Flash Season 4:Flash Reborn

I'm not excited about this season after the mediocre season 3 but we'll see.

Season 3 was truly awful. They should just reboot the show on another Earth. Keep Barry and get a whole new support cast.

Just finished watching Supergirl Season 2 on DVD, and while it wasn't a very good show, it was much better than the Flash.

Apparently Season 4 will be much lighter and less depressing than the very dark Season 3. That's what they mean with the Barry being "reborn" stuff. It also won't have another speedster as the season's main villain, which is very welcome IMO.

Season three sucked ass. Not likely to give the show another chance.

Give Wally a boyfriend & maybe I'll watch.

Since Flash has been a disappointment when it comes to gay characters, giving Wally a boyfriend would be wonderful.

R8 With all the different timelines and alternate Earths, it's simple to write in a gay Wally for an episode, but this show is too concerned about keeping the male geek viewers to risk it.

r10 I'd think they'd have already tuned out. Now they just have to keep the generic CW Rom Com audience who are somehow able to invest themselves in WestAllen.

Almost the entire male cast are played by gay men so what more do you want? Wally is in love with Jesse Quick. They have sex at super-speed.

They have two gay characters if they ever wanted to use them: the Central City police captain and the Pied Piper....

The lazy writing made me lose interest. The Savitar season was terrible.

The third season was too heavy with Barry being terrified of losing Iris. Impending doom is one thing, but the Flash really wrote itself into a corner with all the overhyped mysteries (who is the mystery villain season? Who will betray Barry this season? Who will die this season? Who will get to sing this season?Which Harry Wells will Tom C. play this season?) each season. When you amp up the expectations you are bound to disappoint a lot of audience members (what, that's it? I could have come up with something way better / I read some fan theory that was way better than the show came up with!).

DC should introduce 'Infectious Ass' into continuity and then have Greg Louganis play him.

Peek-a-Boo is my favorite underutilized villain on the Flash and I think she has only popped up on two episodes. Laura Lance's evil alter ego was also a favorite. Katie Cassidy was a better villain than hero.

As for people who hate Barry and Iris, that's silly. She is his Lois Lane. She was always meant to be a bigger part of the series than they allowed her to be the past two seasons. It took fans complaining before they boosted her role which works here.

They wasted Tom Felton. Elongated Man makes the show cheesier than necessary.

Cisco does his building/electronics thing. Cait/Killer Frost does her chemistry thing. Iris uses her reporter skills to dig up info and directs Barry when there is trouble while he's active. Her dad handles the police. Wells backs them all up with his knowledge of Barry's powers. I do like Cecile as Joe's girlfriend so now he has a life outside of his children. Same with Gypsy and Cisco. Wally was the redundant one in that bunch and the producers knew it. I do think they should have at least let him stay with and run off to see his girlfriend on the other earth. That would have been a better temporary exit.

The flashbacks on Arrow killed it for me years ago. I did like when they brought Rutina Wesley on as Lady Cop. It seemed like they might bring her back at some point but now she's on Queen Sugar.

Legends of Tomorrow was an okay show but they have tried to make it the comedic series of the bunch and it doesn't work for me. I could take or leave the new girl but I like the rest of the cast. I don't miss Hawkgirl or Hawkman. I'll miss the Professor since it's obvious he's leaving. I'm beyond over Damien Dhark.

Last week's episode, with the men and women out for bachelor/bachelorette parties, was so terrible contrived - even by this show's normally contrived standards!

Well, this year The Flash is okay. Though Nora is starting to grate lately. Especially since she seems to be working with the Flash enemy.

When the hell did this show turn into "The Candice Patton Show"? I'm catching up on seasons 3 and 4 on Netflix and I spend more time fast forwarding than actually watching. She's the team leader and a speedster now? It's almost unwatchable. No wonder so many original cast members are leaving.

Cisco would be a terrible loss. Cicada has been a horrible arc made worse by cheap ass production values. That jagged , glowing boomerang looks like something from Spencer’s. Iris is a totally plot driven character. I imagine she gets more screen time because she has no powers to create post production work & expense.

There is talk Cisco's leaving but also Tom Cavanagh after next years cross over. It will end up all about Iris and her father and stepmother. Maybe it should end next year like Arrow.

I love Jessica Parker Kennedy, but the Nora character was like the Dobby elf (spelling?) from the Harry Potter series where she thinks she helps, but makes everything worse and she keeps messing things up again and again.

It was clear she's leaving the show the moment she came out campaigning to get cast on the new Buffy remake or reboot. And I do hope she gets cast on the show, because I think she's a great and fun actress.
