Oh, MUST they?!

Beautiful bedding

The vintage Polo bear tees have been back in for a while among RL collectors.

I think they are whimsical. A little whimsy is nice. Would I pay $400 for a sweater with one on it? No, I am poor.

by Anonymousreply 409/12/2017

I think they are tremendous!

i adore RL clothes, designs ect.

but alas, not in MY budget.

by Anonymousreply 609/12/2017

I worked for Polo when they were popular. I love RL's clothes, but the bears didn't do it for me. I hated them then, hate them now. THey're not cute, they're not subversive, they're not..anything. If some people like them, fine, let them get them. I have no interest. THey're just stupid.

by Anonymousreply 709/12/2017

Cute! I like the one in a smoking jacket and holding a martini that comes out at Christmas time.

by Anonymousreply 809/12/2017

I was wearing a pair of RL Bear boxers when I broke my leg in 14 places and shattered my ankle. I wouldn't let the ER nurses cut them off of me to prep for surgery, and instead withstood several minutes of excruciating pain as we manoeuvred them off of my mangled leg. Yes, I like the RL Bears.

by Anonymousreply 909/12/2017

The model is beautiful.

The sweater is ludicrous.

They've BEEN back and collectors will pay a ton for them.

by Anonymousreply 1209/12/2017

I still have my RL teddy pillow cases from college. They're in one of the guest rooms and people love them.

by Anonymousreply 1309/12/2017

That sweater is just embarrassing.

by Anonymousreply 1409/12/2017

The r11 sweater is adorable.

by Anonymousreply 1509/12/2017

by Anonymousreply 1609/12/2017

No. Not for adults.

Or if you're going to, you might as well buy yourself a Jenny Kee koala 'sweater', vintage 1982. (Like the one Princess Di wore)

by Anonymousreply 1709/13/2017

It's not really a bear for kids either. Why would Lauren come up with something like this? It doesn't seem like his style.

by Anonymousreply 1809/13/2017

Not after the age of 10.

by Anonymousreply 1909/13/2017

There are so many old white men who are afraid to stand out. That's why they have the most boring haircuts, boring shirts, boring pants, boring shoes. Just boring people.

by Anonymousreply 2109/18/2017

These are marketed to HAGS. And they'll tell you this gift is an heirloom.

by Anonymousreply 2209/18/2017

R7 Why?

by Anonymousreply 2310/22/2017

Fucking basic.

For trashy fraus that wear Pandora.

by Anonymousreply 2410/22/2017

These we're popular? I don't remember them

by Anonymousreply 2510/22/2017

I hate to admit it, but I love them. I have a dozen dessert plates from the 80's with them on them. Guests love them more than my grandmother's Flora Danica.

by Anonymousreply 2610/22/2017

They're adorable and even better in cashmere.

by Anonymousreply 2710/23/2017

The sexy, confident guys who should wear these won't. It's the annoying try-hards who are desperate for attention--good or bad--who will wear them.

by Anonymousreply 2810/23/2017

Mine are in a box. Vintage. Shall I get them out for fall.

by Anonymousreply 2910/23/2017

R28 I'm sexy and confident, and I LOVE mine

by Anonymousreply 3010/24/2017

I'll buy one for each of my Humboldt FIgurines

by Anonymousreply 3110/25/2017

I prefer this purveyor of bears:

Does anybody else think that the "smokeybear" ad on DL is hilarious on a thread about RL teddy bear sweaters?

Ralph Lauren is a putz. He willing dressed that skank, Melania Trump, so gives a FUCK about him now?

by Anonymousreply 3601/06/2019

That would be the perfect addition to my fire pit.
