. Their belly is stretched out and it doesn’t shrink back always. Their tits sag and droop. All the plastic surgery in the world can’t fix it all.
Plus, it’s not normal to get surrogates that have never had kids before. The usual criteria is a woman that has successfully had a live birth before. He just wanted to fuck them. That baby shit was an excuse for his wife to commit adultery.
Pregnancy has a risk of death. Risk your life for some disgusting pig of a religious crackpot that thinks you’re a concubine or a whore? WHY?

On twitter, they’re referring to the women he propositioned as “Oftrent,” after the style of the women in A Handmaid’s Tale,” who are reproductive sex slaves assigned against their will by the government to have sex with married men and bear their children. The infertile wives hate them, of course.
by Anonymous | reply 153 | December 9, 2017 9:26 PM |
r152, you really don't know what you are talking about do you.
I was following you until the end where you went off about how a woman would be used and undesirable after she gave birth.
FYI, those who chose to be surrogats usually do not do so for their first pregnancy. They are selected because they have given birth before and are proven to be fertile.
I would still have done it for $5 million dollars.

That is what I though of R153 that is some Handmaid's Tale bullshit. Gilead is just what the GOP would love turning this country into, and I'm not sure that they aren't.
by Anonymous | reply 155 | December 9, 2017 10:44 PM |
Obviously you’ve never heard straight men talk about this, R154. A lot of them consider women that have given birth as used or spoiled. Damaged goods. They’re disgusted by stretch marks but tell their wives to their faces they don’t care. In the locker room or bar it’s something else. There’s a lot of talk about how their vaginas are stretched out and no longer tight, like “throwing a hotdog down a hallway,” etc. Men are ruthless about women’s looks and are attracted to hot, young-looking women. Not saggy mommies.
These particular women are in Washington, and they’re probably ambitiously looking for well off husbands. Every little bit helps. And wouldn’t a lot of straight guys think there was something off about a woman having kids for the boss? Who wants to get involved with that? Something is off there.
And then there’s the religious ones, like Roy Moore, who think virginity, or at least the illusion of it, is a big deal. So being the office Oftrent would be a deal breaker for some up and coming young lawyer or political type.
Men that think it’s no big deal, think that because men are always in demand no matter the age or looks. Women have a sell by date. There’s only a few years of being prime Grade-A pussy and this guy wanted to steal those few years away.

R153, Offred, not Offrent.
by Anonymous | reply 157 | December 9, 2017 10:59 PM |
There are obviously a lot of guys who don't care that a woman has had kids, as I can't think of a single woman I know who had kids, got divorced or widowed, and didn't get another husband within a few years.
The power player guys who think they are bringing something unique to the table, basically the boring hetero equivalent of A Gays ("A Straights?"), get very picky about their arm candy. It's part of their branding. If their first wives can pass as well put-together and hot they'll keep them unless they get to a certain level of wealth/fame. Celebrities well into their 70s will want someone who hasn't had kids, who isn't perimenopausal yet, and who looks at the very least pretty -- I'm thinking Shatner, Dick Van Dyke, Rod Stewart, Neil Diamond, and Terry Jones though maybe Jones was only in his 60s when he traded in for a younger model.
Then you get the Mick Jaggers who are looking for sluts, but that's also part of their branding. Those sluts can't have had kids, though.

Maybe the story is still being worked on.
