He's back! Joan Collins' son Sacha Newley slams dead father as ''Paedophile!''

I read that earlier. The article just makes the broad accusation without any supporting specifics. I don't think it's enough that he wrote "The Candy Man Can".

Anthony Newley was a real talent -- a terrific singing voice and co-composer of "The Roar of The Greasepaint" and "Stop the World", among other things. Apparently his ego really was out of control when he did that "Heirnoymous Merkin" X-rated film (I've seen clips and you do see his ass in it). It's pretty bad, though the musical number with him appearing naked with his clothed wife Joan Collins is kind of fun. But he apparently really used that film as some sort of therapy and by having his entire family in the film, messed up his marriage. Why is the son coming out with this now? He has a book to sell probably. Tony Newley singing his number "Dr. Dolittle" like "Beautiful Things" is a better way to remember him.

He co-wrote some great songs including the timeless ""Feelin' Good" and he was charismatic... but I wouldn't say he has a terrific singing voice.

The son also slagged off Joan for being a bad mother. He said she was never around for the kids because she was either working or going to parties. He mentioned something about how Joan moved to America to make some money and she was so broke that she had to go an try to get on some type of assistance (possibly welfare). He went on to mention that the welfare office woman told Joan that it would take a few weeks before she would receive her first check. Joan went out to the parking lot and sat in her gold mercedes and had a fit

And after slagging off Joan for being a bad parent in his book, the newest article about the book reveals he isn't a part of his 13 yr old daughter's life

but that's because he is devoting time to his craft, r11, so that he can be a fulfilled artist, which he believes is better for his daughter

God, what an insufferable douche. Who does this turd think is interested enough in a C-lister from 50 years ago to actually buy his lame book?

Except in CMBYN the 17 year old looked 14; and the 24 year old looked 40.

The 17 year old looked 17, R19. I would agree that the 24 year old looked considerably older.

But point being that some outrage and/or concern seems to be applied in very inconsistent ways, depending on gender/sexuality/race etc.
