David Sedaris is not a good guy, no. One of his sisters was mentally ill and tried to cut him out of her life because he wouldn't stop using her as a source of subject matter: she just wanted to be left alone. She committed suicide and her surviving friends and neighbors reiterated that she'd been very upset at having her personal life used as fodder for David's writing career and her final wish was basically that he NOT write about her anymore and respect her privacy in death. Guess what he did? Asshole.

Amy Sedaris is kooky but awesome by all accounts I've read; not a user like David at all. My appreciation for her has grown over the years.

Faris has issues but I don't think Pratt is blameless. Something must be fucked up about him to have made him choose her for his wife. And then they had kids together and now his ultra-Christian ass is walking out on the family. All the Evangelicals adore him because of his devotion to Jesus but that makes him that much more of a hypocrite for getting a divorce imo.

In one profile, the reporter wrote that Anna had her over to her house in the middle of the day, opened a bottle of wine for them and filled her glass nearly to the brim. That stuck in my head because no one drinks when they're being interviewed anymore; people are too careful.

I think it is so interesting that every time someone is awkward in public, Americans immediately think they're drunk or high. Why is this? Has natural awkwardness been rooted out of America in the last few years or so?

The thing I don't like about her is that she is not a beautiful women, yet she presents herself as one. She's not unattractive, but she's not as good looking as she presents herself to be. She should lose the bangs, dress more down, sort of like Jennifer Garner. I couldn't tell if she was high or just nervous, or trying to go for a performance. I don't think she was drunk, because her responses were quick, even though they were oddly delivered. She would have been much chattier if on coke or anything like that. I did not find her act to be appealing at all.

It didn't help that Colbert didn't exactly try to have a conversation with her. I don't care for him. The few times I've seen him, he seems more intent on presenting himself as a somewhat smug interviewer who wants to make sure you know how smart he is, than a host who really wants to have a conversation with his guest. His delivery doesn't give the other much person to engage in a normal manner; he's too arch.
