I heard her talk once at a showing of Elvira, Mistress of the Dark that she was hosting in Austin. During the Q&A session she talked a bit about her friends all dying during the height of the AIDS epidemic. Her voice got bitter at that point.

My Halloween tradition is watching Elvira, Mistress of the Dark. And a little grave robbing. I could almost quote the movie at this point.

Omg! I had no idea there was a sequel/second movie r4. I love Mistress of the Dark.

It was self-financed and funded, r17 (which Elvira said in an interview she personally regrets)! It's pretty funny though, and there's a great song in it:

"All I can get this ring to do anymore is look cheap!"

It's a fun, campy movie. I haven't seen the sequel yet either, but I think I might have to check it out.

Ever the entrepreneur, Cassandra/Elvira now has a replica of the ring she wore in the movie for sale (along with other jewelry pieces).

That reminds me, I still haven't received the Elvira toilet bowl cleaner I ordered in 2003.

Granted, I have seen her both IN Elvira makeup and OUT of Elvira makeup in person with a day's separation, so the makeup and wig definitely remove a few decades.

I remember when they actually showed that on TV, R32! Except they replaced the Elvira music with some patriotic Yankee-Doodle song, for some reason.

And yet for some reason they filtered out the "about as much as a leper needs a three way mirror" and replaced "leper" with "Roseanne".

Sorry, "Roseanne Barr" is what she said. I don't know why I remember that, but I do. It was on network TV. Can't remember which channel. Elvira probably has it on her website somewhere since I remember she said that was the first time someone had twirled tassles on network TV.

While she does indeed look great for her age, I've noticed she (or her 'people') have started using special lighting and photoshopping her photos on social media.

Funny that you think Elvira has "people" - one of the reasons I love her so much is that she's so homespun. She does almost everything herself.

R45 That's Bill Cable. He was a popular nude model in the 70s. He was Cassandra's boyfriend at the time the did the nude layout. He was also in some movies like Elvira, Mistress of the Dark (as the Cop) and Basic Instinct (as Sharon Stone's first victim).

There is a huge candy store in the Dolby Theater complex called Sweet! It’s full of candy but also random stuff. There is a big room dedicated to Elvira merch and artifacts. There is also one for RuPaul. It had a lot of dresses on display, and they had RuPaul chocolate bars for sale.

R52 She's a natural redhead, so that's her bush in all it's glory. She was in several of the skin magazine's in the mid-70s. Once she became famous, the pictures were ran again in some of the magazines and made the rounds on the internet.

Cassandra just had some work done on her face. She looks a tad different, especially around the mouth area. She still looks great. I really hope Netflix or another streaming service greenlights a new Elvira movie. It's such a big brand with a massive fan base. The comic book series was just relaunched and is a big success.

When she got hired to do Movie Macabre on local TV in L.A., she was paid so little they let her retain the rights to the character ... she probably thought she could sell a few T-shirts and posters.

That move probably made her tens, if not hundreds, of millions of dollars.

R56 I noticed she was talking a little differently and look a bit refreshed for the ads for her Halloween special for storage wars. She looks good though. I linked to one of the ads.

R57 I've seen her net worth given between 3 and 4.5 million online. Those sites are often wildly inaccurate though. She's joked when hawking new items that she has "bills to pay" so she might not be as quite loaded as some think she is. "Elvira" certainly holds some worth though.
