When I worked w/ the entertainment industry, my organization worked with mostly C-plus stars, a handful of D-listers and a few A-list veterans. In my experience, the lower-caliber the actor or reality star, the more demanding and difficult s/he was. This was pretty consistent. Jon Voight, Jamie Lee Curtis, Barbara Eden, Katey Sagal and other household names were laid back and friendly and flexible. Penelope Cruz came with the full-blown flu and did her job without a complaint. Young actors from soap operas and shows like “Heroes” were contemptable. On the other hand, the better-known people basically showed up and handled themselves, whereas the up-and-comers were visibly bossed around by publicists and handlers, who would make demands on the actors’ behalfs while the actors pouted and complained. All those interactions really broke through the Hollywood smoke and mirrors.

I don’t know Pettyfer but he’s gorgeous, which means he is treated like a god by most people. He’s drawn to cameras and happy to strip down, so it’s almost inevitable that he is a narcissist.
