There really wasn't much advertising for the cruise line (at least that I noticed) and if their intent was to get me to want to go on one of their cruises, they failed miserably. I have a hard time imagining anywhere else on earth I'd feel more out of place than aboard that ship. Reminds me of when a friend and I went to the White Party in Palm Springs one year. We felt so out of place. It's like we were looking into a fish tank with a lot of crazy multicolored fishes. Nothing that was going on clicked with us. It actually made me kind of sad. I'm not sure why. Maybe because I realized I wasn't a member of the tribe.

It's like a visit at a Disney theme park. It can be fun with the right people at your side for a little while but getting tedious when you are alone (or not with the right people at your side) and / or stay for too long.

Sad depressing movie. Lonely guys from various countries flock to this once-a-year gay cruise (organized by an event production company who charters a cruise ship). Trying to escape their repressed environment, attempting to look and act in order to fit in some mythical tribe, or their perceptions of what it might be.

Documentary is produced by a German company with a lot of broken English dialogue, feels like we’re missing lots of the original message. Almost felt like a throwback to old Yahoo chatrooms at certain parts of the day.

Was this really a documentary though? The shots all seemed too perfectly set up with a static camera angle, and the film has a writer. Do most documentaries have writers?

I get that, but this "film" had no narration at all. So...just curious what needed to be written if it was truly a documentary, as Netflix suggests.

These sorts of things belong to another time and place. Theres no reason now to have exclusive gay anything,according to the young people today. If I still partied,even as a fat 56 year old,Id jump right in to a cruise like that. I loved it and cried a little at the end. I loved all their flawed bodies and open desire for love, sex and to have fun. I'd like to have seen more about the friendships that sustained them but otherwise thought it was a really accurate account of gay life. Perhaps for some people it was a little too close to the bone?

A little bit of sex, R65. I feel a little cold after it. Was hoping it'd be more Love Boat and exploring the ship and character interactions. It's more earnest than that. I get the idea: we all have stereotypes about the people on a cruise like this, so it was a serious effort to humanize the subjects. Some nice film work; I liked the shots of the guys lined up, party shots, nice they flew a drone straight above the boat. But it all came off a little dour and for most of the dudes it was an oddly sexless environment. Maybe if the subjects had been more interesting or if I was less familiar with their gripes. Though the Indian guy and the French dude in the wheelchair were ok. But pretty sure some of it was boring.

The dude with the blonde hair & the ear gauges had a great ass & surprisingly nice body. Too bad about the ear gauges though.
