Smallville actress Allison Mack is 'second in command of sex cult under investigation for branding
by Anonymous | reply 537 | February 4, 2021 9:55 PM |
Why is this cult guy still alive?
by Anonymous | reply 1 | November 9, 2017 6:01 AM |
Sounds like more fun than Weight Watchers
by Anonymous | reply 2 | November 9, 2017 6:02 AM |
How truly bizarre. Seems like something that should have been printed in the National Enquirer.

Christ.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | November 9, 2017 6:16 AM |
Honestly, it fascinates me that cults are still around. If you think about it, society probably doesn't take them as seriously anymore, or may even think of the concept as outdated. This might be the best time for cults to form. I wonder if we'll be hearing even more about them a decade from now... especially since cults tend to form during times of great societal strife. We'll see.

When did Allison Mack get an Emmy???
by Anonymous | reply 6 | November 9, 2017 6:34 AM |
Jeebus. DOS is all white women im guessing, at the risk of being seen as racist.

R6, for Smallville season 7.

Perverts. Pedos. And now sex slave cults.

This woman keeps saying that Kristin Kreuk was also involved. In another post she said:
Over the years Allison Mack and Kristin Kreuk were always starting some kind of project aimed at "empowering" young women. Shit was always weirdly vague.

That’s the real surprise here. Who cares about a sex cult as long as they don’t eat babies or anything. YOLO.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | November 9, 2017 9:55 AM |
Cults and cult thinking are thriving thanks to the internet. It is spilling out into the mainstream now. Certainly in politics.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | November 9, 2017 9:55 AM |
That woman is right, as it is a story I read about here on the DL.
We nail another one.

by Anonymous | reply 24 | November 9, 2017 2:01 PM |
As far as I can tell nothing going on here is illegal. Branding is small potatoes compared to some of the truly hideous body mod some young people go through today just to be edgy.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | November 9, 2017 2:03 PM |
I see Allison Mack's emmy froms from Lost in Oz, the show won a daytime emmy for outstanding kid's animated program and she voices a character on the show.
That makes sense, I knew Mack had not won an emmy.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | November 9, 2017 2:07 PM |
"I think it is pronounced 'nexium'."
Well, at least they won't get heartburn while getting gangbanged by hooded satanists slathered in goat blood.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | November 9, 2017 5:46 PM |
It says in her twitter bio that she is “woman of 35 and counting...” free to be you and me and all that, but that is creepy af.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | November 9, 2017 5:52 PM |
How people get sucked into stupid cults, I'll never understand. Sad. She was one of the best things about Smallville.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | November 9, 2017 8:55 PM |
Also apparently Grace Park from Battlestar Galactica is/was involved in this cult as well.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | November 9, 2017 8:57 PM |
Here's an article about Park's departure from Hawaii Five-0, which rumor has it was due as much to her desire to be part of this misogynistic sex cult as it was to monetary disputes. Apparently she was already in the orbit of the cult when on the show and as a result was behaving erratically.
She's in her 40s so she's not entitled to the rare honor of naked Tantric one on one teachings with the cult leader, but she can still get branded!
Read the comments at the end of the post -- just in case there was any doubt that this is a cult....
by Anonymous | reply 31 | November 9, 2017 9:10 PM |
It says in her twitter bio that she is “woman of 35 and counting...” free to be you and me and all that, but that is creepy af.
It's Keith Raniere who's counting. After a woman gets to be a certain age she is no longer entitled to the rare privilege of his close personal company. She's probably sweating bullets with each passing birthday and new wrinkle. As I mentioned above, Grace Park is in her 40s and, despite being an exceptional beauty, is too old to be in the cult leader's immediate orbit.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | November 9, 2017 9:13 PM |
My apologies -- I referred to "Keith Raniere" in my preceding post, but as we all know, he's supposed to be referred to as "The Vanguard." Please accept my apologies, The Vanguard.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | November 9, 2017 9:24 PM |
so it's a cult for women on the Z list? interesting!

Hunky Mark Hildreth, Kristin Kreuk's boyfriend, was in the cult too but has escaped.
The funniest thing Nxivm has ever done was to try and recruit college students at a capella music festival.
I would join a sex cult headed by Tom Welling.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | November 10, 2017 1:43 AM |
Why would anyone join a sex cult co-lead by Allison Mack?
And for the poster above, I took the “woman of 35 and counting...” in a total different way than you did. I didn’t think she was talking about her age, but the number in her harem.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | November 10, 2017 3:09 AM |
apparently Grace Park from Battlestar Galactica is/was involved in this cult as well.
I don't know about that one. If Grace was recruiting sex harems they'd outnumber Scientology.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | November 10, 2017 3:18 AM |
What is it with these Smallville actors? Sam Jones III, who played Pete, was busted years ago for being a big time drug dealer and later made an amateur sex tape that was leaked (in which you can see he’s got a giant cock), and now Allie Mack? I’m half expecting Michael Rosenbaum to be outed as a cross-dressing sex fiend.
by Anonymous | reply 44 | November 10, 2017 3:28 AM |
Why doesn’t someone just kill these cult leaders? Christ if they had my loved one I’d hang them high with their small intestines.
by Anonymous | reply 45 | November 10, 2017 3:53 AM |
Who has time for a cult? Shouldn't these D-list bitches be going to auditions?
by Anonymous | reply 46 | November 10, 2017 4:02 AM |
Edgar Bronfman's daughter is in the cult too. Man, why can't I inherit millions? I promise not to hand it over to a sex cult!
by Anonymous | reply 47 | November 10, 2017 4:18 AM |
So is Tom Welling the only person from this show who isnt a fuck up?
by Anonymous | reply 48 | November 10, 2017 5:00 AM |
Hilarious interview with Tom conducted by Michael Rosenbaum on his podcast. I got a kick out of hearing good boy Tom use curse words.
by Anonymous | reply 49 | November 10, 2017 6:08 PM |
I'm disappointed she didn't go further with her acting career--she was a superb actress, and was much better than anyone else on the show (including even Annette O'Toole, which is really saying something).
by Anonymous | reply 50 | November 10, 2017 6:14 PM |
Yeah she showed lots of talent on smallville r50, pity she got sucked into this cult.

R48 Smallville cast is mostly comprised of low drama people. Tom Welling, Michael Rosenbaum, Erica Durance, Eric Johnson, Aaron Ashmore and Laura Vandervoort are all steadily working. (And of course Annette O"Toole and John Glover never have to wait for roles.)
Kristin Kreuk escaped the cult and has a new show coming up on Canadian TV.
Cassidy Freeman (Tess) is one of the Jeremy Piven accusers, which only makes me love her more!
by Anonymous | reply 54 | November 13, 2017 2:28 AM |
So how is Tom involved in this sex cult dungeon thing and where do I sign up?
by Anonymous | reply 55 | November 13, 2017 2:46 AM |
Heh r55, I might handle a branding for a night with Welling in his prime.
by Anonymous | reply 56 | November 13, 2017 3:02 AM |
Now some people are saying that faker Sherry Papini was kidnapped by this cult because she was branded too.
by Anonymous | reply 57 | November 13, 2017 3:04 AM |
Have you seen any details about Sherry's so-called branding? I haven't, and I wonder if what they're calling a branding is just plain ol' scar. That whole story is full of BS.
Sorry to get sidetracked, now back to the Smallville sex cult.

You forget John Schneider, who’s been on Tyler Perry’s OWN series The Haves and the Have Nots for the last five or so years.
by Anonymous | reply 60 | November 14, 2017 1:42 AM |
Here’s Sam Jones III and his ginormous cock. It’s probably bigger than all the males in the Smallville cast (save Schneider’s)...
by Anonymous | reply 61 | November 14, 2017 1:44 AM |
Allison is choosing to ignore the controversy and post on Instagram as if nothing is going on. I can see why with all that’s going on, she’ll be forgotten very fast.

Sherri Papini?
That cult is pulling beautiful celebrities, I'm sure they can do better than crazy thirtyish mothers from flyover country.

Why the hell have so many Canadian actresses fallen for this Brooklyn trash? I guess you had to be there to witness this incredible magnetism in person.
"Rational Inquiry"
Let me demonstrate how rational inquiry works, Allison Mack. You just needed to go through this one line of thought internally in all the time you've been in this cult: "There are [italic]so many[/italic] actors out there, throughout history and right now, who haven't gone through the NXIVM programme and yet are infinitely more successful than I am. Is it possible that this programme is not the holy grail of success it claims to be?" That's literally all it takes. Of course, I understand that the point of the cult becomes completely different once you rise in its ranks.
And Kristin Kreuk should be dragged as well. She's the one who recruited Mack.
by Anonymous | reply 90 | March 29, 2018 6:21 PM |
All these cults offer you something you, supposedly, can't get anywhere else: Purpose, power, feeding one's ego, salvation, great career opportunities (through networking with cult members who look out for each other), knowledge, the feeling to belong, etc.
by Anonymous | reply 91 | March 29, 2018 6:29 PM |

More from 2007.
It has also peddled its “executive success” and personal-growth seminars to a purported 400,000 students, who paid up to $7,500 each for its sessions.
Rosters included Antonia Novello, a former surgeon general who was New York state health commissioner, Ana Cristina Fox, the daughter of former Mexican president Vicente Fox, and Kristin Kreuk, who plays Lana Lang on TV’s “Smallville.”

R91 Hit the nail on the head. You'll never get a well balanced, good self esteem, non broke and logical person joining these cults. They prey on people that have issues and are on some level despressed, mostly the con man/woman just listens to the suckers woes and the suckers feel loved/understood and in return stay and give their money.

During my time, I never experienced any illegal or nefarious activity. I am horrified and disgusted by what has come out about DOS. Thanks so the DLers who posted links. i read the old Vanity Fair 2010 article last night about the Bronfman sisters. Holy shit! They wasted their $200 million+ inheritance on this cult. At least Johnny Depp wasted his fortune on fun things.
I didn't watch Smallville so I don't know the players but it's laughable that a cult that supposedly empowered women boiled down to women trying to curry favor of ONE asshole, unattractive guy w/ an 80s bad haircut.
Grace Park, why? Why? Why?!

As punishment for not following orders, women were forced to attend classes where they were ‘forced to wear fake cow udders over their breasts while people called them derogatory names,’ or threatened with being put in cages.”

by Anonymous | reply 138 | March 31, 2018 6:34 PM |
r138 Thanks, I guess he isn't an actor after all. From his Wikipedia entry:
Marc Elliot was born in 1985 in St.Louis. He was diagnosed with Hirschsprung's disease, a rare intestinal disease, at birth. A series of operations for the same left him with only 4 feet of small intestines. He was diagnosed at Tourette's aged nine. Elliot's case was brought into attention when he was covered by a local news channel, WTHR, for being ejected off a Greyhound. Sixteen-year-old Elliot repeatedly, and uncontrollably, shouted a racial slur. While the driver was aware of his condition, he was ejected from the bus taking him home to St. Louis as other passengers objected to his usage of the word. It was after this incident that Elliot started speaking about his condition in order to raise awareness, making his first presentation at Clayton High School.
Um, wow, okay. I guess these hucksters do collabs just like YouTubers or porn stars on that OnlyFans site. Also, not to be confused with the dreamy Marc Elliot of EastEnders.

Also, people - in this thread and elsewhere - talk about Grace Park like she's the second coming of Miyoshi Umeki. I thought she was just okay on BSG. Was she really that good on that Hawai'i show? If so, I'll have to check it out for sure.

A lot of her fans are from the Smallville days and they supported her when she did that CW remake of Beauty and the Beast. I actually though Allison Mack was the better actress on Smallville.

Mack, 34, has been a member of NXIVM since 2006. Sources say she gave up her acting career at the direction of NXIVM leader Keith Raniere aka ‘Vanguard’. She works closely with NXIVM leader Clare Bronfman, an heir to the Seagram’s fortune.
Raniere, Bronfman and Mack are believed to have conspired to form and fund the brutal ‘master-slave cult’, which depends on blackmail to keep women in slavery.
Bronfman allegedly financed the entire operation. There has been no comment from the Bronfman family or their trustees.

Curious as to are you getting any programmes made about it in the U.S.A or is it mostly all articles
As I noticed on British telly a few hours ago, they aired a programme on BBC 1 of all places about that singer R. Kelly running a sex cult from his home. I didn't watch it. But was doubly surprised to see it on the TV guide as 1. I thought hardly anyone would remember him here in Britain anymore and 2. I thought I would have noticed a thread about him in a cult on here first ages ago
I bet I missed the thread, so forgive me, but was it as big a story in America than this NXIVM cult?
by Anonymous | reply 148 | April 4, 2018 1:04 AM |
r148 At least on Twitter, the R. Kelly story was by far the bigger one of the two. Black Twitter exploded, basically blaming itself for enabling him for so long. But these allegations weren't anything new so it didn't have as much of an impact beyond that.
This NXIVM business is just bonkers by comparison but didn't get much traction on Twitter as it's just spoiled rich white people fooling around. It's more of a curiosity than a breaking news story. It got covered by Vanity Fair back in 2010 but no one cared until one of the victims' moms kicked up a fuss over her kid being starved and branded.
You can find a collection of exposés by major news outlets at the bottom of this article that was published today by the AV Club. The comments are, as always, a delight.
by Anonymous | reply 149 | April 4, 2018 1:22 AM |
Anyone following this has to read the link below - the story gets wackier. Gay “marriage” and sex scandal and more oh my.
... IMO, No the NXIVM cult isn’t getting much attention in the US though it’s been covered by a handful of major media outlets and there’s been expose’s done on mainstream tv.
Twitter is eating it up though. People are still buzzing.

by Anonymous | reply 153 | April 6, 2018 5:42 PM |
I feel bad about Mack because she was the only one among the leads (except maybe for Michael Rosenbaum) who had any acting talent. Kreuk and Welling were beautiful empty vessels, which was fine for the role of Clark Kent (since that role requires minimal acting skills) but which was disastrous for Lana Lang.
by Anonymous | reply 154 | April 6, 2018 5:45 PM |
This piece claims to have a source within the group (so it may be bullshit) who says that Mack is now head bitch in charge of the sex slaves, who are on standby 24 hours a day and must reply to Mack's text messages within one minute or they get punished with a beating.
by Anonymous | reply 155 | April 6, 2018 5:52 PM |

What I find fascinating is that nicki and Allison’s twitter, instagram etc appears so “normal” ... even wholesome- while all this shit goes on in the background.
I know Allison deleted her web page but the links and blogs are all still there. Many dedicated to Rainere.
I’m guessing how this happens is the acting work dries up, you meet crazies in LA, you are struggling personally, etc. - they promise money and network - abusive relationships look much different from the outside to someone who’s unable to escape living it daily.
The Seagrams heirs giving them 100 million (!!!!) is getting zero traction.

It's alleged Christina Fox is the one who helped Raniere escape to Mexico after then NYT article in October. On the American side, I have only seen loose connections to Clinton, like campaign donations and something about Sen. Gillibrand's father. Too many tentacles on this story. It's weird how little media coverage the story is actually getting.

Allison Mack was a good actor when Smallville started but as it went on, she became more stiff and stilted, not to mention scarily skinny. Obviously in retrospect, this was the effect of the cult.
It's a sad story, but fascinating. Should make for a riveting trial. Wonder if Kristin Kreuk will testify against her former guru and cast mate?

Jesus. Christ! Speaking of whom...
I wish there were modern media around back when Joseph Smith and Hubbard were starting out with their cons. Now that's an example of shit that spiralled even more out of control than this one here. However, as history has taught us through one very unfortunate example, sometimes even a decisive blow against the founder doesn't help dismantle the cult but makes it more powerful than ever. And it's too late to do anything once a cult gets branded a religion and goes mainstream. Even the lions aren't much help then.

'Allison Mack' now trending on Twitter. She's finally made it, you guys!
The Smallville actress, along with NXIVM cult leader Keith Raniere, also known as “Vanguard,” was charged with sex trafficking, sex trafficking conspiracy and forced labor conspiracy, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York. The 35-year-old Mack will be arraigned Friday afternoon.
“As alleged in the indictment, Allison Mack recruited women to join what was purported to be a female mentorship group that was, in fact, created and led by Keith Raniere,” United States Attorney Richard P. Donoghue said in a statement. “The victims were then exploited, both sexually and for their labor, to the defendants’ benefit."
According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, over the past two decades Raniere established a series of purported self-help programs under the name NXIVM, based in Albany, New York, with centers in the United States, Mexico, Canada and South America. Mack and other cult "masters" allegedly recruited slaves by telling them they were joining a "women-only organization that would empower them and eradicate purported weaknesses that the NXIVM curriculum taught were common in women."
“As this pyramid scheme continues to unravel, we ask anyone who might have been a victim to reach out to us with information that may further our investigation," FBI Assistant Director-in-Charge William F. Sweeney said in a statement.

For those thinking this isn’t illegal: on its face, things look normal. However, if you lure, procure women or men, for the purpose of arraigned sexual relationships, unpaid labor, , etc., across state lines and or countries, even if they are doing so willingly, it can be considered human trafficking. ESPECIALLY if you’re doing it for someone else.
Be careful. This administration is turning over every fucking leaf and cranny. Thinking of ordering yourself a Russian bride of groom? Think again. If you can get fucked, this WH DOJ , as well as State AGs, will fuck you.
In no way am I promoting trafficking, btw. But lot’s of Americans are fucking idiots. They think that they’re accessing legal sites that are legit and gorgeous Russian chicks want to marry the 300 lbs. blubber ass.
Sure! Of course they do!!! They’re broke as fuck! So yes, it true love!
Anyhow, many of those sites are ran by traffickers. Just be aware.

I have very little sympathy for this chick. Introducing two of your friends who you think might hit it off is one thing, but this chick is a fucking idiot. She didi it repeatedly, and enough to get her some pretty serious charges.
Money doesn’t even need to be involved in this sort of shit. And the cult aspect has very little to do with the charges as well.

Also, while we're on the subject of L.A. weirdness, remember Elisa Lam? "The Last Bookstore", the alleged last business she visited (which received a great deal of media attention for being so) before she was found in a water tank has some incredibly weird synchronicity/psy-op planning aligned with her death. It's an L.A. bookstore which, apparently, uses a P.O. Box in Canada. The cemetery where Elisa Lam is allegedly buried comes up as the location point for Google maps and directions. Plus, there's all the weird mortality themes of the bookstore swirling around this story:

Comparative religion is the thing that should be taught and it should include both cults that made it (present-day major religions) and cults that didn't (Jonestown). Because no amount of math and science can prepare you for charismatic cult leaders later in adulthood, although critical thinking skills do tend to decrease the chances of that happening substantially.

Sillsby was not "protected" by the Clintons--the US government explicitly refused to intervene in her case, the deal Bill Clinton brokered explicitly EXCLUDED her, and as a result she served jail time in Haiti. And the DOJ started this investigation 2 months after the NYT published an expose about the cult.
by Anonymous | reply 232 | April 21, 2018 6:52 PM |
Time capsule fun: it was Republican Senator Jim Risch who was advocating on behalf of Sillsby and the others who were arrested in Haiti for child trafficking. Which makes sense since they were representing a conservative fundie Idaho church.
Somehow these basic facts never get mentioned in the Clintons did it! fiction.

A DIPLOMATIC deal over the 10 American missionaries jailed in Haiti on child abduction charges may lead to the release this week of all except the group's leader, Laura Silsby, according to legal sources in Port-au-Prince.
The intervention of Bill Clinton, the former president, who is co-ordinating relief efforts in Haiti, may accelerate the resolution of an affair that has embarrassed the US government, dismayed relief agencies and angered many Haitians who believe their plight is being exploited by unscrupulous foreigners.

r231 I'm sorry, but anyone who thinks Donald Trump is on a moral crusade of any kind (and against child sex rings of all things) and what's more that he's succeeding (when he's failing at every other thing he tries to do) is a loon. It's so far from any kind of rational appraisal of all available evidence that there's no other conclusion. A good friend of mine has been sucked into this Great Awakening/Q nonsense and it's heartbreaking to see.

You are wrong, as you will soon see, R235. Trump has been an outspoken opponent of human trafficking. How can you possibly assert that Trump (of all people!) has failed to make himself clear on this count?

r236 The same Trump who openly boasted about grabbing women's genitalia and has had affairs with porn stars while his new wife was pregnant with his child? That one?
The main thing I wonder about is if the rumored Trump underaged hooker pee sex tape is real and is released, will the Great Awakening people be shocked and subsequently change their views or will they somehow go into denial about its veracity.

R237 and his ilk LOVE to take what he said out of context and leave out that whole "they let you do it" part from the beginning which completely changes what he was saying. Funny that. At least pretend to be honest when you're attacking. And he's right of course. If a man is rich and famous enough (or just famous enough) there is no shortage of women who will throw themselves at him no matter how old or ugly or otherwise repellent he is. It's all about the dollars. Was Hugh Hefner surrounded by women because of his good looks and winning personality? Fuck no.

One can only hope Scientology is next on the list. Not sex trafficking, but human traffickkng certainly. They move their "Sea Org" members to and from their facilities in different states and across countries as well. These folks, starting as early as 13, work 80+ hour weeks and don't get sufficient payment for basics such as toiletries and underwear. They are fed substandard meals with little nutritional value. They also forcibly imprison members for displeasing someone higher up the ladder (usually for little to no reason) The FBI was on the verge of raiding thieir base in Hemet, CA some years ago, but it was called off. They've been on LE's radar forever, but nothing has happened.

And if the rumored sex tape did come out you'd no doubt excuse that, too. It seems to me that the only way you can rationalize your love of someone as clearly corrupt and immoral as Trump is by imagining that he's secretly going after people guilty of far worse than himself. Good luck with that x

R241 enough. Stop being a hypocrite, and enough with your moral high ground. We all know the democrats (and Clinton’s) are no angels when it comes to personal sex scandals.
if you truly believe that a sex tape existed between trump and a child, who was always anonymous yet crying about death threats (all while being represented by Gloria Alfred’s daughter) - then I have a bridge to sell you. Let’s get real. If that story was true, it would have come out by now.
But yet... over a year later, all we have is an old tax return proving trump paid taxes in what....2010?
That’s the only proof out of all the allegations (including the Russian ones) that has actually come out! How ridiculous is that? Pretty crazy when you think about it. We have all these “redacted” documents dripping out trying to nail trump but they really tell us nothing. They do however, stir up people like yourself.

Actually the Allison Mack story demonstrates why all these troll-pushed conspiracy theories are ridiculous. This cult has been the subject of increasingly salacious major media stories for years, as was more recently Mack's involvement. It wasn't hidden in some deep recesses--there were complaints to state authorities and then later the feds picked up on it after a New York Times expose last year.
This was not "uncovered" by the internet. It was old-fashioned journalism. And contrary to the new troll spin, the Trump admin did not lead the way, the NYT did.

Members of the Nxivm 'sex cult' led by Smallville actress Allison Mack reportedly held wild parties on billionaire Richard Branson's private Caribbean island at least twice.
According to The Sun, several members, including co-founder Nancy Salzman, visited Branson's Necker Island for two seminars in 2007 and 2010.
Former Nxivm publicist Frank Parlato told the newspaper: 'I was told the reason they staged the seminars on Necker was they hoped to recruit Branson into the organization.'
Parlato said that the businessman 'would have been the biggest score they ever had'.
One of the visits was reportedly paid for by billionaire heiress and Nxivm follower Sara Bronfman, whose late father, businessman Edgar Bronfman Sr, knew Branson, according to the Sun.
Sara's sister, Clare, is also one of Nxivm's longtime followers. Clare recently took over as leader for the 'sex cult' after actress Allison Mack and leader, Keith Raniere were arraigned on sex trafficking charges.
According to the Sun, Raniere did not visit the island during the alleged visits. Raniere was arrested on the sex trafficking charges in Mexico in March.
The Sun obtained photos that showed Branson, Sara and Mack together. The photos were reportedly taken on Necker Island in 2010. Parlato claims that Salzman 'said she did the teaching by day. But she said he [Branson] became increasingly restless and hosted really crazy parties that started earlier and earlier'.
Branson told the newspaper that he was not aware of any seminars. He claims he has never heard of Raniere and never met him.
A Virgin Management spokesman said that 'there is absolutely no association between Sir Richard and the Nxivm group or its leader'.
It seems unlikely that Raniere will be able to strike any deals with the US attorney's office, who successfully petitioned to have him held without bail in a letter to the court stating that the cult leader had sexual relationships with two minor females, aged 15 and 12, in the past.
The allegations against Raniere and Mack were outlined in a Complaint and Affidavit in Support of Arrest Warrant that was filed back on February 14.
Special Agent Michael Lever with the FBI had been investigating Raniere and speaking with former cult members, including two women known as Jane Doe 1 and Jane Doe 2.
Lever states that Raniere came up with the idea for Nxivm's sex slave program, known as DOS, during the summer of 2015.
A woman by the name of CC-1, who was revealed to be Mack in subsequent filings, was his first 'slave,' and provided 'collateral' which guaranteed she would remain faithful to him by providing Raniere with damning material. 'CC-1's email was titled "vow 3" and included an attached letter. The letter pledged CC-1's "full and complete life" to 14 RANIERE,' reads the complaint.
'In the letter, CC-1 used the terms "slave" and "master" to refer to herself and RANIERE. Moreover, the letter identified "collateral" to "cement" the vow made by CC-1.
'This collateral was described as: (1) a letter regarding CC-1's mother and father that would "destroy their character"; (2) a contract that transferred custody of any children birthed by CC-1 to RANIERE if CC-1 broke her commitment to RANIERE; (3) a contract that transferred ownership of CC-1's home if the commitment to RANIERE was broken; and (4) a letter addressed to social services alleging abuse to CC-1's nephews.'
It is not clear if any of the claims made in those letters were true. Soon, CC-1 was recruiting slaves of her own and filling out the pyramid that Raniere had hoped to create, selecting Jane Doe 1 as one of these women.
Allegations of Raniere's alarming and illegal sexual predilections are also outlined in a letter sent by US Attorney Richard P Donoghue to Judge Steven M Gold back in March.

by Anonymous | reply 262 | April 24, 2018 2:12 PM |
Frank Parlato, who has been covering Nxivm extensively on Art Voice, said that the female members of the cult have devised a plan they hope will save Raniere.
First, all female members are prepared to deny that they were ever forced or coerced into performing sex acts in an attempt to discredit the allegations made by the two former members whose grand jury testimony resulted in the indictments of Mack and Raniere.
If that does not work, member India Oxenberg, Mack and Mack's wife Nicki Clyne are prepared to testify that they alone were responsible for coercing members into having sex claims Parlato.
'Mack, Oxenberg and Clyne have made a pact to go to prison, saying privately they are ready to walk into prison tomorrow if Raniere could be free today,' reports Parlato.
Parlato tells DailyMail.com that Mack's arrest had been in the works ever since Raniere's extradition from Mexico to the United States back in March.
Bail for “Smallville” actress Allison Mack was set at $5 million in a Tuesday hearing at Brooklyn Federal Court as she was released to serve home detention.
The expectation is that Mack is cutting a deal with prosecutors to provide information against Nxium founder Keith Raniere, who was arrested last month in Mexico and remains in federal custody. A bail hearing for Raniere is set for next week.
Her mother, Melinda Mack, was in court and put up her home in Los Alamitos, Calif. as collateral for the bail, in addition to property and a bank account owned by Allison Mack. The actress accused of helping run a secretive sex cult appeared in court in gray-green jail garb. She spoke softly in court and did not make eye contact with her mother during the bail hearing.
Mack was not handcuffed but she kept her hands clasped behind her back during the 15 minute hearing. She said few words during the hearing but nodded repeatedly.
She was released under home detention, to be served at her parents’ home in Los Alamitos. The conditions of her bail allow her to travel to Southern California and to the New York City area where her criminal attorneys are based. Mack’s father, opera singer Jonathan Mack, was not in court but is obligated to co-sign her bail collateral arrangement by May 4. The judge instructed Allison Mack not to associate with anyone connected to the Nxium cult-like organization that is the source of the sex trafficking charge she faces. .
Before the hearing, prosecutors and Mack’s attorneys huddled on an agreement to severely restrict Mack’s ability to access the Intenet and online communications. The side agreed to conditions that she would have access to a phone that would limit her to reviewing emails only from her lawyers.
Rich people.

This woman is just nuts. She’s obviously quite damaged, and that , most likely, is due to her childhood.
Mentally well, emotionally even tempered, well adjusted people with healthy self esteem don’t do this sort of shit. They don’t make pledges, sign contracts of property transfers, or giving away their first born, or admit to abuse of their nephews, in order to cement their bond with another human being. It’s (obviously), not a normal, healthy, attachment
My best guess is that Mack was fucked over hard by her parents when she was a child. Not sure in what manner. A normal response to this over the top coercion is resistance.
Her back story is probably just as bad as her present one, or worse.

[bold]TV Series in the Works Based on Alleged Sex Trafficking Cult Nxivm[/bold]
A TV series based on Keith Raniere's alleged cult Nxivm is in the works. Annapurna Television has optioned the rights to reporter Barry Meier's 2017 New York Times exposé "Inside a Secretive Group Where Women Are Branded" that explores the group fronted by Raniere.
A writer for the untitled project has not yet been determined, but Annapurna Television's hope is to adapt the investigative report as a one-hour fictionalized scripted series inspired by actual events. A network is not yet attached.
Actress Shannon Woodward (Westworld) is attached to executive produce the drama alongside Annapurna's Megan Ellison, Sue Naegle and Susan Goldberg.
If she gets away with community service for striking a deal, perhaps Allison could work as a consultant on the show? Or maybe even as the lead, finally.

Raniere needs to burn. And he will.
These chicks are just nuts. There is no way I’d get involved with a sociopath like Raniere. I would have told him to fuck off.
Let me point out, however, that I’ve met women with the self esteem of a cockroach. They love men like Raniere, in the sense that they have no direction or goals in life, and find fulfillment by being told what to do, by their partners.
I also want to point out that women like this are usually what I call inverted narcissists. They constantly cry victim, and blame everything on everyone else. They are not genuinely kind, or loving people, however. They’re only obedient and loving to their abuser, and absolutely trash everyone and everything else, unless they can get something out of them.
Don’t feel too sorry for Mack. Yes, I do believe she’s damaged, but make NO mistake. At this time in her life, she is just as damaged and fucked up as Raniere, and she is just as dangerous. I’m standing by my assessment too.
Fuck this cunt. She needs to do some hard time. She is a sociopath.

Some people get sucked into something that appears noble and helpful on the surface. They learn self empowering techniques that are somewhat valid. Once they are convinced this is a good and helpful group and they feel like they are improving their lives in some way, they are too blind to see what comes next. Or, if they do see the deeper shit, they are in too deep and they'd be 'disappeared' or suicided (oh she was so depressed... no shit she was depressed), if they ever tried to leave. Another possibility is they are making so much money and getting so much access to something valuable (money, roles, connections, network, expensive gifts). Yet another possibility is they were born into this crappy network and haven't known anything else.

State shuts down Miami school linked to Rainere
“In 2015, Raquel Perera, wife of 17-time Latin Grammy winner Alejandro Sanz, debuted a school called the Rainbow Cultural Garden in posh midtown Miami.
Speaking to Univision, Perera bragged that by immersing toddlers in as many as seven languages at once, the school would revolutionize teaching.
Univision credited a New York guru named Keith Raniere with developing the unusual plan.”

r339 It probably happened because they needed higher and higher levels (that also got more and more esoteric) for their members to attain. The highest level were women willing to do absolutely anything for their leader, including prostitution, corporal punishment, and branding.
Another story goes that it was a totally separate clique within the cult that did this shit. I guess we'll find out the truth eventually.

Funny and probably true.

Eugh, I bet she got off on the mere prospect of making them slaves for that repulsive little man. So creepy.
Each time, Mack appeared more “fragile and gaunt” with dark circles under her eyes, Shoaib said. “She was definitely physically suffering,” Shoaib said. “There’s no question she was sleep deprived.”

The desperation to recruit women, as described in R351's article is notable. If I had to guess I'd say the Raniere freak was threatening her to get her recruiting numbers up. She targeted actresses and celebs who could be manipulated and extorted. Follow the money.

r359 I'm sorry but from a legal standpoint, the relationship of a salesperson towards his boss IS free as he signed the contract. Other, more esoteric types of freedom, are a matter of your perception and don't really hold up in court.
Allison is being charged with forced labour conspiracy. So slavery, basically. Let's not water down the seriousness of those crimes by saying the average Joe has it just as bad on a daily basis. Some perspective, please.
by Anonymous | reply 362 | April 28, 2018 4:32 PM |
I know it makes no sense, R361. But Hillary herself now claims that women were forced to conceal their support for her (!) and that men pressured women into voting for Trump, and the little ladies obeyed.
by Anonymous | reply 363 | April 28, 2018 4:33 PM |
If there were women who were pressured by their husbands to vote for Trump, they were not the type that would vote for Hillary, and probably not the Democratic Party. So Hillary is wrong there. She may have lost liberal women votes to Bernie supporters who were so fired up for Bernie they did not vote at all or voted Green.
by Anonymous | reply 364 | April 28, 2018 4:36 PM |

R336 I've been following articles & posts about Nxivm since 2006 and have never once seen Tom Welling's name mentioned in connection with it. Kristin Kreuk's boyfriend Mark Hildreth was a member though.
If Welling had been involved, the cult would have tried to use him as a lure - and it would have worked because he had a lot more fans than Allison Mack did. But I doubt Keith Raniere wanted hunky guys around, as they would diminish his own appeal. All the guys that seem to have been drawn to Nxivm seem to have been gay or milquetoast.
by Anonymous | reply 368 | April 29, 2018 3:01 AM |
These women allowed themselves to be branded with a cauterizing laser. Each brand took about 20-30 minutes to complete, without anesthetic. Other member held down the women while an actual MD, who was also a woman, burned the initials of Keith Raniere (KR), into their flesh.

What an ugly dork that Raniere is? Shouldn't cult leaders be charismatic and good looking at least? I'd be way too distracted by his 80's hairstyle to listen to any of his inane psychobabble. Can't imagine how tough it had to be to recruit for him. This shit isn't an easy sell. I'll bet Mack had to reach out to thousands of women just to get a few desperate, insecure, mentally unstable fish to bite. How exhausting.
by Anonymous | reply 371 | April 29, 2018 12:08 PM |
It was revealed in interviews, R370.
You can tell from the above links and Mack's emails and messages that she's talking in an "out of body" way. Simply mirroring people, vacant, fake.
The first part of Mack's "collateral" said something like if she strayed from Rainere, it would be revealed something about her parents that would destroy them. So, I wonder if that speaks to her childhood and how she got to be so sucked into this cult.

After the story breaks in the media, however, the HD suddenly decides that yes, it was a violation.
NXIUM would have lasted far less if police and other government agencies led the story, instead of just following the media's lead.

Raniere was attractive as a younger man. He wasn’t at all hideous, or grotesque. I myself, would’ve fucked him. And so would plenty of other straight women.
The women who were drawn into the cult, are highly codependent people. People pleasers, if you will.
I’m always willing to go out of my way to help someone who really needs it. I’ve done so numerous times. But once you start going for my wallet, I draw the line. Yes, I’ve paid people’s rents for a month when they were down and out, I’ve gotten people groceries, and I’ve driven people to job interviews. I’m fine with all of that if I can do it. But no way am I writing someone checks systematically, and allowing them to tell me what to do. There’s a big difference between being generous, kind, and paying it forward, as opposed to financing some loser’s lifestyle. People need to have boundaries.
I would wholeheartedly like to see Mack get a minimum of 5 years for this. Her mistake here wasn’t a one off. She didn’t have some drug induced breakdown, or even a nervous breakdown. I’ve seen those close up, and they’re messy as fuck, but not malicious. The people who go through stuff like that primarily hurt themselves.
Mack willingly and repeatedly went out and sought out women, in order to physically harm them. The women were under food deprivation, which I don’t believe was done because Raniere wanted to fuck only skinny chicks. He did that because it kept women in a haze from their food deprivation. Allison coerced them into sexual situations that weren’t necessarily voluntary, and she and other subjected the women to physical and verbal abuse.
She assisted actively in holding women against their will, by restricting their movements and communications with the outside world.
These are all pretty fucked up behaviors. I understand that she was being subjected to the same things. I also understand that she was brainwashed. However, she needs to do a minimum of 5 years in prison, or house arrest. The part that I cannot get over is that she actively sought out minors to be involved in this bullshit.
Allison Mack is a danger to herself, and others. She needs extensive deprogramming, and therapy. She should not be allowed to walk around as if though everything is OK. Everything is not OK, and she needs to be under strict, monitored supervision.

Yeah, why/how did this doc have access to snuff films? And how was any of that 'horror testing' supposed to further the cult's goals?
One of Raniere's ex's said that the charges thus filed are only the tip of the iceberg; maybe this will be explained as more people are indicted.

R419, there are images out there where Raniere isn’t wearing glasses, and looks attractive. I have standards, and I’ve managed to get through life without joining a cult, and being held captive. I think I’m doing OK, so far.
This guy was probably extremely charming. He had to be, or none of this would’ve worked. Charm trumps looks, always.
by Anonymous | reply 421 | May 5, 2018 9:41 PM |
Also, let me point out that while I believe many more claims of other criminal behavior regarding Raniere will surface, Raniere is already at the mark where he’s spending the next 15 years in prison.

by Anonymous | reply 422 | May 5, 2018 9:44 PM |
R423, they all use it. Motivational speakers do it, salespeople use it, etc.
I’m not attempting to provoke an argument with you. I think that we can agree that he had something going on, in order to persuade so many women to submit to his rules and regulations.
Yeah, why/how did this doc have access to snuff films? And how was any of that 'horror testing' supposed to further the cult's goals?
Probably, the films facilitated NXIVM's plans to break people psychologically. That is how this cult's modus operandi has been described - break people up, let them feel hopeless and without an emotional bedrock, and then re-build them back, teaching them that with NXIVM they will be unstoppable.

by Anonymous | reply 427 | May 6, 2018 3:13 AM |
Aside from situations where someone was already filming an event and things went suddenly sideways, like a big protest march during which a cop kills a protestor, for what purpose, other than psychological torture, would these films be made? Like, the dismemberment one? Why would anyone keep a video record of such crimes unless the point wasn't to commit the crimes, but to have the video to freak people out with?

I think that these were film clips from previous productions that were not snuff films. But we don’t know. Even with forensic analysis, it may be impossible to determine the origin of these films.
I have a close relative who works for one of the alphabet agencies. He has seen real snuff films, due to the fact that he was assigned to a unit that dealt exclusively with Mexican drug cartels. He says that these murders are almost always filmed, so that the recording of them can serve as a warning to others in the community, who resist their operations.
I don’t know, nor do any of us know, what Raniere had possession of, but it seems that his goal was the same as the cartels’: intimidation.
Raniere isn’t ever getting out of this one. Mack has no doubt, cut a deal, and he will live out the rest of his life in some supermax federal prison somewhere, where he’ll undoubtedly start a prison cult.
These guys can’t help themselves. It’s what they do.

I wondered that, too, R438. I guess if they were young. . I think they preyed on vulnerable people.
The blackmail reminds me of Scientology. Don't they get people to confess to personal things as well?
Also wondered about AA . Isn't that another cult with controlling personalities and mind control?
by Anonymous | reply 439 | May 7, 2018 1:28 AM |
R439, It all reminded me of COS. Same template. I’m wondering if this is a practice run to go after COS, as well. The COS can be accused of all of the exact same things, including the sex trafficking. If you recall, the COS had recruited an actress (I cannot recall her name, but she was on Homeland-very pretty dark skin, dark haired girl), to be Tom Cruise’s girlfriend. They had her sign confidentiality agreements, styled her hair, makeup, wardrobe, in order to move in with Cruise, sight unseen. She alleges that she lived with Cruise and was sexually involved with him for a month, (maybe more, cannot recall), until she said something that infuriated TC, and then was banished from his home, and sent to the Sea Org, and made to clean toilets, because she failed her assignment.
If the FBI is going after Raniere, it has every reason to also go after the COS. I hope that this is the beginning of that future effort.
AA doesn’t make one sign NDAs, or work for free, or have sex with AA members. So no, not the same.
by Anonymous | reply 440 | May 7, 2018 2:11 AM |
Yeah, CoS has a lot in common with this group, so how can they go after one group and not the other
AA may not have an official sex thing, but there is sex and mind control and intimidation. It needs an expose of some kind at least.

R442, I’ve been in AA for years. No mind control, no non consensual, non enthusiastic sex, no intimidation. Do assholes go to AA in order to prey on young, vulnerable men and women? Absolutely. Is it a group effort, and conspiracy in order to perpetuate criminal behavior, or even unethical, morally unsound behavior? No.

by Anonymous | reply 444 | May 7, 2018 2:45 AM |
What I’ve never understood is why Cruise and Miscaviage never went to jail for conspiring to tap Nicole Kidman’s phone? They directly hired Pelicano to do it. He didn’t come up with the idea to tap a famous movie actress’s phone on his own. He was consulted, and paid for the job. Why did he go to jail, and not the two people who hired him.
What does the COS have on someone, that they have not been shut down? Is the FBI understaffed? Why aren’t COS leadership being arrested and indicted?
by Anonymous | reply 445 | May 7, 2018 2:52 AM |
It's always money or threats. Honey or vinegar. Sometimes both.
I'm sure Pelicano makes deals with this clients that he will take the fall if there's a fall to take, and preserve his filthy rich clients' reputations. He may do a little time, but he makes the biggest bucks of all and gets repeat clients with serious wealth. Pelicano probably makes a deal with law enforcement that he serves some token amount of time. A lot like Jeffrey E who got to spend all his days outside of jail and only had to sleep in the cell once in awhile. You have enough money and dirt you can do anything, and hire PR to bury your messes, too.

Me too, R438. The minute they asked for "collateral" that should have been a HUGE red flag. And in what way did this freak help anyone? Ever. Why would these dopey actresses think some no name clown from Clifton Park, NY had any useful Hollywood connections? They practically had to live in that upstate NY backwater so he could repeatedly rape them. Idiots.

The appeal of both CoS and this seems, in large part, to be the allure of being part of an apparently privileged group. This particular con obviously preys on people's vanity. The blackmail element preys on insecurity and is the hook that keeps those inside from leaving. There's a similar thing going on with the QAnon bullshit, in as much as those who are pulled in by it seem to feel they're part of a privileged group of people who are "in the know". The sad fact is, there are an awful lot of people in the world susceptible to this kind of crap.
[R430], do you mean Rainere tried to make eye contact with Allison?
Yes.
As to the people saying she's being deprogrammed - do you have any evidence? What I think is happening, is that she's going through a very spontaneous process of abandoning Raniere and the cult, out of fear of being jailed.
by Anonymous | reply 457 | May 8, 2018 9:51 AM |
From R455’s link:
‘The curriculum was a closely guarded secret. One course book studied was George Orwell’s 1984. Ayn Rand’s works were also part of the curriculum. There were classes in logic and grammar. About 60 students attended – each paying $5,000 each in cash or services. [None of it was reported and cash was the preferred method of payment.] More than half the students were Mexicans.’
This is just too rich, in all ways possible. Raniere is going to rot in jail.
I’m actually really pleased this asshole is going away for good.
What the article fails to mention is that the Mexicans taking his courses, were wealthy Mexicans, who actually live in Mexico, and came to the US with student or work Visas.
by Anonymous | reply 458 | May 8, 2018 10:16 AM |
Here’s what puzzles me about these rich heiresses and trust fund babies: why did they not just go to an actual real, accredited university?
What are these wealthy kids being taught as they are growing up? What values are being instilled in them? I remember being a child, quite vividly. I loved learning, reading, etc. No one had to brow beat me to get my homework finished. All projects, papers, assignments were turned in on time throughout elementary school and up. By the 8th grade, I understood that the heat was on, and my acceptance into a decent university was contingent upon my performance. I wasn’t, nor am I a genius, but I was, and still am, highly disciplined when it comes to getting something done, and doing it well.
I had a pretty turbulent childhood, because I grew up with a mentally ill mother. All odds were stacked against me. However, school was my safe haven. It was the place where I had the opportunity to be one among many, and just blend in. I can’t imagine what would have happened to me had I not genuinely enjoyed school.
These wealthy women had much more going for them than I did. Why weren’t they setting their sights on Princeton, Yale, or Harvard? And please allow me to point out that you do not have to be wealthy in order to get into an Ivy, but it sure as fuck doesn’t hurt your chances, either.
Were these women just lazy? They went to the best schools through high school, at minimum. I doubt that they were stupid, or challenged because of a learning disability.
How the fuck do people born into privilege, end up forking over millions upon millions to an obvious charlatan, such as Keith Raniere? I can’t imagine how pissed off I’d be if I found out that my daughter took my hard earned money, and handed it over to this ass clown.
THIS is why you don’t give young adults a free ride. Are you wealthy? Do you have kids? Do yourselves a favor, and teach your children how to become self sufficient. Pay for their education, but don’t make the mistake of handling them over wads of cash. You’re doing them no favors by setting them up to become marks for the next predator who comes along. And there will ALWAYS be another one who comes along. Guaranteed.

r459 you have to look at what women are fed by society and those around them. I'm working with a couple of men who have young daughters around ages 8 - 10. They talk about all the worries they have and I tell them to encourage them to play sports. The guys who are outdoors men I tell them to teach their daughters to fish, hunt etc. or just take them with you and show them the same kind of respect and belief in their abilities you would a son. Help them start building confidence in their physical abilities because those are things you can measure. You can see the result from the effort and that is a good foundation. None of those fathers thought it was a good idea.
So I'm suggesting they help give their daughters basically the same attention they would a son and the idea is distasteful to them. Why? I'm guessing because they want their daughters to relate to them as fathers the same way they want grown women to relate to them, in the traditional male to female gender roles. Boys to this, women don't.
Women are socialized a certain way. They are socialized to want certain things out of life and are taught certain ways to get those things. You are seeing the result of that in this situation. The way women are taught to BE in the world makes them great targets. Like shooting fish in a barrel, low hanging fruit. It's been like this for millennia. I hope there is a radical shift soon cause I'm tired of watching this stupid shit.

He used to be hired gun for the Bronfman sisters and in 2015 he was condemned on several counts of fraud.

I thought there was something off about that Parlato dude and stopped reading his blog after reading about his attitude towards women, movies, liberals and his housing / real estate scams. It wouldn't surprise me if he knew all along that the self-help/executive success stuff was a front and he was enjoying seeing all of the rich, gullible, liberal-minded women getting scammed by the cult leader until he got bit in the ass by the nutjobs running the cult. This is a good read on Parlato. Unfortunately many of the links are no longer active but the author put in enough gems from the pen of Parlato to give a good laugh about his semen obsession, manliness, and hyenas.

wow, great find r496! That email is...unbelievable. It's making more sense now why his qualms with the cult have been so narrowly (and repetitively) focused. This guy is a total fucking lunatic. I wonder if he's made it to 32 years without release yet.

Funny that all Roseanne reruns are canceled but its still OK to air Smallville even though its star is involved in the human trafficking of children.
even though its star is involved in the human trafficking of children.
Tom Welling is involved in human trafficking?!
by Anonymous | reply 503 | June 1, 2018 6:26 PM |
Allison Mack appeared in 206 of Smallville's 211 episodes, R503. She is the second billed star of the series and she is one of the leaders of a cult that practices child and adult sex slavery, not to mention branding the slaves like cattle.
by Anonymous | reply 504 | June 1, 2018 6:29 PM |
But yet you felt the need to exaggerate to make your point r504.
The star of "Smallville" is unquestionably Tom Welling, that isn't even up for debate. Your sabotage your own argument by trying to twist facts.
by Anonymous | reply 505 | June 1, 2018 6:31 PM |
Oh, R505, you are walking a mile out of your way to disconnect Allison Mack from the series she starred in. According to your logic, John Goodman was never one of the stars on Roseanne.
by Anonymous | reply 506 | June 1, 2018 6:33 PM |
No, frankly I don't give a fuck if they did take Smallville off the air. I have no dog in this fight.
But facts matter, words matter. So many people, especially on the right, don't get that.
by Anonymous | reply 507 | June 1, 2018 6:35 PM |
But facts matter, words matter.
Yes they do. And the fact is, the female star of Smallville is one of the leaders in a cult that engages in sex slavery.
by Anonymous | reply 508 | June 1, 2018 6:40 PM |
Roseanne likened a Caucasian woman to another Caucasian woman who wore ape makeup in a movie. For this Roseanne is pulled from the airwaves.
Allison Mack recruited underage sex slaves and had them branded like cattle. The media does not want to report on this and they want you to keep watching Allison Mack's signature series, Smallville.
Double standard much?
by Anonymous | reply 509 | June 1, 2018 6:47 PM |
The media does not want to report on this
What?! It was reported everywhere. There was another big profile in the NYTimes just two days ago.
by Anonymous | reply 510 | June 1, 2018 6:49 PM |
The very first sentence of OP's article identifies Mack as a star of Smallville yet R505 wants you to believe that a TV show can only have one star.

[bold]Allison Mack and Me - Why would a child actor turn to NXIVM?[/bold]
A piece by Mara Wilson.
We were never close friends, and she wouldn’t remember me now. But we moved in the same circles: We were both child actors in L.A. in the late ‘90s and early 2000s, and we both loved to do volunteer work.
I didn’t keep up with her much after that, until, twenty years after first meeting her, I saw the headline “Allison Mack of Smallville Is Charged With Sex Trafficking.”
by Anonymous | reply 516 | July 28, 2018 1:21 AM |
Allison's Smallville co-star Michael Rosenbaum was asked about Allison's involvement in the cult. He is as shocked as everyone else.

Wow, if it wasn't clear before that the FrankReport was run by a nutjob, one glance at that site now would remove any doubt. And what is that lunatic Parlato's obsession with Kristin Kruek. I swear whenever I've looked at that site, he's got another post bitching about her just to bitch. She must have spurned him or worse laughed at him at some point. But who could blame her. He looks like someone with poor hygiene and halitosis.
by Anonymous | reply 518 | July 30, 2018 3:45 AM |
Looks like NXIVM's co-founder Nancy Salzman may be flipping to get a plea deal. She's been there from the beginning. Would be funny if she also ended up helping to convict that loony, racist, misogynist Parlato for his crimes. For a good laugh and look into the crazy, check out his man-making site where he describes women as "blood and puss filled" and raves about manliness and chastity. Unfortunately his link to his list of "Great WHITE Men to Admire" is not working but since he wrote puff pieces about Roger Stone recently, one can guess at the type of "men" it would include.

Did Grace Park renounce them? She's on the much-derided "A Million Little Things" that ABC is using to rip off "This Is Us."
by Anonymous | reply 520 | September 14, 2018 3:13 PM |
I think the only one of "known" actors who has publicly spoken out besides the whistleblower Sarah Edmondson is Kristen Kruek and Catherine Oxenberg. Supposedly Gerard Butler, Jennifer Anniston, Penelope Cruz and Rosario Dawson have been linked to the cult but that comes from the very unreliable Frank Parlato so there's probably nothing really there.
by Anonymous | reply 521 | September 14, 2018 3:41 PM |
I'm just asking because I thought she'd left acting to devote herself full-time to this.
by Anonymous | reply 522 | September 14, 2018 3:43 PM |
Where did you get that information? From IMDB, Park has made two films since leaving H50 with Kim over the pay inequality so she obviously did not leave acting.
by Anonymous | reply 523 | September 14, 2018 3:56 PM |
I'm not sure. Maybe I just mixed up something I read about her being so dedicated to it--despite being too old--with her departure from H50.

If you were reading the Frank Report, stuff on there is highly suspect especially with regards to what is written about the actresses. Parlato made headlines a few years back with his anti-Hollywood, anti-female views in an email that was shared by the film critic he fired. He wrote "I don’t want to publish reviews of films where women are alpha and men are beta. where women are heroes and villains and men are just lesser versions or shadows of females. i believe in manliness. If you care to write reviews where men act like good strong men and have a heroic inspiring influence on young people to build up their character (if there are such movies being made) i will be glad to publish these. i am not interested in supporting the reversing of traditional gender roles. it is my opinion that hollywood has robbed america of its manliness and made us a nation of eunuchs"

An exotic commitment renewal ceremony with his front-line followers was nothing more than a “group (oral sex)” session for alleged cult leader Keith Raniere that was interrupted when federal agents busted into his Mexican hideaway to arrest him, a former member testified Tuesday.
NXIVM lieutenant Lauren Salzman said she was taking a nap with Raniere before the “ceremony” began when agents surrounded the villa in March 2018.
Inside were several other women followers, one of whom screamed out “The police are at the door ... They’re here for Keith.”
Salzman said she immediately went into protective mode, urging Raniere to flee while she tried to stall the feds, who stood outside the house armed with machine guns.
“I ran and tried to protect Keith,” Salzman told jurors at Raniere’s sex trafficking trial in Brooklyn Federal Court.

Seagram heiress jailed for bankrolling sex cult
Wed, September 30, 2020, 7:04 PM CDT·2 mins read The heiress of the Canadian drinks empire Seagram was sentenced to more than six years in prison by a New York court Wednesday after pleading guilty in a sex trafficking scandal linked to a cult.
The 81-month sentence handed down to Clare Bronfman, 41, was seen as particularly stiff, since prosecutors had themselves only called for five years of incarceration.
Bronfman pleaded guilty last year to credit card fraud and harboring illegal immigrants on behalf of "self-help" group Nxivm, whose founder Keith Raniere was found guilty in June 2019 of having kept between 15 and 20 sex slaves for years.

You don't see any slaves who look like strippers or Kardashian trash. These are wholesome (looking) "good" girls with deep insecurities he could manipulate and control.
Allison Mack was also trying to recruit Kelly Clarkson, who fits the narrative, if not the BMI.

I always found Chloe kind of annoying on Smallville and Lana too. I can see they both had negative energy and my dislike was right on the money. I loved Lois though and Erica Durance so far has clean hands. Poor Tom, he probably feels awkward now knowing that had to be the love interest to two actress who were both involved in a sex trafficking cult.
