Jane Pauley New Host of CBS Sunday Morning?

Pauley began her role as host on October 9, 2016. Welcome back, OP.

I always found her snarky on Today.

I think she's done well. She's very thin however and this is only accentuated by her big head.

She's awful and her script is embarrassingly tired is she writing that rubbish?

i saw her in a coffee shop last week in our neighborhood, early morning she came in and met a woman of the same type, middle aged, well groomed, ues "low key" demeanor. She looked great and seemed to be having a pleasant chat with her pal

i remarked to my bud afterward that i wasn't sure at first that it was her because she looked so youthful.

She was "snarky" because she had to deal with Bryant Gumbel - NBC'S Head Chief of Snark and Self-Adulation. Gumbel was insufferable condescending to Jane. I used to watch that show in 80s and couldn't believe the ego on that man.

agree, but to his credit, gumbel did say that talking to jerry hall (the current mrs. r. murdoch) was like talking to the fucking wall.

Very bland.

Very bland. Smarmy and inauthentic, which is a deadly combination. But she's leading with her twat so they won't dare to drop her.

I wish there were a couple of shows like that on at prime time

I love Sunday Morning. Been watching it since Charles Kuralt days and look forward to hearing the intro French horn music.

Yes, r15. That was always an uplifting and relaxing finale to a wonderful program. The producers/directors/writers really put their hearts and souls into those "nature" segments. I noticed CBS cut back on the length of the segments which was (and continues to be) disappointing.

Aww, I did not know they cut back on the length. I haven't had TV since 2009 but this is a show I would watch.

How was I acting superior, R19? I just said I didn't have TV. I made a couple of big moves. I said would watch this show if I had TV again.

I'm about 7 years younger than Jane and grew up in Indianapolis. Jane Pauley and David Letterman both started there broadcast careers there on local news and weather programs. Both of them got out. They were the proof I needed that it could be done. One could escape that SHIT HOLE.

Both of them were so important and I remain grateful.
