A twink Dahmer? WTF?
by Anonymous | reply 8 | October 13, 2017 6:04 PM |
I liked I went to the prom with Dahmer even though it was a little hokey
by Anonymous | reply 9 | October 13, 2017 6:22 PM |
It looks really good. Seems like Ross Lynch is a very capable actor.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | October 13, 2017 6:22 PM |
Ross Lynch looks a lot like Chloe Sevigny in OP's pic (she'd be wonderful as Dahmer).
by Anonymous | reply 11 | October 13, 2017 6:45 PM |
Do either Ross Lynch or Jeffrey Dahmer appeal to any particular DL trolls? Dahmer may appeal to PMBT/John, the Program Troll.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | October 13, 2017 6:49 PM |
Give it a fucking rest r12.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | October 13, 2017 6:51 PM |
I'm fascinated. So there.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | October 13, 2017 6:55 PM |
So pleased to discover the writer's real name ISN'T "Derf Backderf."
by Anonymous | reply 15 | October 13, 2017 6:56 PM |
Why can't they get the wigs right in these sorts of movies?
by Anonymous | reply 16 | October 13, 2017 7:19 PM |
Why do they even use wigs -- can't they just have the actors grow their hair?
by Anonymous | reply 17 | October 13, 2017 7:31 PM |
[quote] Why do they even use wigs -- can't they just have the actors grow their hair?
You can't grow that kind of stupid.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | October 13, 2017 7:34 PM |
The actor looks too hot. I think JD looks a lot nerdish and awg as a teen.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | October 13, 2017 7:40 PM |
It looks like the book come to life in the trailer. Excellent.

I need videos of shor.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | October 14, 2017 8:46 PM |
I don't want to watch anything to do with that freak. He's dead and buried and fuck him. This is sensationalist trash.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | October 14, 2017 9:03 PM |
Thank you r22
by Anonymous | reply 23 | October 16, 2017 2:54 PM |
r16 Budget restraints. A realistic looking wig, especially if its 'period', could easily start at $3,000 and up depending on length, color, etc. and if it's custom made. It's easier for the "Hair" department to "wig them" from their own stock or rent them for the production. Often these 'cheap' wigs cannot be styled properly or cut, so the hair department is left trying to make something out of nothing.

He's got the proper smelling cookies expression
by Anonymous | reply 25 | October 16, 2017 3:10 PM |
Those glasses. Jeffrey Dahmer, and all the murderers on Forensic Files wear them. what's up with that????
by Anonymous | reply 26 | October 16, 2017 3:23 PM |
Based on a fictional graphic novel.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | October 16, 2017 3:28 PM |
Nope. Derf grew up with Dahmer and he is famous for telling it precisely how it was.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | October 16, 2017 3:39 PM |
People are fed a constant diet of this and then they are surprised when there are more insane killings.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | October 16, 2017 3:48 PM |
That's not at all the point of the graphic novel. If anything, it's the opposite -- it shows how Dahmer was a peculiar kid with a lot of troubles, but that with proper guidance and parenting, with friends to support him, JD could have gone the other way, and just been exxentric rather than homicidal. Derf, as one of JD's friends, accepts some measure of responsibility, but also sees his typically 70s self-centered parents as being the primary culprits.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | October 16, 2017 4:02 PM |
"eccentric"
by Anonymous | reply 31 | October 16, 2017 4:02 PM |
I've read reviews of this movie that suggest that if only society had let Dahmer express his true sexuality he may not have gone on to be a murderer. I hate movies like this, because they inevitably want you to sympathize with someone who should be given absolutely no sympathy whatsoever. Jeffrey Dahmer was a person without any redeeming values at all. Dahmer killed 17 men and boys that we know of. Here are just some of his victims.
Steven Hicks, 19.
Location: Bath Township. June 1978.
Method: He got him drunk then hit with a dumb-bell and finally strangled.
Disposal: After killing Steven he dismembered the body with a carving knife.
mes "Jamie" Doxtator, 14.
Location: Dahmers grandmothers house. West Allis, South of Milwaukee. January 16, 1988.
Method: The victim was drugged then strangled. His flesh was removed from the bones with acid and the bones were once again pulverised.
Raymond Lamont Smith, 33.
Location: 213 Oxford Apartments, North 25th street. May 20, 1990.
Method: Strangled the victim then engaged in oral sex with the cadaver. He then dismembered the body and removed the head, the skull was then painted grey and placed in his fridge.
Konerak Sinthasomphone, 14.
Location: 213 Oxford Apartments, North 25th street. May 27, 1991.
Method: Konerak was drugged and experimented on before he was strangled. The experiments were to drill a hole into the back the cranium and injecting hydrochloric acid into the frontal lobes of the brain, while he was still alive. Such experiments were to create a 'zombie' in order to be in complete control of his victim.
Disposal: The body was dismembered and stored in the acid.
Dahmer used to drill holes in the heads of his victims skulls and have sex with them. This doesn't sound like someone who even had a heathy sexuality to express. We also know that Dahmer killed his first victim about two weeks after graduating Highs School. So while your watching pretty blond Ross Lnych up on screen remember that he's not the real Jeffrey Dahmer realize that the guy he was playing was already fantasizing about killing guys when he was still a teen.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | October 17, 2017 8:25 AM |
I guarantee you that fucker started fantasizing about killing guys when he hit puberty. Do you know how many kids grow up in broken homes? How many are teased? They don't grow up and become serial killers. Hell, most Killers don't go on to do the terrible horrible sick shit this fucker did. Jeffrey Dahmer was an outcast because of the way he acted. He wasn't let astray by a cruel society that didn't understand him. He wad evil from the jump. He planned on killimg that joggwr with a baseball bat. That was his fantasy not sex. He could have had sex with any one of his victims but that's not what he wanted, he wanted to torture and kill cannibalize them. I'm glad that sick fuck died bloody and afraid.

[QUOTE]I've read reviews of this movie that suggest that if only society had let Dahmer express his true sexuality he may not have gone on to be a murderer.
Reviewers may say that, but is that the actual message depicted in the movie? If so, that’s very harmful.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | October 17, 2017 12:07 PM |
like 99.99% of gay men didn't become serial killers despite living in the same society, so I'm not sure why that would be a valid argument for Dahmer. He was just fucked up.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | October 17, 2017 12:26 PM |
[quote] He wad evil from the jump.
And then he blew his wad after he jumped his victims.

R30, The movie/comic book was made because he was a killer - no other reason. It's all about the celebration of the killer. Every detail about him to be cherished. A worship of murder.
Yes, R35 and R36.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | October 17, 2017 12:54 PM |
Oh look, Sherlock Shirley from web sleuths @ r34 has joined us. You know, the frumpy fraus who are always so hopeful that felons will be raped in prison?
Since you knew him so well as a teen, r34, I guess we should defer to your judgment. It makes much more sense to just say they are PURE EVIL than to maybe identify things that went wrong when they were young and maybe think about preventing killing sprees like his from happening again. After all, it's more fun to scream MONSTER and we can't do that if we actually get help at an early age for future Dahmers, can we?
by Anonymous | reply 39 | October 17, 2017 3:23 PM |
[quote]The movie/comic book was made because he was a killer - no other reason.
Of course.
[quote]It's all about the celebration of the killer.
What. A. Moron.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | October 17, 2017 3:24 PM |
Saw an early screening of this. Was surprised at how much period reality they were able to capture on a small budget.
The director/writer did a great job of flipping the teen movie cliché of growing up with zoned out teachers and parents and showing how a clearly troubled teen like Dahmer could easily slip by. It's really a miracle that we don't have more serial killers like him.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | October 17, 2017 3:51 PM |
R29 is right. If people can't get fame through positive attention, negative attention will do.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | October 17, 2017 4:00 PM |
Thanks r41. I'm glad to read that it's a lot like the graphic novel.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | October 17, 2017 4:04 PM |
R40, you are the "moron" who cannot critically examine the propaganda of our times. You eat it up.
by Anonymous | reply 44 | October 17, 2017 4:08 PM |
No r39 apparently it's easier for people like you to blame everyone else but the person who actually committed crimes. Did you watch any of Dahmer's trial? Read any of his interviews. Even he didn't blame society or his parents for who he was. Society is filled with plenty of weird freaky off-putting kids none of whom go on to become vicious vile disgusting murderers. Why didn't he tell someone about the thoughts and fantasies he was having since he was a kid? Why is it always someone elses fault? I guess if he had you tied up to a bed about to drill a f****** hole in your head your first thought would be Gee I wonder what society did to make him like this? Poor guy.
by Anonymous | reply 45 | October 18, 2017 8:36 AM |
Doesn't the graphic novel and the movie kind of suggested Dahmer's weird behavior was his way of trying to blend in for appearance sake. "Hey I'm the crazy spazkid not the guy who fantasizes about killing you all and eating your flesh and raping your corpse guy."
Psychopaths are very good at going undetected. It's pretty clear Dahmer enjoyed what je was doing.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | October 18, 2017 8:42 AM |
He tried to blend in more from basic human need to fit in desires.
Judgements, labels and morals aside; people enjoy all kinds of different things for all kinds of reasons.

[quote]No [R39] apparently it's easier for people like you to blame everyone else but the person who actually committed crimes.
Sorry but your "ivory tower libtard" narrative doesn't work here, frumpy flyover frau @ r45. Dahmer is definitely responsible for his crimes. So is Gacy and so is Bundy, and all the others. I've never said anything to the contrary.
What you're petty judgmentalism is getting in the way of is seeing that people are shaped by their surroundings and if anyone is paying the least attention, they may be able to a) help the person move down the right path rather than the wrong one and b) get the person help, whether the person wants it or not.
Maybe if that had happened Dahmer's victims would still be alive today. But that would rob you of your opportunity to feel better about yourself by judging others, so of course you don't want that.
by Anonymous | reply 48 | October 18, 2017 3:05 PM |
I really liked the graphic novel. The art lent a creepiness that I hope comes across in the film.
by Anonymous | reply 49 | October 18, 2017 3:13 PM |
I'm the libtard? You're the person who actually thinks someone who could commit such heinous crimes actually had a right path to go down. Or would have taking it even if it was offerd to him. Do you believe everything you see in a movie?
Everyone is shaped by their surroundings but most don't go on to become serial killers even if they come from really bad situations. This guy practiced killing things when he was a child, he fantasized about murdering people at least as early as his teen years.
I'm sorry to break this to you but some people just evil. No amount of counseling can do anything about it. It's not Mommy and Daddy's fault, not his surroundings. Just him.
