Ryan Murphy Fox Drama ‘9-1-1’

Angela Bassett, Connie Britton, and Peter Krause work as members of various branches of Los Angeles’ emergency response teams. Premieres January 3, 2018.

I'm so happy to see Krause on my TV again but using animal cruelty as a joke gets this an immediate no from me, unfortunately.

Your thoughts on the trailer, the cast, the name of the series...?

Kill all snakes!!

by Anonymousreply 2November 15, 2017 11:49 PM

Omg Peter Krause aging so badly

by Anonymousreply 3November 16, 2017 12:25 AM

Wow, an EMT show. How original.

by Anonymousreply 4November 16, 2017 1:35 AM

Yeah, I’m a Ryan Murphy show fan but I can’t endure network cop shows and doctor shows and lawyer shows. This one will have to get amazing reviews for me to get on board.

by Anonymousreply 5November 16, 2017 1:46 AM

Procedurals are a CBS thing. This will not end well for Fox

by Anonymousreply 6November 16, 2017 1:48 AM

OP, thank you for searching before creating a thread

by Anonymousreply 7November 16, 2017 2:04 AM

Krause looked kinda hot and beefy in his uniform.

But why is he in everything fuckin' thing? Dude has been in show after show since Six Feet Under. He has literally been in a TV show for 20 years. No breaks.

by Anonymousreply 8November 16, 2017 2:06 AM

Yeah, Fox will cancel it.

by Anonymousreply 9November 16, 2017 2:19 AM

OP, you were offended because of the suggestion they punch the snake? What a delicate snowflake you are.

by Anonymousreply 10November 16, 2017 2:40 AM

This doesn’t seem like a typical Ryan Murphy production. Doesn’t he have enough to do?

by Anonymousreply 11November 16, 2017 2:52 AM

R11 I was thinking the same thing. He already has tons of shows. Brad Falchuk is listed as co-creator so maybe he's more in charge. I don't see this show lasting more than one season. There are talented people in the cast, but procedural fans are already hooked on the CBS shows and Dick Wolf's Chicago shows on NBC.

by Anonymousreply 12November 16, 2017 3:24 AM
using animal cruelty as a joke gets this an immediate no from me, unfortunately.

OP's 16 cats and 1 ferret had no immediate comment.

by Anonymousreply 13November 16, 2017 11:58 AM

R13 Ha! I knew someone would make that joke soon enough. I hate, hate snakes but even so, I firmly believe you shouldn't use either animal abuse or animal cuteness to add dramatic weight in TV and movies. It's just a cheap trick that's discouraged in Screenwriting 101.

Also, it's just my gay self and my gay-ass parrot in my household. And that little bitch abuses [italic]me[/italic] all the time.

by Anonymousreply 14November 16, 2017 12:11 PM

Good ratings for the first episode.
“9-1-1” built on its “X-Files” lead in at 9, drawing a 1.8 and 6.8 million viewers. That marks a 29 percent jump in the demo and a 30 percent jump in total viewers. “9-1-1” was also the top-rated show of the night and the higest-rated Wednesday premiere on Fox in over a year.

Why-the-dashes.

by Anonymousreply 16January 4, 2018 6:58 PM

R16 The dashes are bothering me as well. I guess it would be difficult to promote the show if the title was written without them. Obvious solution: find a better title!

by Anonymousreply 17January 4, 2018 7:02 PM

I had no idea that Peter Krause and Lauren Graham were together.

That is a nice match - I bet they would have had attractive children if they had procreated.

by Anonymousreply 18January 4, 2018 7:08 PM

I liked the pilot. If it the ratings stay steady, it might last more than one season.

by Anonymousreply 19January 6, 2018 11:29 PM

A premature baby survives being flushed down the toilet ? Please. And doing mouth to mouth on said baby? Eww. And it was still boring.

by Anonymousreply 20January 6, 2018 11:49 PM
various branches of Los Angeles’ emergency response teams

meh. Jack Webb fished this pond. out. The most I can say is I'm more likely to someday accidentally tune into this then some random super-hero or doctor show.

by Anonymousreply 21January 6, 2018 11:55 PM

I'd rather see a reboot of Rescue 911 hosted by Betty White.

by Anonymousreply 22January 7, 2018 12:09 AM

I really enjoyed it. Peter Krause looks the best I’ve seen since the first season of Parenthood - the super short hair really helps. Angela is playing the same character she always plays. Aisha Hinds and Connie Britton were great. I think the young hothead will grow on me.

by Anonymousreply 23January 7, 2018 2:30 AM

Yeah, I would love to see Angela play some ditzy airhead for a change instead of some angry sassy no nonsense character

by Anonymousreply 24January 7, 2018 3:35 AM

In more interesting Ryan Murphy news:

American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy is thinking way past 2018. Murphy revealed during the Television Critics Association’s semi-annual press tour in Pasadena on Friday that season eight of AHS will take place in the—wait for it—future.

“All I’ll say about it is I want to go to the future — still topical, but the future, which I’ve never done,” Murphy said, according to Entertainment Weekly.

This probably means it'll be years, maybe decades, after season 7's present-day setting in Trump's America—but it could be a look at the aftermath. And even though he's keeping quiet about other details, we do know what the season is not about: outer space, as Murphy confirmed.

The writers won't start working on the script until February, but the storyline has been approved by FX. “I pitched it to [FX chief] John Landgraf today right after his TCA panel, and he loved it, but he’s asked me not to say what it is,” Murphy said. “I told him, and he fell out of his chair with joy. I think people will like it; it’s different from what we’ve done before, but I always try and do the opposite of what I’ve done on that show.”

R36 And all of them turn to shit halfway into the season because he doesn't bother finishing them but just dumps it on the co-showrunner and moves on to the next project.

R35 Angela Bassett was live-tweeting the show and I saw quite a large portion of black Twitter tuned in because of that. But they mostly commented on the shock value, which I don't think is really sustainable in the long run.

by Anonymousreply 38January 8, 2018 11:11 PM

Did you watch the show? Because the first episode featured more than “shock.”

But you clearly hate Ryan Murphy productions so it’s no surprise that you’d guess the content and assume that the show will fail.

by Anonymousreply 39January 9, 2018 12:08 AM

R39 I created this thread and yes, I've seen the first episode and it's pretty thin. I've no doubt it will be hugely successful ratings-wise but that doesn't automatically mean quality television. You really ought to know that by now, Ryan.

by Anonymousreply 40January 9, 2018 12:22 AM

Obviously it's cheaper and lazier for a Hollywood production company to just point the camera out the window and shoot a program in Los Angeles, but I also suspect another reason there have been SO MANY variations of this same show may be that giving such handjobs to the LAPD police and prosecutors helps the producers buy their way out of trouble when some underage extra makes accusations.

Having such friends has lately been very useful to Harvey.

Bidi-bidi-bidi. I can only think of one.

by Anonymousreply 55January 13, 2018 7:10 AM

Buck would never have become a firefighter.

by Anonymousreply 56January 13, 2018 7:57 AM

I'm so far unimpressed. Seems like another cop/medical drama. I was hoping with it would be more Murphy than it appears to be. We'll see.

by Anonymousreply 57January 13, 2018 9:09 AM

The uniforms are quite tight. I can't see running after a perp and tackling anyone dressed like that. Now sliding down a pole..

by Anonymousreply 58January 13, 2018 1:34 PM

The 🎢 scene was great but the rest of the episode was bleh.

by Anonymousreply 59January 14, 2018 12:22 AM

by Anonymousreply 66January 17, 2018 4:31 PM

Ryan Murphy's one of the worse things that's ever happened to scripted television.

by Anonymousreply 67January 17, 2018 4:33 PM

R62 I hope you're 12, because an adult saying "haters" would just be unbelievably pathetic.

by Anonymousreply 68January 17, 2018 4:34 PM

It's fascinating when folks use rating success as a measure of anything, given the lowest common denominator garbage that's popular on TV. And given that some really quality shows jut sank like a stone because mom and pop butt-scratcher didn't like it.

by Anonymousreply 69January 17, 2018 4:36 PM

Buck is the hot muscled dudebro we crave

by Anonymousreply 70January 17, 2018 4:53 PM

R67 No, Shonda Rhimes is much worse than Ryan Murphy.

by Anonymousreply 72January 18, 2018 1:34 AM

For some reason I like this show more than Chicago Fire or PD shows.

by Anonymousreply 73January 18, 2018 4:06 AM

I Really like this show. Peter Krause is officialy a daddy and Rockmund Dunbar is so sexy.

by Anonymousreply 74January 18, 2018 4:42 AM

How come none of you bitches told me Doug Savant is in this week's episode? His character's name is "Matt," too!

by Anonymousreply 75January 20, 2018 1:41 AM

This and Chicago Med are my semi guilty pleasures.

I’ve had a thing for Peter Krause since he made a guest appearance on Caroline In The City back in the 90s. I’d still fuck him senseless.

by Anonymousreply 76January 28, 2018 2:19 AM

Does Connie Britton get to do anything other than sit there like Uhura with an earpiece?

by Anonymousreply 77January 28, 2018 2:29 AM

Yes.

by Anonymousreply 78January 28, 2018 2:30 AM

I once said that I'd watch Connie Britton read the phone book for an hour, but even I can't watch this shit.

by Anonymousreply 79January 28, 2018 2:31 AM

They should've rebooted Rescue 911 instead.

by Anonymousreply 80January 28, 2018 5:00 AM

It reminds me of Emergency 51.

I like it. Hate that idiot Buck, though. What a moron.

by Anonymousreply 81January 28, 2018 7:31 AM

I’ll admit I enjoy it - the rescue operations are entertaining to watch. And Krause and the kid playing Buck are easy on the eyes.

by Anonymousreply 82January 28, 2018 7:35 AM

Buck is the only reason I watch.

by Anonymousreply 83January 29, 2018 1:17 AM

by Anonymousreply 95February 2, 2018 3:42 PM

by Anonymousreply 97February 3, 2018 3:40 PM

R96 is off his meds. Angela Bassett has stepped out of her comfort zone to play a pissed off, tough-as-nails character and Connie Britton can answer a phone like no other. And how can it not be believable that someone who looks like Buck would want to nail someone who looks like Connie Britton? Throw in the everyday 911 stories they've been showing like funhouses blowing off cliffs and there is your Outstanding Drama Series for 2018.

And I would blow Peter Krause until he had no semen left in his body.

by Anonymousreply 104March 10, 2018 5:37 AM

It's a guilty pleasure for me. I laugh at the pairing of young hot Buck with shrively faced Abby. The lesbian paramedic's storyline is so bad that I love it.

Is what Krause' characters blood have the same as that one woman whose blood has been used for decades and has proven invaluable and has been used for research for decades??

by Anonymousreply 108March 10, 2018 9:09 PM

Are you talking about Henrietta Lacks (the one Oprah made the movie about). R108? It wasn't her blood that was remarkable, it's that she had tissue cells that survive and can be endlessly grown in the lab without dying off, which finally permitted in-depth testing of various drugs and treatments. Before her, scientists could keep samples alive long enough to complete testing.

by Anonymousreply 109March 10, 2018 9:30 PM

I wanna blow the blond face-eating zombie.

His body was HAF, in the Full Moon WAF episode!

by Anonymousreply 110March 10, 2018 9:48 PM

Yes, R109, that's who I meant.

Thank you for the info.

by Anonymousreply 111March 11, 2018 4:35 AM

Is there any gay stuff in it?

by Anonymousreply 112March 11, 2018 10:30 PM

Peter Krause has certainly NOT had any work done.

by Anonymousreply 113March 11, 2018 10:32 PM

R112, there's only lesbian action.

Although in this past episode called "Full Moon (WAF)" there was a gay couple, and one of them had a tape worm that started crawling out of his ass because he ate too much sushi, and one of the paramedics had to pull it out of his butt.

It was really disgusting.

by Anonymousreply 114March 11, 2018 10:45 PM

R114 That's disgusting!! But also great entertainment, I bet.

by Anonymousreply 115March 11, 2018 11:07 PM

Tapeworms climbing out of a butt were funny- in 8th grade.

by Anonymousreply 116March 11, 2018 11:09 PM

I think they were just taking it from a recent story in the news R116, where something like that really happened.

Basically the face-eating zombie guy and the tapeworm guy were both real people in the news, and the show made stories out of them.

They didn't just make it up.

by Anonymousreply 117March 11, 2018 11:13 PM

r116 Entertainment doesn't necessarily mean "funny". People often enjoy watching something for its shock value.

by Anonymousreply 118March 11, 2018 11:18 PM

The boyfriend of the tapeworm guy was on Firefly with Nathan Fillion and deplorable Adam Baldwin. He came out several years ago.

by Anonymousreply 119March 11, 2018 11:20 PM

I am watching this but I absolutely hate the storyline of the 911 operator and young stud. cmon, she is so fug. it is too far fetched.

by Anonymousreply 120March 11, 2018 11:21 PM

I actually think the show will eventually pair Britton and Krause's characters together.

by Anonymousreply 121March 11, 2018 11:55 PM

I thought that I was the only one whose eyes rolled to the back of my head, with the Connie Britton and young stud character.

They are just so mis-matched, it's completely unbelieveable.

I can see if Murphy was trying to avoid the stereotype of pairing Krause and Britton, but still. She just doesn't match with the younger guy.

by Anonymousreply 122March 12, 2018 12:13 AM

They should pair up Abby with the black paramedic. Now that would be hot!

by Anonymousreply 123March 12, 2018 12:22 AM

Wow, that WTF episode was crazy.

by Anonymousreply 125March 12, 2018 2:43 AM

I thought Connie Britton looked great during her Friday Night Lights days. But, she has already started to age badly. The pairing of her character with a young firefighter is dumb.

by Anonymousreply 126March 12, 2018 12:56 PM

Is she aging badly or just aging?-- the premiere of Friday Night Lights was over ten years ago. At the time she would have been around 40 -- now she is around 50. Not that you cannot still look good at that age, but you are less likely going to be "hot" to attract the young stud.

by Anonymousreply 127March 12, 2018 1:13 PM

Aside from the question of looks -- after all, the young stud could have a thing for older women -- there is no on-screen chemistry between the two actors. Britten brings an innate intelligence and emotional sensitivity to her role, which makes the pairing with a young, dumb stud all the more ridiculous. Meanwhile, she and Krause really connected in their brief scenes.

by Anonymousreply 128March 12, 2018 1:49 PM

I watched the season finale earlier today and it was hilarious with Buck and Abby's weird relationship. I'm guessing next season they bring on the boyfriend Abby broke up with off screen.

I was surprised that John Hensley from Nip/Tuck was a guest star on the show. Didn't Hensley and Ryan Murphy have conflicts towards end of that show.

by Anonymousreply 129March 23, 2018 11:51 PM

Connie Britton is leaving the show to do a show on Bravo. She's being replaced by Jennifer Love Hewitt.

Yes, R130, I shall be answering calls, not only from the people in need, but also from the people from the Great Beyond. Wait a Minute, I'm sensing a thirsty eldergay spirit. Hmm... It seems that I will have to talk Peter into screwing Oliver senseless on screen, before it can move on to the other side. Hmm... Challenging. I might have to talk to Brad and Ryan about a possible sexual healing scene type for Oliver when Connie depart.

This week’s episode was great though I could have done without the cheesy “Heroes” montage at the end. I also kinda wish we had gotten a couple of Irwin Allen type death scenes!

by Anonymousreply 142October 3, 2018 2:54 AM

This show continues to be the stupidst shit on TV. A major LA earthquake resolved in 12 hours!

by Anonymousreply 143October 3, 2018 7:42 AM

It’s terrible.

by Anonymousreply 145October 3, 2018 12:19 PM

Must every shot of Peter Krause be of him with a knowing, proud smile shining approvingly at his team. Every scene must have stage directions that read [Nash exchanges knowing looks with ____ that says everything without words]

by Anonymousreply 146October 3, 2018 9:20 PM

I expected them to stretch out the rivalry between Buck and the new guy for a few more episodes. 3 episodes in and their already making plans to raise the guy’s son together!

by Anonymousreply 147October 4, 2018 1:21 AM

As husband and husband?

by Anonymousreply 148October 4, 2018 2:01 AM

I think they will have Buck and the new guy be buddies for awhile and then a woman will come between them.

by Anonymousreply 149October 4, 2018 3:23 AM

I thought I would hate Jennifer Love Hewitt but she’s actually quite good especially in the 911 scenes.

by Anonymousreply 150October 5, 2018 6:30 AM

Buck is going to ask Eddie to marry him by the end of the season.

by Anonymousreply 156October 13, 2018 8:40 PM

So we're supposed to buy that the butch lesbian was a pharma rep brought in to seduce the doctors? This show just keeps getting more absurd.

by Anonymousreply 157November 21, 2018 5:11 AM

And I love it!

by Anonymousreply 158November 21, 2018 11:10 AM

I love this show too. It strikes the right balance between soapy drama, action and absurd situations Murphy is known for. I actually think its his best show on air right now. Angela Bassett is amazing. I miss Connie Brittons character and her exit was a little weird but they are making up for it now. J Love is a surprisingly suitable replacement. I liked the backstory episode about Hen.

by Anonymousreply 159November 21, 2018 12:24 PM

R159, I've tried to watch this show and have the opposite reaction to your assessment. I don't find any of it plausible. What was with that absurd storyline for Hen, the black lesbian at the firehouse? All of a sudden she feels put upon by some cromagnum fire chief? No one is coming to her aid throughout the hour? ugh...

by Anonymousreply 160November 21, 2018 1:19 PM

Angela Basset rocks on this show, bringing soul and gravitas to what would otherwise be an ultra cheesy program.

by Anonymousreply 161November 21, 2018 1:25 PM
cromagnum

Stupid neanderthal.

by Anonymousreply 162November 21, 2018 1:30 PM

This show is so beneath Bassett (just as it was Connie Britton, and is Peter Krause and Aisha Hinds) that I almost feel sorry for them -- until I realize they all probably make more money from this than anything else they've ever done. This retread of the 1970s-era "Emergency" series is not at all what I envisioned for any of these actors.

It’s in reruns until January, I believe.

Yes, the show has been playing up the bromance big time. So much that a woman recently commented to Buck what a lovely couple they were. But no actual gay storyline unfortunately.

by Anonymousreply 170December 9, 2018 3:24 PM

A 10 pound bag of holiday episode clichés thrown into this one: Marine returning home, gets in a random truck/bus accident, assists the medics in saving a life, and they return the favor by driving him sirens blaring to his daughter’s Xmas pageant just in time to hear her sing “I’ll Be Home For Christmas”.

by Anonymousreply 171December 15, 2018 6:44 AM

You forgot the fear of committment turning into a holiday proposal subplot, R171.

I fell asleep during last night's episode... did the Korean firefighter die from the stabbing he received? Is JLH's character in peril? Did she get stabbed as well?

by Anonymousreply 178March 26, 2019 1:27 PM

They did an entire hour On the Asian firefighter. It was beautifully done. Emotional and inspiring.

They left all that for next week. He’s still lying on the ground bleeding out.

by Anonymousreply 179March 29, 2019 4:06 AM

by Anonymousreply 180April 2, 2019 5:22 AM

Spinoff with Rob Lowe.
The new entry in the budding franchise is titled “9-1-1: Lone Star.” It follows a sophisticated New York cop (Lowe) who, along with his son, re-locates to Austin, Texas, and must try to balance saving those who are at their most vulnerable with solving the problems in his own life.
Sources say Lowe stands to make more than $200,000 per episode for his role on the show, which is slated to premiere during the 2019-2020 season. The series hails from “9-1-1” co-creators Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Tim Minear.

by Anonymousreply 183May 13, 2019 1:44 AM

by Anonymousreply 184May 13, 2019 4:34 AM

Will this show EVER have a gay storyline? Two of the characters scream gay yet they're not out yet, why?!

by Anonymousreply 185May 13, 2019 5:26 AM

If it’s a spinoff, Lowe must appear in Monday’s season finale, because he hasn’t been on the show to this point.

It’s actually ridiculous for them to call this a spinoff. The plot sounds nothing like 9-1-1.

by Anonymousreply 186May 13, 2019 5:29 AM

R185 Who knows. Ryan Murphy's usually really good with gay male storylines but looks like he dropped the ball here.

I doubt they’ll do a gay story between two hot main characters. Whenever there’s gay male characters on network tv, they’re always presented as nerdy or they’re side characters, OR their personalities are only their sexuality. We’ve never gotten a gay storyline from masculine main characters on a broadcast TV show and something tells me this won’t be the one to shatter the rainbow glass ceiling.

by Anonymousreply 225November 14, 2019 12:56 PM

Arguably, Empire’s Jamal was a masculine gay character, certainly some of his boyfriends were

by Anonymousreply 228November 19, 2019 11:36 PM

I just started watching this show. It's good, don't get me wrong, but a couple of things annoy the hell out of me. First, I love Connie Britton but her character is the most annoying character I've ever seen on any tv show. Her character is just too perfect and nice and sweet. What are her flaws? Every other character is flawed and multi-dimensional except hers. Also, we are following a fire department, but where are the fires? At least on another tv show Station 19 we get to see them fight fires. I'm on episode 6 now, not one single fire so far. Station 19 has a mix of fires and other emergencies, I wish 911 had that too. Like, I get that only some emergencies are fires, but why not have both, like Station 19? It's just weird watching a fire department not put out one single fire.

by Anonymousreply 229January 5, 2020 10:39 PM

I couldn't watch it after they had a live baby stuck in a pipe that small in the pilot. I lost it.

Offsite Link
by Anonymousreply 231January 6, 2020 3:32 PM

What if the statement means that Buck and Eddie are NOT getting together, so the fangirls should stop hoping. but maybe that's not the whole story? What if they really do make Buck bi or gay? I've been watching and I actually do think they've been hinting at Buck's sexuality for a while now. Eddie? Nah, he seems straight. Buck on the other hand... he definitely has a crush on Eddie, even called him cute, lol. Anyways, I think either the writers will make Buck bi or gay, or he'll continue to be straight and they will continue to gaybait (most likely).

by Anonymousreply 232January 6, 2020 3:46 PM

Peter Krause....verifcatia of sizemeat?

by Anonymousreply 233January 6, 2020 3:54 PM

It pisses me off that this show keeps depicting lesbian kissing and sex, yet cut out the cute guys kissing from that elderly gay couple throwback episode. Why is it so much more acceptable to see women kiss than men?

by Anonymousreply 234January 6, 2020 4:04 PM

Lesbian sex??? What episode was that???

by Anonymousreply 235January 6, 2020 4:41 PM

new trailer for the spinoff

Offsite Link
by Anonymousreply 238January 14, 2020 6:50 PM

I binged the show and I really want to like it, but they have a problem with gay characters. On the one hand we have a wonderful lesbian couple, who gets to kiss and be affectionate. On the other we have a gay recurring character, the ONLY character without a love life. Not only that but now he has a brain tumor so we might end up with yet another dead gay character, yay! Remember that montage of the gay elderly couple spending their lives together? Well... they showed everything EXCEPT a kiss. That part was cut out, of course. WHAT THE FUCK?! Why is a gay kiss not allowed on FOX? Oh and btw, I have a feeling they added a gay couple to the spin off because they knew killing off the only loveless/sexless gay character on 9-1-1 would create a backlash. This way they can say "we don't deserve the backlash because we have lesbians on 9-1-1 and gays on the spinoff", a spinoff that will probably end up getting cancelled, mind you. Again, this is a cheap cop out because they don't have the balls to actually treat the one gay character they have with respect, not to mention the pathetic depiction of Buck and Eddie who clearly have feelings for each other, but it will never happen because this show is terrified of showing gay affection.

by Anonymousreply 239January 14, 2020 7:45 PM

by Anonymousreply 240January 20, 2020 9:59 AM

R240 As horrible as could be expected.

by Anonymousreply 241January 24, 2020 10:11 AM

Howard has a cute younger half-brother! Will he be the meat in a Buck/Eddie spitroast?

by Anonymousreply 242March 17, 2020 1:31 AM

I've recently started watching and it's AWFULLY written, I seriously couldn't believe Ryan Murphy was attached to it at first (say what you want, but he's never even touched this particular brand of bad), and yet it's super fun to binge. Just mindless entertainment, I never found myself bored. Oliver Stark is great to look at, I hope he does a nude scene sometime soon (not in this obviously). It ain't Ibsen, but it's entertaining enough.

by Anonymousreply 243March 17, 2020 2:10 AM

R243, it is both awful and entertaining therefore, IMHO, it's not awful at all.

I don't think the writers planned on Buck and Eddie -- even their couple name 'Buddy' is intimate -- having such a following.

I doubt either character is gay, but I haven't seen love like that since, well, Starsky & Hutch.

by Anonymousreply 244March 17, 2020 5:33 AM

Oliver Stark talks about the Buck/Eddie romance.

Sounds like he's more than cool with it, which is nice to read.

by Anonymousreply 246March 17, 2020 5:37 AM

Both Oliver Stark and Ryan Guzman (the hottie who plays Eddie) are on board with the Buddy stuff, pressed to make their characters gay, and are very active allies to the community. Ryan in particular has thrown us plenty a bone.

Fox is the thing standing in the way of major male characters on 9-1-1 being gay, never forget that. It's always the networks/channels/streaming services.
